Weekly Wrap Up is our end of the week digest of smaller news stories that are just as important, but didn’t get a dedicated post. Here’s what you missed from August 14th to August 20th!

Pokémon Sun & Moon

  • The Salazzle event has begun! Head to your local GAMESTOP (US, Italy, Denmark, Norway, & Sweden), EB Games (AUS), GAME store (UK, Spain), Nintendo Zones (Germany), Micromania (France), Game Mania (Belgium, The Netherlands), Tienda Vertigo (Costa Rica), or Esti Games (Panama) between now and September 4th to pick up a serial code!
  • For those of you who participated in Global Mission #8, your 5 Rare Candies and 1 Fast Ball can now be redeemed! After you log into the Global link click here to obtain your serial code anytime between now and September 28th!

Pokkén Tournament DX

  • During the awards ceremony for the World Championships of Pokkén Tournament it was announced that a special demo for Pokkén Tournament DX will become available on the eShop – no other details were given about exactly when the demo will become available or what content it will have

Pokémon Gold & Silver on VC

  • Special packaged versions for the upcoming re-release of Pokémon Gold & Silver have been announced for Europe. No details on whether this packaged version will come with any special features or offers, or its price

My Nintendo Rewards

  • For those in Europe the following games have been added to the My Nintendo Rewards discount program to download for the Wii U: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, Pokémon Rumble U

Pokémon GO

  • Following it’s reveal in Yokohama, Shiny Pikachu is now available worldwide in GO! Making Pikachu, Raichu, Magikarp, and Gyarados the only shinies available so far – Tap on those Pikachu and try your luck!

Pokémon Duel

  • You can participate in the Dragon Gym Cup until August 23rd to get the Mega Salamence figure and other prizes

Magikarp Jump

  • The final update for Magikarp Jump, v1.3, is now available for download!  This update add the new Master League, Friendship Items, decorations, and more! Full details here

Pokémon Shuffle

  • The brand new Tapu Lele is available from now until August 29th
  • A new Pokémon Safari is available. Running from now until August 29th, it includes Deerling Summer Form, Sawsbuck Summer Form, Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Drampa
  • The Mega Beedrill competitive stage is having a repeat run from now until August 22nd This is a competitive stage that runs until August 22nd 2017
  • The Azelf, Uxie and Mesprite stages have begun a repeat run from now until August 29th

  5. So I’m seeing some people saying that maybe each of the UBs have their own spaces and the one we went to in SM was specifically for Nihilego. Meanwhile that weird grass forest with the rice farmers we saw in the USUM trailer would be for Kartana. It’s an interesting idea

  20. I asked this before, but if there was a Pokejungle league (like ones in anime) were we all are Sawyer-like characters, what would be your story, where would you be from, what would your partner and team be?

      His starter was a litten
      He caught a pichu before his first trial
      after his first trial he found a Grubbin egg
      Pichu evolved during the water trial
      Litten evolved into Torracat after battling with Totem Salazzle
      Before the grass trial he caught an Alolan Grimer that was stealing his trash
      In Lush Jungle he met an Oranguru that joined him
      He bought a thunder stone for Pikachu (and used it)
      Grubbin finally evolved before fighting Totem Vikavolt
      After the ghost trial he caught a Stufful
      Grimer evolved defending Stufful from a Garbodor
      His Torracat evolved
      He found a Psychium Z when he got lost in the desert, Oranguru helped him find the exit
      Charjabug evolved in Vast Poni Canyon
      He found an Aloraichium Z after beating the last trial
      He decided to fight the international league (where you’d all be)
      He challenged Guzma and won a bugium Z from him and Poisonium Z from Plumeria
      Kukui gave him Incinium Z as a goodbye present
      Stufful evolved before Huberet entered the league

  21. OK I PLAYED TWO ZONES OF SONIC MANIA AND HOLY FUCK

    This game is amazing. Like… it’s incredible. The level design is way better than the originals, you have such a good sense of momentum, the animationon everything is great, and it’s just so much fun.

    The 60 FPS and Wide field of view make it playable in 2017 and it’s just… IM HAVING FUN WITH A SONIC GAME

    Even if you’ve never played a sonic game, play this game. It’s fantastic and Sega needs to see that this is good

  23. So Pokken Tournament DX si getting a special demo even though it is only an upgraded version of Pokken Tournament. (I am assuming because I haven’t been keeping up with Pokken news). I am starting to think that it is more likely that we are going to get a demo for USUM and everything is going to be leaked! Again!

