‘I Choose You’ To Receive Theatrical Run in US, Salazzle Event

Great news US Trainers, you’ll be able to watch the latest Pokémon film in theaters!

Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You has been confirmed by the International Pokémon Company to have a theatrical run on November 5th and 6th, 2017 across the US! The 20th Pokémon film retells the story of when Ash met Pikachu and their journey through Kanto, with new companions Verity and Sorrel, in an alternate storyline from the original anime.

No official list of participating theaters or mention of the attached Ash Hat Pikachu or Marshadow event has been revealed as of yet.

 

 

In unrelated news, Serial Code cards have begun to leak online, confirming a long rumoured distribution. This event will run at Gamestop from August 14th to September 4th and provides a lvl. 50 battle ready, Focus Sash holding Salazzle with the moves Fake Out, Toxic, Sludge Bomb, Flamethrower, and the ability Corrosion!

    I don’t know if I’ll go watch this in an actual theater, I’m at that age that I don’t want to watch kid movies in theaters unless I’m “just along for the ride” with family and friends
    And I already have a competitive Salazzle but always enjoys free focus sashes

  18. My real complaint is that Misty and Brock weren’t brought back for the Sun and Moon anime. I would have LOVED to see Ash, Misty, and Brock travelling around Alola. Misty and Brock would be basically on vacation and then Ash would be doing his typical thing lol Instead they decided to over load ash with a bunch of characters they essentially dumbed down and forced Ash to be tethered to a school……..Still really enjoying the season, but it would have been cool to see Ash on a regular adventure in Alola lol

        • as ive said so many times (not here specifically) the anime hasnt been good since Veronica taylor stopped voicing Ash. also i hated every single character that travelled with ash since may and maybe dawn, sinnoh was where i basically stopped

          • Imo Sinnoh had good battles and contests but is was kinda bland for me otherwise

          • The league was great tho……..Until the guy with the 2 legendary Pokemon showed up, but before that it was great lol

          • It certainly wasn’t the best. Would have been better if Ash lost to someone without a legendary Pokemon on his team. Especially after the other league battles were so intense. It felt like a huge middle finger to both Ash and the audience lol

          • I feel like you’re being a bit critical. She was a great voice for Ash, but it’s not like his current voice is all that bad. sometimes I think nostalgia gets in the way of people’s actual opinions lol

          • but it is my actual opinion. i dont think Sarah Natochemy is that good compared to Veronica Taylor and because Taylor kicked the character off, you can only compare Natochemy’s VAing of Ash to that of Taylor’s

    • I’m glad they’re trying something new tho tbh, but they should’ve made Kiawe, Lillie and Lana the companions and kick Mallow and Sophy to the curb because they do nothing anyway

    • Just like they could bring them back in any of past regions. Sun Moon series is already better than many of previous seasons. It’s better to be creative than to make clickbait with nostalgia.

      • True. I think most people’s problem with SM is that it deviates from the norm. I find it very entertaining. It’s just a different kind of story. That’s not bad tho lol

      • All you need to know:

        Kiawe – Cool guy who’s just generally okay, very serious about Z-Moves and tradition.

        Lillie – Has had actual character development, an interesting backstory we’ve yet to see, a cute fox, best girl.

        Lana – Second best girl, Popplio is adorable, earned herself a Z-Ring and Waterium unlike the two other trash trial captains and joined Z-club with Ash and Kiawe because she’s second best girl and she earned it damn it.

        Mallow – Started off promising, her fruit is literally a magic girl. Has decomposed into organic trash.

        Sophocles – Please remove.

          art style – unexciting and too cartooney
          anime in general – hasnt been good in a while
          overall – not good and way too focused on the younger audience so basically who cares for those who have watched pokemon for 19 years? how long has it been going on for?

          • I think you judge it without giving it a chance. It feels like you never wanted to like it.

          • The thing is the one Stoutland death episode is the most serious thing in the series, most of the time it has been slapstick and silly plots. Characters also go off model a lot.

          • i didnt watch but i read a lot about it. it doesnt interest me, and meowth dying by mimikkyu was an attempt to be dark, modern, and funny. for me it failed. not exciting at all

  20. anyone remember when they had new regions in the anime, sometime during the season they would have little like special episodes with characters from past regions. like brock and his family, misty going back to the gym, gary as a doctor (iirc)

      • exactly!! Dawn and May back when May arrives for Wallace Cup i think it was? Misty in one of the best episodes of all time, the togepi mirage, that will forever upset me that they got rid of my favorite pokemon togepi

        • Right! It was always funny when the old girls would come back and make fun of Ash right to his face hahaha I wish they’d do that with Brock and Cilan too……..I hated Iris in the BW anime, but Cilan was pretty great lol

          • Ugh i cant tell you which was worse. the “What a Kid” every 2 minutes or the “connoisseur time! the way this pokemon attacks is like the sweetness of a leppa berry” or something. booooooring. and very annoying

          • Iris is worst……..That’s your answer lol At least Cilan had a real gimmick that made sense. Iris was just constantly being a bitch for no reason……..

          • Like it’s not even something they got from the game or anything either!! They just shoehorned in this dumb persona for her and thought “This is what the kids want right?”

    • Wait actually no Butter is right, Cilan appeared again in an XY special so these never really died but they’ve definitely become less frequent.

    If you had a pokemon league, what 8 gym leaders would you have. No two of the same types. You can include type leaders like in Sun and Moon (Trials/Guzma/Sina etc.)

          • They’re forest spirits and they have an affinity for leafs
            And I already have two normal/ghost types

          • Where are you seeing a strong connections with leaves? If anything they’re more connected to shape-shifting (Normal), possession (Ghost), gold nuggets (Steel), harmless tricks and pranks (Fairy or Dark), and they just use the leaves to help them transform. To me that sounds more like Delphox using its wand than justifying a Grass-typing, Conkeldurr using its pillars, or Pangoro chewing it’s own leaves. It’s a more of a prop than a part.

            It’s also not a ‘forest spirit’ as in part of the forest incarnate, it’s a spirit that lives in the forest. That’s like making say Ninetales Grass because kitsunes lived in forests.

  37. Ngl, Aether Foundation in my current playthrough remindsme that I need to check every PC and obvious book/file, Aether has so much backstory that I appreciate not being thrown in my face tbh that you find from reading books and files there as well as speaking to NPCs

      • Seeing as the Aether Foundation works in various regions and doesn’t appear to be from around there (Hau asking why they’d set up around Alola, the whole Aether family just looks non native, why would it need a branch chief if it was only in one region?) I hope they show up more.

          • Tbh I do think it should be involved in the story more and it would’ve been cool if we saw Gladion’s evolve, but due to its nature as a trainer Pokemon and two trapped specimens I felt it’s role was fine enough.
