Ready for a new challenge to take on in Pokémon Sun & Moon? The Weakness Cup has been announced and requires players to create a team of Pokémon that have 5 or more weaknesses! Some of those Pokémon considered too frail for normal usage may just get their time to shine. That’s not all though–players will also earn Ampharosite, Altarianite, Latiosite, and Latiasite Mega Stones if they participate in 3 or more battles! That means Mega Ampharos, Mega Altaria, Mega Latios and Mega Latias can be yours to use in Sun & Moon! The official site shares more details about the competition:
Registration for the Weakness Cup begins Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 00:00 UTC. The competition goes from Friday, July 28, at 00:00 UTC, until Sunday, July 30, at 23:59 UTC. Trainers will be limited to 15 battles per day.
It is also worth noting that according to Serebii.Net the battles will actually be double battles, not single battles.
Be sure to hit up the link for all the rules! May the WEAKEST Pokémon… WIN!

Love these ads.
So question to People actively watching the most recent Japanese dubbed eps of the show: Did Ash take the water trial? If it ended the way people say it did. It almost sounds like he basically didn’t. Any clarification? lol
From what I heard, Lana beat the Totem while Ash fought the Ally.
Does that count? I feel like after the first trial they’re now kind of glossing over the others…..
Idk

We’re only a few hours away from the premiere of Pokemon Movie 20. Reports should come rushing in about the contents of that end teaser, which should be interesting. In other news, the Direct is in less than 15 minutes!
Remember when Trevenant was revealed at a movie? And also Zygarde core? We might get something not even in the movie itself.
and only 11 minutes from Splatoon 2 Direct
Hey, Ash actually looks kinda normal here.

Hopefully this direct will reignite my fire….
What direct?
Splatoon 2

Oh, so that’s how that happened.
He must look like a punk by the way.

That was one of the worst directs I’ve ever seen.
– Only like 3 minutes of it was new stuff. The rest was the announcer explaining basic splatoon mechanics
– The cool new stuff isn’t even coming at launch
– The squid sisters’ replacements are terrible, as is their catchphrase (“stay off the hook, don’t get cooked” replaces “stay fresh”). I’m not even a huge fan of the SS, but the new ones are way worse.
– They replaced cookie cutter characters with new cookie cutter characters (I don’t mean the SS here)
– We can now quickly scroll past SHELDON’S TEXT but not the intro?
Maybe I’m being too critical here, so I’ll at least list the things I thought were cool:
– the new bubbler
– the umbrella weapon
– splatfest demo!!

Overall though, this direct made me less hyped for the game. When it was announced, I had faith that they could make the game worthy of the “2” in the title, but throughout this direct it became apparent that it was the same gameplay with some tweaks. I know “if it isn’t broken don’t fix it,” but the core of Splatoon lies in the online modes, which are exactly the same as Splatoon 1.
I don’t mind the catchphrase, but “Stay fresh” is still better (Plus, Marie will always be my waifu).
I think the catchphrase is really cringy. I mean, so is “Stay Fresh,” but it’s iconic for the series at the point. Plus it’s snappy and short, so that’s a plus.
THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST DIRECTS IVE EVER SEEN
MARINA IS SO CUTE LIKE DID YOU SEE HER OMG
