New Trailers Released for Pokkén Tournament DX

Two new Japanese trailers for Pokkén Tournament DX has been released and showcases more footage of the game which will be released September 22nd for the Nintendo Switch. In addition to the characters from the Wii U version, DX also includes brand new characters such as Decidueye from last year’s Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.

The game also features new support Pokémon and new battle modes!

Are you planning on picking up DX and did you buy the original Pokkén Tournament? Personally I’m looking forward to purchasing it when it launches!

Prime 4 will have a strong underwater theme and will be released alongside the Switch Aqua that is water-proof

  2. We really need like an Apricorn Ball Shop, or special thing in Pelago for them. We can grow them on berry trees and then maybe there is a Pokeball forge island that a new character or even Mohn or Kurts’ Grandaughter works on.

  3. You know the leer animation? The one when there’s a little flash on mon’s eye? Well when Sawk uses it in Black the flash is directly on his crotch

  4. Just clocked the time between reveal & next main info dump of previous Pokémon games:
    BW: 3 months
    B2W2: 1.5 months
    XY: 4 months
    ORAS: 1.5 months
    SM: 2.5 months

    • I was just doing some of the math myself. They didn’t even reveal the covers for B2W2 until 101 days before release. 18 days after annonuncement. USUM was announced ~160 days before its release and we are right now in ~120s. This is my opinion, but I played both BW and B2W2 an I’d say my experience playing both was fun. So I am not stressing that much over the fact that we haven’t had any info thrown at us.

    • I always forget that BW2 had a really small time line between the first info release and it’s release. that said it was in the time when releases were staggered for international audiences and that in it’s own way can justify the short timing. Even if it released in June in Japan coverage was still going on elsewhere. Anyway I’m hoping we at least get an announcement of an announcement this month. I’m sure we’ll get more next month tho…..

      Least: Drasna/Druddigon

General Thoughts: their rise in Gen 5 is part of the reason why I liked the inclusion of fairy types. To take them down a few pegs.

    • Favourites:

Zekrom, cool and sleek design, wonderful typing and signature move and a nice legendary in general

      Iris, fun and interesting character

      Least:

      Dragonite, meh

Lance, boring character, overrated and nothing special, also his team sucks

The type is boring to me tbh, few mons are interesting and they’re just the same over and over again for the most part, but since gen 5 they’ve become more interesting to me

    • FP: Druddigon- I love the crimson head and the blue body. This pokemon just screams cool awesome! and I know a lot of pokemon hate this pokemon, but I dont see how! The spikes man! This pokemon is just so awesome. Though it may not be the best in battle, it can still do some work!
Fave Leader: Clair. Just like her strong personality! She has so much confidence and such a big ego. I can see why! Her pokemon are really good!

LP: Vibrava. This pokemon embodies disappointment. It cant do anything good. And its evolution mega is scrapped. Its first stage has higher base attack! Vibrava is disappointing.
LL: Drasna! Shes just a sweet old lady… Thats it. Her pokemon arent good… Shes not good.

Thoughts? Who doesnt like Dragon types? (Earthen? Yea probably not) They are easily one of if not my favorite. I had a hard time looking for LEAST favorite. Dragon types were so strong they needed a nerf! They have such cool designs and they seriously are have the best pokemon.

    • Favorite: Iris/ and i am having a gigantic moral crisis between Kommo-o and Garchomp both representing dragons with each of my signature types….to chose between a savage land shark that can tear a foe to pieces and shred through land like nothing or a a dragon paladin bent on training harder and harder never giving up…….but its no surprise i always loved Iris, she just shows a love, dedication and passion for Dragons which i highly respect also she gots spunk

Least favorite: Altaria and Drasna: hate the floof bird and Drasna much like the other Kalos elite four barely got any screen time to develop a characteristic

as for Dagons; i could take em or leave em, they are annoying to fight monotype because everyone loads up of legends and pseudo legends (i know its hard not to but still not a easy task to fight)

      Least: Iris; Druddigon

I like Dragon overall. I don’t like that the shtick is that they have to be super tough and ultra powerful.

^ omg i see it now but it’s a coincidence

      Least favorite: Ryuki – Guzzlord

One of my favorite types! So powerful and menacing.

Favorite: Iris (hated her in the show, but she was pretty cool in game/Flygon
      Least favorite:Clair/Regular Rayquaza

    • Favorites: Drake / Altaria

General thoughts: They’re mythical Pokémon. They’re hard to catch and raise, but their powers are superior. They’re virtually indestructable.

I don’t like any of them. I guess *GAME* Iris if I had to choose. Her champ theme is unbearable, but her team is actually cool and original unlike overrated Lance with 3 Dragonites.

Call me basic, but Garchomp is my favorite dragon.

