New Mobile Game ‘PokéLand’ Announced

PokéLand, a new mobile game for smartphones and tablets, has been announced. The title is now in alpha testing in Japan for Android devices. The game seems to be a follow-up to the Pokémon Rumble series and features stylized Pokémon fighting in real-time. The current version features over 130 monsters to collect.

Although the game is only being tested on the Android platform an iOS release has been confirmed for launch.

Excited?? How do you feel about more mobile Pokémon games?

  1. So I’m not ready to post my E3 Countdown Question for today, so I’ll give a warm up question first.

Have any of you ever used all available Pokémon in a type? I’m only two monotypes away from using every permanent/semi-permanent regular (non legend or UB) Poison type (so they don’t have to hold an item to become Poison and can maintain it outside of battle) and only one away from doing the same for the Fairy-Type! So hyped!

    • Whoops, actually forgot I’ll need to use Venomoth in a run too before I can claim that! 😮

        • If you can even call it a Ground Type
          purely the worst

that’s why they need to make a REAL Bug/Ground type
          Dynoceros
a real rhino with beetle shells and horn

          • It just needs a good physical Bug move and a physical boosting move to make it usable in game at least, the other two Worma forms aren’t exactly amazing competitively but usable in game because they actually have decent moves

          • No it isn’t lol? Literally every Pokémon is usable in game, it’s just some are more frustrating than others

          • who would bother with that thing honestly
In game nothing, all the matters when its against other competent people
dumb AI could lose to a Magikarp Sweep if properly executed

          • Because the in-game is what most people actually buy the game for, and is what GameFreak prioritises. That’s why the metagame is balanced as it is despite their being over 700 Pokémon: they’re balanced for a story progression, not a more level meta.

          • please its unbalanced as fuck do you think a Womadam will survive anything in OU or even UU?

          • That’s what I’m saying Earthen, Pokémon is balanced for its in game, which has progression, not for its metagame which has tiers and that.

I understand you’re dyslexic but the fact that you replied with saying ‘Wormadam isn’t meta’ when I just said it isn’t proves you didn’t even attempt to read what was said

  2. uhggggggggg fuck this stupid tiny desk. It’s no wonder I cant do digital art, I have no room at all to move my hand so I have to draw from my wrist then my wrist hurts and my drawing looks bad and im bad and i should feel bad aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaefuehfuehgwseg

    • I think that guys argument about pokemon never been announced at e3 so why would it now is completely dumb

      Reply
      • Yeah, it’s probably going to be announced there, even with past trends. I think the reason they’re breaking the pattern is because it’s a Switch port with enormous potential which would look great for their E3 lineup. In the past, it’s just been 3DS games which are typically less important at E3 anyway.

        Reply
        • Tbh even if it isn’t a switch port i think it’s because it’s a mid gen game which they can announce later than usual, so why not just reveal it at E3 for hype?

          Reply
          • This is the “Nintendo Spotlight” with a focus on 2017 games. Splatoon 2, Xenoblade 2 and Super Mario Odyssey are all they really have at this point. They’re bound to reveal some remaining 2017 games as well as 2018 games. Pokémon must be one of them.

          • Oh no I’m meaning Pokémon is coming this year, just that since it’s a mid gen game they can announce it closer to its release date than a game like XY or ORAS because there’s usually less new content to hype up

          • Also, I just realized after I posted that, look at the model they’ve been using for Switch game reveals. Their big event in January revealed first-party games releasing on April 28, June 16 and July 21 (along with some later ones). They’re probably going to use the same model at E3 and reveal games releasing only months ahead of time. If they revealed Pokémon in February and said it would release in November, it wouldn’t fit that model.

          • I’m so hungry for a new Pokémon game I’d take it for whatever console whenever tbh, I’d even take it for a Christmas 2018 release on the GameCube

          • If it truly was a Kanto and Alola combo, I could wait until 2025. Alola with an actual Johto-like post game would be legendary. Sun and Moon have so much potential for an improved version, much more than X and Y.

          • I think SuMo has more potential than XY for follow ups tbh, mostly surrounding why Zygarde is there (which would also help wrap up XY) and Necrozma as a whole

    • 1) Fairy
      2) Poison
      3) Grass
      4) Fire
      5) Electric
      6) Ghost
      7) Ice
      8) Bug
      9) Psychic

BTW guys it doesn’t have to be in order! Just any nine you like 😀

        • Steel has been getting less and less use lately
I mean outside Excadrill and Aggron and Steelix that’s really it
i mean i guess the shitty Alolan Dugtrio and Snowslash i sorta like but i don’t

          Reply
          • Also it just got Aegislash Solgaleo and Magearna in the last four years wtf Steel is awesome

          • I’d never use legends or the Diancie rip-off and Aegislash is too popular for my tastes

          • Doesn’t change the fact they’re awesome additions to Steel

Also lol Diancie rip off I think you mean Diancie upgrade

          • They’re similar, but have differences.