  24. Also Gamexplain has finally made a second video on the info revealed on Friday. The first video was 11 minutes. This one is nearly 33 minutes. Gamexplain is returning to top form.

  25. I want that Jangmo-O Plush, the Fugtrio ones look dumb and bad, but then so does the Pokemon (to me anyway). Actually the Passimian one is better than I expected, the Stufful is almost real 😛
    The cloths at the bottom have walking Pokemon sprites which look nice.

  27. Hate to say it, but I’ve watched almost none of this years Worlds. I watched the opening ceremony of course, but for some reason this weekend I just couldn’t find myself interested enough in the streams to jump on. I caught the last part of the final Masters division round to see who would be the champion, but ultimately I haven’t really seen anything of this year….Tis a shame, but oh well

      • It was easier to fit King into the name than Royalty? Also King can be attributed to women, it’s just very very uncommon.

          • I know Hatshepsut more than anybody she put beard on her face to lock like a male though but Pharaoh and King r different title in other hand Egyptian worshiping the sun so it’s all about male……..I wonder how little girl like u know Hatshepsut I met Egyptian ppl that didn’t.

          • Age, Gender etc are irrelevant to knowledge. Knowledge is for anyone who seeks it. Maybe she just has an interest in it or looked it up before commenting.

          • Queen is the common and usually correct term. King has historically been attributed only under special circumstances to women, mostly for official reasons.

      • After i lost my previous job six months ago, i’ve had luck to find about this superb website that was a life saver… make $85 every hour and get paid at the end of each week …They offer online home-based work. My last month check after working with them for 3 months was $12000… Amazing thing about it was that only requirement for the job is basic typing and reliable internet…

          • I honestly think the new Ben 10 is decent (At least, compared to the other reboots), it’s not nearly was bad as some of the other shows on CN. But, that’s just me, I tend to have a lot of unpopular opinions.

          • I mean, it sticks to the basic plot of the show. A kid finds a watch while on vacation with his grandpa and cousin that allows him to transform into different aliens. I won’t deny that it doesn’t match up to the original (not by a long shot), but I still think it’s one of the better reboots.

          • The OG show had a little darker, more monster-like style, this one is too smooth and child-friendly. I also hate that they just through out the window the big universe with a sh*t ton of cool characters with their own personalities and races, a lot of cool concepts, locations etc that were created during the 4 shows that created a great long story where the characters actually grew up and changed. It’s an unpopular opinion, but as a person who watched all the shows, Omiverse was the best one because they used the giant universe to their advantage and still were creative. It’s just a shame that It’s over and It’s replaced with a meh reboot. It’s like TTG for TT fans, the diffrence is this one is trying to be the same thing the OG show was (TTG is mostly a(n usually bad ) parody

          • Each to their own. I preferred when it seemed to be going somewhere. I really don’t enjoy the style, I even preferred Alien Force which had a somewhat ‘flat’ style. I guess the story and action could win me over with Spiderman. I’ve been watching Spiderman cartoons since the 90’s one (probably my favourite), and have seen some of the earlier ones.

          • My main issues with it were Gwen and Kevins’ new designs and that Max had no eyes, like if he had started that way like Brock I’d have been OK with it. Oh and I didn’t much like the Big Chill redesign. Otherwise yeah, it and the future episodes from the original series are probably my favourites.

      • There’s actually not much relating to Homecoming so far. Instead of just going to a regular high school, he goes to this special nerd school for smarties called Horizon High. The Vulture is the first villain to show up, but he’s not like how he is in the movie (and not in a bad way). Aña (I think that’s how you spell it) and Miles Morales even show up too (they’re different Spider-Men/Women).Overall, it’s pretty good so far. Give it a watch to see for yourself.

  32. Well after driving around for a few hours I’ve failed to find any eclipse glasses. I certainly won’t be waiting to the last second to acquire things in high demand anymore. I’ve learned my lesson.