-Least: Clair. I just…idk. She’s a selfish brat. Yeah, she does change, but I can’t believe she wouldn’t give us the damn badge until we proved ourselves at the dragon’s den and then she still threw a tantrum. What a bitch.
My least favorite dragon pokemon is Kommo-o, followed by Turtonator and Drampa.

      -General thoughts:
It’s just overrated…I’m glad they introduced fairy as a counter even if I don’t really like it too much. I can largely avoid this type, especially since most are legends.

    • Favourite Pokemon: Zekrom, the design is just so good. The typing and the way it fits in with the design too. It’s the only legend I might shiny hunt in Omega soon. http://static.tumblr.com/qekp4xl/0ROlnke5t/tumblr_lfwsiljmh81qbj1hto1_500_1_.gif
Favourite Leader: Lance, dude has a cape and just is a cool guy. He can also be pretty hard to beat if you’re unprepared. https://images.discordapp.net/attachments/298861432672354305/333836364191891456/IGaKgVm.gif
It was actually tough to choose between him and Clair though, so I pick her too, she is beautiful and strong, my Johto Waifu. She’s also a pretty tough battle, can’t just rely on Ice with her Kingdra. https://68.media.tumblr.com/34f327681e49f486b131cc171797b360/tumblr_n36dmy3YyZ1rsrk2xo1_500.gif

Least Favourite Pokemon: Palkia. I just prefer others.
Least Favourite Leader: Drasna, she looks nice but that’s about all I can glean of her character, so she’s kinda dull.

Personally I love Dragon types, it’s in my top 5, but then I have always loved Dragons since before Pokemon so maybe that’s part of it. Other favourites of this type: Dratini line; Kingdra; Flygon; Altaria (+Mega); Bagon line (+Mega); the Lati@s duo (+Mega); Rayquaza (+Mega); Gible line; Dialga; Giratina (both formes); Axew line; Deino line; Druddigon (grew to like after using it to catch Groudon); Reshiram; Dragalge; Tyrunt line; Goomy line; Noibat line; Zygarde (+formes); Jangmo-O line.
I do think they are perhaps treated with a bit more disdain than they deserve at times. Also well done to GF for balancing it with a type that is more OP than it.
I also like Dragon Moves, they often look really cool.

    • Favorite: Flygon as much I like this typing and have a few other favorite Dragons, Flygon will always have a special place to me since it was the very first Dragon type Pokemon I’ve ever used. And ever since I would always have it apart of my team in a playthrough if you could catch a Trapinch in game. Seriously I have at least 6 in bank from using it so much xD
Leader: Hm there’s not a gym leader I really favor .-. maybe Drayden. Wait Drake! my favorites seem to lean towards Hoenn
      Least Favorite:…Guzzlord?
      Leader: Probably Clair
Over all thoughts, I love Dragon types. It zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz is an amazing typing and on my top 3 favorites. It was hard to even think of a least favorite for both the Pokemon and leader actually. Especially the Pokemon, there’s not one I dislike tbh

Also sorry for the Z’s I decided to keep it, because I’m still in denial that XY didn’t have a sequel
Jk a kitten I’m taking care of sat on the keyboard XD

  6. I’ll be extremely disappointed if they don’t have a shred of USUM information in this Corocoro. I’m sure they’ll pull a “huge scoop for next month” type of deal, but seriously, this is not how I would have liked them to handle this hype season.

    • Plot twist: they have fucking nothing on USUM to show because they shifted development of the games not so long ago, with the Switch game supposed to take place this year but Nintendo made them delay it due to Switch supply issues and potential for bigger sales next year. They now had little than a year to rehash SM assets in creating a new game.

          • I’ve played all zelda games excluding Breath of the Wild and i personally think it’s terrible.

I exaggerated bit in my first comment though, it’s also better than phantom hourglass,Zelda II and Tri force heroes :/

          • There really isn’t a particular reason. I didn’t play the original and I loved oot 3d, and every where I went on the internet everyone was going crazy about mm3d. But when I played it, it just seemed boring. The dungoens where few and the few ones were bad,the plot seemed like it was thrown together without any real thought,i heard the sidequests were the best part but there were only one 2 ones. It wasn’t as dark as people made it out to be and the theories about the games plot was just overthinking.

          • I think I’d have to agree. It’s naturally a very divise game, but I feel it doesn’t live up to the rest of the Zelda. I don’t like ingame timers and for me Zelda is all about peaceful exploring and puzzle solving at your own pace, where MM leaves a bit of a sour taste everytime.

Also, it is also a very confusing game, with you having a hard time knowing where you need to go. Compare that to BotW, which has little handholding, but makes exploration and finding your own path become a satisfying experience rather than a chore.
