New USUM Trailer Revealed [UPD]

As expected, a brand new trailer for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon was released!

The trailer highlights changes to the Alola region itself, as well as new looks for the protagonists. It also briefly shows a look at returning characters, such as the musician Ryuki.

The Japanese trailer also contains a look at the new Z-Power Ring and some new Z-Moves featured in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. Watch it below!

[UPD] In addition to the trailer, Clangorous Soulblaze, Kommo-o’s brand new, exclusive Z-Move has been revealed at the opening ceremony of Worlds 2017! This new Z-Move can hit multiple targets, raises all of Kommo-o’s stats by one level, and requires Clanging Scales as its base move. Broken much?

You can continue to watch the official Pokémon World Championships streams here!

  1. Ok two things! I was not expecting them to show anything until Worlds actually started so this makes me wonder what we get from that now. Second that part with Ryuki looks suspiciously like LT Surge’s gym HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  2. While I’m still not quite as hyped for this as I was for SM I will say seeing Alola and a little bit more of the in game stuff has gotten me a little more excited. OH I almost forgot!!!!! Anybody catch that Rockruff running behind the characters??????

      • Maybe they will. this seemed like a general trailer to show the whole region again. They could do a trailer where it explicitly shows it happening.

  3. So another trailer that’s incredibly vague and unhelpful.

I guess now we know it’s just a third version and not a sequel. But is there walking with Pokémon? Because you had that scene with the rockruff but then another scene without a Pokémon following you. Can you turn it off? Was that just a cute little environmental thing?

  4. So looking at USUM’s map, it’s possible that the two cloud clusters south east of Poni are obstructing new islands? It’d make sense of we get two new one, because Hawaii has eight islands yet one is private (could this be Aether Paradise’s basis?) and another has no permanent residents.

So excluding those two, that leaves Hawaii’s six largest islands, Hawai’i (Ula’ula), Maui (Akala), O’ahu (Melemele), and Kaua’i (Poni) and possibly two new ones based on Molokai (which would probably be named after that island’s colour, green, so it’d probably be called a variant of ‘Oma’oma’o) and Lanai (which is orange, or Alani). Although Lani may already be the basis of Exeggutor Island as Lani is’ the pineapple isle’

  5. I’d be willing to say we can still get something else in a couple of hours. I doubt they’ll just show this trailer at Worlds. Maybe we’ll finally get a new Alolan form?

  6. This is all from the site

“Ominous dark clouds are spreading in the sky above the Alola region, the setting of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. New buildings and landscapes appear that were not previously seen in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.”

“In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, a story unfolds on a grand scale, with the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma at its center. Secrets about Necrozma and the Alola region—undisclosed in the previous games—will come to light.”

“The look of the main characters’ outfits has changed from the first trip through the Alola region—just in time for them to begin a new adventure! Choose the Pokémon that will become your partner, and set out on a journey through the world of Alola!”

  7. I understand hype and need for good marketing.
Guys have a little more faith. GF are not a new company they’ve been playing this since years.

Also the less we know come November the better the experience, more surprises etc
Personally I’ve enjoyed SM as I didn’t know much about them!

  10. I hope the official artwork means that our characters will have a few more facial expressions in the new game. Looking forward to the game now.
