New Trailers Released for Pokkén Tournament DX

Two new Japanese trailers for Pokkén Tournament DX has been released and showcases more footage of the game which will be released September 22nd for the Nintendo Switch. In addition to the characters from the Wii U version, DX also includes brand new characters such as Decidueye from last year’s Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.

The game also features new support Pokémon and new battle modes!

Are you planning on picking up DX and did you buy the original Pokkén Tournament? Personally I’m looking forward to purchasing it when it launches!

  3. I want to bring attention to a Dutch phenomenon in what I call: ‘schrale’ music. Basically, it’s German schlager type or heavy electronic basses with ridiculously outrageous lyrics and I wonder if native English speakers have ever heard such music and if they know some similar English bands that fit this naritive.   4. I see that Overwatch is scheduled for a deep discount for Prime Day. I’ve been waiting for the game to get cheaper so this might finally be my chance to see what this game is all about. I can’t go a single day on the internet without seeing it referenced…

    • Depends on if they think the audience will be high enough for it to be profitable in cinemas. I saw the first Pokemon movie at the cinema, for some reason they didn’t release the others after that, which is weird ’cause I think it made loads of moneys. Japan is different, Pokemon has remained huge there.

        • “In the United States, only the first five movies, those associated with the original series, were released in theatres” wikipedia. My assumption would be that after that they had fizzled out of significant theatrical release profit in the US. We only got the First movie here afaik but that may have also had limited distribution of the second and 3rd. 4 was definitely straight to DVD here.

          • Yeah and speaking of movies, one thing I’m very surprised at though is in America they showed Yo-kai Watch the movie in 70ish theaters across the country for one day. Really shocks me they still put it on the big screen even though the game sold poorly in comparison of bigger titles (yet still no sign almost a year later of becoming a DVD :/)

          • I don’t know the reasons there. The DVD thing may be a US distributor issue or it may just not have enough funding behind it.

    • I don’t know the process of getting a movie to theatrical release but MonkeyFuzz is probably right. Pokemon films aren’t as big of a deal as they were in 1997

  12. Is anyone questioning the fact that Good Ol’ Serebii Joe has “seen” the cover for CoroCoro hours and hours ago, yet it’s nowhere on the internet (as far as I know)?

      • He’s not always honest though, like when Black leaked his coverage was based on the ROM version. He did buy the game online though, but it only arrived three days later and he tried to argue that was his only copy. Even though it was obvious it was the ROM since he encountered the anti-piracy measures.

        • True, but that said I don’t see much reason for him to lie in this case.its Suh a small thing to lie about and I doubt he’d keep the true contents of CoroCoro secret. Unless he has a very special reason to anyway……..

          • Nah, I don’t think he’s done anything illegal in this case. I was just commenting on the fact that ‘he never lies’, he’s not as honest as he seems.

    These games are not the start of a new generation and are also on the 3DS. They had a terrible reveal and they have basically gone silent. It’s kinda ridiculous

    • Well think of it this way. It’s still Alola. Its not like they have a lot to reveal. If anything it means that we will get less reveals because all that will happen is new characters and fixes from SM. and new areas.

    • I agree that haven’t been doing too good of a job with explaining what USUM truly is. I am hoping that they will do a new trailer sometime this month or next. I think they need to start advertising for it soonish. It comes out in November so I think that they need to start doing trailers sometime this month or next if they are planning on recovering some good faith, since a lot of my friends that preorder USUM have canceled their preorders. I usually wait for the first good trailer and then I go and preorder whichever copy of the game I want. I think most of the staff are working on whichever main series game that is coming out for the switch. I think that is the main focus, but still think they need to be advertising and promoting USUM. I figure they could potentially give the tapu’s alternative forms like they did with the therian forms for the genie trio.

    • Its only been a month. BW2 got announced in Feb 2012 and we didn’t get new info until April 2012, despite the games being released June 2012. This is not anything new.

    • In BW its no suprise very few Pokemon by that gym have an advantage over Emolga only being Dwebble and Roggenrola (and the fossil, but they both have a weakness to Volt Switch and are very inaccessible) and both of these two are low encounters in off-road areas with only a handful of useful moves each and both aren’t immune or resistant to Volt Switch making them a very unreliable use unless you can utilize some of their quality points