  34. What should I go for next for shiny hunting? I was thinking either Sandygast or Comfey. Now that I have my Shedinja up into the 50’s level wise I can prolly go for some Pokemon at slightly higher levels lol

  40. GF to Ben 10 makers (sorry for posting about it so much, nobody’s posting anything else anyways)
    -We want to sue you! fourarms is a red machamp with a shirt!
    -Incineroar is a fire/dark Rath

    • If Incineroar looked more like original Rath it might be better. I think I’d prefer if Incineroar was initially hunched over on all fours and stood up to attack, whilst also being more feral looking and not having the weird grey shirt (which would look better black or its’ main colour). Also I’d change the red to a more burnt orange, like a slightly darker and more vibrant version of Arcanine’s body fur. This is how I’d (try) to improve Incineroar.

        • It would still be a wrestler though. It would be more similar to how a Gorilla stands (please note ‘more similar’ not ‘the same’). And frankly it could do with looking more like a real tiger.

  54. Finished my exams and my report, time to give my Switch some love! Gonna hunt for full upgraded rubber in BotW, but I’m stuck at the annoying golfing shrine. I know what the trick is supposed to be, but your allignment has to be so precise, ugh.

  57. Looking at the best switch bundles, my goal is to have Arms, Oddyssey, Spla2n, MK8 and the spla2n controller with the switch for the total of around 560-580$. Any of you know any good offers?

    • I think there is a Switch bundle with Splatoon 2 and the pro controller but I’m not 100% sure

      I would recommend getting a case for it as well as a 64GB or higher SD card. It’s better for the long run because downloading games in it is way more convinient

      • The only official splatoon Bundle was just the neon switch with the game, but it was cheaper than buying them on their own (+it has a cool box).

        I’m not going to take it anywhere shortly after getting it, so I’m not sure if I need the case… and I kinda like collecting game boxes, so maybe I’d get the SD card later. Thanks for the advise!

  82. Man, I’ve been playing Dragon Ball Fusions a lot recently. It’s a cool game. It’s not what I expected (fusing any 2 characters together, though, you can sort of do that with the MC), but I don’t care. It’s a good 3DS game

  83. I’m kinda late, but the eclipse was really cool. Even though it was only like 1 1/2 mins of complete eclipse, it was enough time for an owl to come out where I was, which was pretty neat. Shame GF didn’t announce something for the occasion, but I can definitely understand why they didn’t, with it being a fairly local event and all.

      • I was going to but I wasn’t able because my brother couldn’t transfer his Challenge mode Key due to him leaving his game at the 7th game. I found it out after I restarted my game so oh well. But it’s still pretty fun and a little bit challenging for me because I have to grind up 6 Pokémon early on.

  91. Well today didn’t go exactly as I wanted it to go. Was planning on waking up early and making the most out of being more or less alone today at home since it was my last day off before going back to work, but that’s not how it went….Was gonna get up early anyway, but right as I did get up I received a message from my brother who’s landlord apparently told him their bathroom floor was gonna get fixed despite my brother and his wife being out of town. so I said I’d go hangout in their apartment while the guy was there fixing the tile. Unfortunately they didn’t have the tile necessary to just replace it so not only did they need to rip up the part that needed to be fixed, but then they needed to place new flooring in. they didn’t even finish today and we were there for 6 and a half hours. If the guy had stayed an hour or so more he prolly would have finished. Now I’ve got to go back and unlock the apartment so they can get in again. Luckily one of our friends is gonna go over and stay there so I can leave and go to work. So much for having a relaxing day. On the bright side I finished the first volume of Pokemon Adventures!! My friends seem to think I should review it on my channel. I’ll have to think about that tho lol

  99. I hope many of you PokeJunglers were able to experience the solar eclipse today! It was sadly a cloudy day in the Bay Area, but that didn’t stop me from getting some decent photos. It also got COLD and super bright around the time of totality…really amazing. I’m currently biding my time until I inevitably go completely blind. Seriously though, I just watched a fearmongering video about the possibility of permanent eye damage. If that happens I’ll be a little bit upset.

    • Hey now gotta play what comes in the video close to the chest. Even when you don’t get anything super great that’s still fine. I’ve learned that as long as you try to continue to have a charismatic personality and optimistic view people will still be satisfied. What people watch pack opening videos for is the same reason people buy packs to begin with. It’s that adrenaline rush you get. So as a tiny bit of advice whether you get something or not never let on fully what kind of video it is. If it’s a video that has something good then sure you can hype it up, but never give your viewers a reason to not want to watch. Just some friendly advice from someone who’s been doing these kinds of videos for a little while. OH!!! By the way thanks for the sub the other day! I noticed after you checked it out, but forgot to say thanks haha