Hence why I said upgrade, Earthworm. I like Magearna better but acknowledge it resembles Diancie.

          • Sandslash is one of my all time favorites but its stupid Alolan Form is wrong and a traitor

          • Just because if isn’t Ground anymore? Ground doesn’t fit the design they made and it’s a nice change, and it’s not like it’s replaced Kantoslash

          • I think sometimes the Alolan will show up sometimes the Kantonian will show up

For example Gen 8s region has Kanto Vulpix but Alolan Geodude, but Gen 9s region has Alolan Vulpix and Kanto Geodude

          • Sounds like people who said Megas would stay in Kalos

            And then Gen 6

And oh look they’re in Gen 7 Alola

          • it could’ve easily been Ground/Ice and you know it
also i am not fond of them making Sandshrew Steel right off the bat

i could let it slide if A. Sandshrew evolved into a Steel type but it irks me that it happened

          • Um what? That design doesn’t convey Ground at all

Also, Steel shell. The Dex even says it. It makes sense because that shell then becomes the steel spikes on Slash

          • i get that but on the pokemon page it said its as hard as steel not steel itself
i just think it should’ve been pure ice then evolved into Ice/Steel

          • “It lives on snowy mountains. Its steel shell is very hard—so much so, it can’t roll its body up into a ball.”

          • Sun – It lives on snowy mountains. Its steel shell is very hard—so much so, it can’t roll its body up into a ball.

          • i fucking know what irks me is how it freaking became steel in the first place, the matter of the composition change/addition is what i’m pissed about
like was it from alolan desert minerals freezing or melding onto its body when it changed or just that Sandshrew’s skin freezes so hard it gains metallic properties

are you getting any of this

          • its fucking environmental adaptation there HAS to be logic
its like you took a house cat and left in the snow so in order to survive it learned how to breathe fire to compensate

          • Fam it’s a game just for fun where you can catch God and make him your slave

Logic was fucked from the get go

          • no there wasn’t. never knew a mouse with electric cheeks was logic

          • I could bring up camerupt again
Or should I strike at a mon more closer to heart

          • IT HAS LAVA IN ITS FUCKING BACK

How bout good ol’ Rhyperior, remember in biology class when they talked about how Rhinos stand and have rock-et launchers in their hands?

          • SO WE NEED A ALOLAN FORM ASAP
            ALOLAN CAMRUPT
            WATER
IT NOW HAS A GEYSERS ON ITS BACK GG

          • Well Rhyperior was discovered by Giovanni
maybe due to the absence of the minerals needed to create protectors or even that Rhydon can use them/have a connection to achieve a new evolution, Rhydon would’ve always stayed that way

          • well how is it any different
did people of the world know Protectors existed or even what they are? or that Rhydon could evolve even more?
what if that through some freak discovery that a Rhydon found a protector and ultimately found itself being traded while holding said protector the bizarre phenomenon that is trading evolution the protector bonded with Rhydon and evolved into the new formed deemed Rhyperior?

          • Simple

Someone else discovered it, and it may or may not of been Giovanni. It’s not confirmed in the games at all.

For all we know Rhyperior may naturally occur in the wild and the trade + protector just accelerates it, it could be a sudden mutation, etc. It’s all guesswork, and the manga, anise and games are all separate universes unified by a basis but separated in semantics

          • I don’t think so
if it was level up with said item but this is a trade based evo
they need that item and the link trade’s energy to act as the catalyst of the evolution
Scizor and Steelix need the metal coat to envelop them

          • well its a reason why it is the way it is
many believed that camels stored water in their humps but its just a giant hunk of fat

but with that belief they switched water with fire and since camels are used in the desert make it part ground
so humps filled with fire and magma

          • what about grumpig
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast. ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them. under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

          • No there wasn’t

            Why can Pikachu shoot lightning?

Why did no one breed Pokémon?

Why did no one see baby Pikachu?

Why is there no mention of other regions?

Why didn’t they program Mewtwo with some sort of control?

          • (again always and i mean ALWAYS use Pikachu for this argument even though it was specifically stated to revolve around electricity and the color yellow)

          • If a fucking colour can justify a Pokémon’s type then you can literally just use that argument for anything genius XD

          • Lol

            1) Don’t call me a twat you probably can’t even pronounce it right

            2) I’m saying that if colour can justify a Pokémon design, it can literally justify any Pokémon design. After all, it means it’s logic GameFreak uses

          • i will an can pronounce it fine
and again you completely ignored the original statement and when to continue busting your nut over something like this with your obsession to prove me wrong

“Its color was also a deciding factor, as yellow is a primary color and easier for children to recognize from a distance, and with consideration to the fact the only other competing yellow mascot at the time was Winnie-the-Pooh.[11] Though Tajiri acknowledged that the character was relatively popular with both boys and girls, the idea of Pikachu as the mascot was not his own, and stated he felt the human aspect of the series was overlooked by Japanese children who embraced Pikachu by itself more readily.”

and color is always the case i mean Luxray is Blue and Black and its Electric

          • Lol no Yankee your pronunciation is probs wrong

And all I’m saying is that colour is a cheap justification. Not saying it is always an influence, and not saying that it’s the biggest influence. Just that if colour can help decide a type, then you’d be bitching about mistyped Pokémon less.

          • like it freaking matters how a freaking read word is interpreted by another
its all your issue not mine

and i’m not trying to use color as a justification
if you read the article you would’ve known the story of how and why Pikachu is electric

          • Well if it was already eating minerals to become ground it simply ate minerals that made it steel

            Simple asf

          • 1) Where was that confirmed
            2) They obviously changed diets then since there’s no insects on or near Mt. Lanakila we know of besides Charjabug which may have more iron in its diet than the old insects therefore it became steel or some shit

          • well i’m just going by Pangolin and Armadillo diets
maybe Sandshrew can eat small rodents and mammals but they never ate minerals

          • You don’t know that, it’s never been stated what they ate

Your headcanon =/= fact, real Pangolins can’t cause earthquakes

To ensure it can do so, it becomes a lot stronger, a lot faster, and its cape becomes even more resistant to attacks. It ensnares foes with vortexes of water and electrifies them in order to quickly dispatch foes.
    Creates The Tempest Condition
Tempest: Drizzle and Thunderstorm weather conditions at the same time
Thunderstorm: Every three turns, non electric and ground types are struck with lightning bolts that damage based on weaknesses. Additionally, electric attacks do slightly more damage

and a long thin tail with a lightning bolt tip

          • THEN SAY IT
i feel like i’m the only guy who actually describes his Pokemon in great detail
you guys just crap out a name and dex backstory, sometimes stats and attacks but never a description

          • You realize not all these are entirely complete, right? Some of us actually have things to do in our lives other than sit around at a computer and angerly attack people as we rot our lives away

          • then be more freaking creative, it takes me less then two minutes to come up with pokemon designs and have a idea of what it looks like

don’t blame it on personal lives

          • I am creative, I have a design planned out but for all I know it can change drastically, some of us actually have the ability to fucking adapt to change instead of sitting there and trying to justify every little thing rather than seeing from a new view

          • It’s better to have an easily adjusted template than a rigid design you may scrap anyway

    • And to those who are wondering, yes, this boi imo is my favorite of my starters… by far

It was able to seal the barrier shut and adapted to protect it. Since then, every 1000 years new a Golurk is required to take up the job as the Scale Guardian. In this form, its power is increased astronomically and it is said to be the strongest of the Scale Guardians.

  9. Here’s the weirdest Farfetch’d fan evo you’ll ever see.

Farfetch’d evolves after leveling up with only 1 HP into:

    Pl’sma
    Normal/Flying
    The Laser Duck Pokemon
When Farfetch’d are starving, they eat their leeks. A chemical reaction between Farfetch’d stomach acids and the leek create energy that causes the pokemon to evolve and gives it the power to create a Plasma-like staff.

    Evolves at lv 40 into:

    Quas’r
    Psychic/Flying
    The Cosmos Pokemon
Pl’sma’s power consumes it when it reaches a certain level of strenght. Qus’r are possesed by the spirits of galaxies. Their staffs can slice through planets. They are as powerful as the entire Galaxy they are.

  10. A scale Guardian basically is a super strong legendary that helps keep the boundary of real and unreal from ripping open and colliding considering the chaos that would ensure. It requires nine different Pokemon to hold the Boundary shut. One of them (Palodossus) Is considered the protector. If something is to break through the boundary or attempt to break in, Palodossus will attempt to stop them
Another of the Scale Guardians has the ability to actually travel into the Boundary

Basically they all have some sort of ability regarding the boundary

  11. I just had a pretty neat story idea for the Diamond and Pearl remakes. So you know how Mt. Coronet serves as a kind of boundary between the two sides of Sinnoh? It could take place 100 years in the future or something where the West side is old-fashioned and traditional, while the East side is dominated by a ruler with advanced technology and things like that. Space and time could also play a role so Mt. Coronet is like a transdimensional gate. You could have wild Pokémon outfitted with mechanical equipment which evolve through a method entirely separate from leveling up (like adding gears or something) on the East side. I’m totally spitballing now but I think this would be a neat concept.

  12. Tbh I always thought the fact we got Day/Night themes back (they’re more drastic in difference than Sinnoh’s but are restricted to settlements) was enough to convince people were getting Sinnoh ?

Also calling it now the third unaccounted for Type: Null is going to show up at some point, I’d die if it’s on Cyrus’ party tbh
