Tiny Tourney Announced & New Global Mission

A brand-new competition will be starting soon, but these battles won’t be for the big guys; only Pokémon 3’03” (1 meter) or shorter will be able to compete. This won’t necessarily be just cute ‘n cuddly monsters though, Kartana (one of Sun & Moon’s Ultra Beasts) will be able to enter and will definitely pack a punch.

The entire National Pokédex is available for you to build your team from, as long as the Pokémon is under the maximum height requirement. Plus, Mythical Pokémon and some Legendary Pokémon will not be permitted. You can use the Poké Transporter to bring in Pokémon from earlier games. Pokémon can hold items, including Z-Crystals, but Mega Stones will not be allowed. Check the regulations for a complete list of Pokémon and items that are not permitted in the tiny tourney.

Registration for the tiny tourney begins Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 00:00 UTC. The competition goes from Friday, June 23, at 00:00 UTC, until Sunday, June 25, 2017, at 23:59 UTC. Trainers will be limited to 15 battles per day.

Players who enter the tournament will be rewarded with three Mega Stones as well: Galladite, Gardevoirite, and Lopunnite.

There’s also a new Global Mission as well!

Get hooked on fishing in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon with a new global mission at the PGL! In the “Fish Pokémon at Rare Spots!” global mission, participants have a goal to collectively catch 250,000 Pokémon/items at bubbling fishing spots between May 30 at 00:00 UTC and June 12 at 23:59 UTC. Everyone who casts their line for this global mission will earn Festival Coins, and Pokémon Global Link members can earn even more rewards!

            you guys should say Smash Five so you know there’s gonna be new stuff
            because Smash 5 means new everything and not just an updated Smash 4 for a different console
            because i can very easily see this Smash for Switch just a port and they’re not gonna add new features or any new characters or stages, just polish whatever’s already there and end it right there

            because at this point we have no idea if they’re gonna add what really matters, new characters and stages and that’s what truly matters and unless this so called port doesn’t deliver that its hardly worth investing time or money in

        Lots of attack HP and Spa, but I used it to speed playthrough Game, so its probably all over the place.

        There have been a lot of double teamers lately and for some reason my team just quits trying after one double team. Also they all love being frozen for the whole match. Its how I lost some Pike matches (seriously hate that dusclops). Lastly, grass types hurt pretty bad because the only SE move i have on swampert. Overall, I’m not doing too bad I didn’t think I’d get this far. This team def is great and if you plan on conquering frontier with a team use this!

  42. Honestly, wtf, Steven Universe. At the end of “Lar’s Head” when the gang comes back through the portal to find Steven in the house, everyone is there except Peridot and Lapis. They went and got Greg, but not two gems that might actually help them? Fuck this.

    • Or, you know I’m fairly certain they name dropped that they had a drop ship now which is probably what the two of them are working on. Peri’s useless in combat, and Lapis is only effective around water. Their not really all that useful in most situations.

        • Its fine, but again, she’s not really made for fighting. She’s an engineer. A scientist. An Egghead. She lacks the ability to shape shift. She probably can’t form a proper weapon, and the most she can do is make metal float, which is fairly limited. Certainly they could train her to fight, but Peri knows she’s better as the support then one of the team fighters. She’s probably the one who will build them a space ship out of junk and act as their pilot, but leave the combat to the other gems.

          As for Lapis; that’s a whole different story. Lapis at this point is pretty clearly meant to be a depressed character. Depression is rough and sometimes you don’t get over it. You learn to live with it and make the most out of it. Heck in a way its kinda great that the reaction people have towards her is probably what the writers want since that’s the general response that people with Depression tend to receive from those who don’t, and when eventually she just outright says it it’ll probably be a great moment for her character.

          • I want her to say it already…. there are just a few too many moments when things they did with Lapis just felt wrong

          • I feel like you can be depressed though and still be allowed to contribute. My problem isn’t that she chooses not to help them, but that they don’t ask her at all. And Peridot isn’t much of a fighter, but she’s thrown down before when she had her mech suit. Maybe give her some new tech..

          • I see what your saying, but again Lapis isn’t really well suited for combat. Again she’ really only effective around water, which pretty much makes her useless in most fights, and even then it could be that the writers feel like making her fight could give her PTSD or something given Jasper pretty much called her a monster in terms of raw power. That’s the kind of thing that people don’t get over easily. And I do think that she’s slowly getting better. Like with room for Ruby its clear that shes slowly starting to recover and she is trying her best. Its just that she needs to take baby steps. And even then it might have been that they would have asked her for help, but figured that she was better left helping Peri with something(Like I said they did seem to mention that they had a drop ship at the end of the episode, so maybe Lapis is helping with the heavy lifting while Peri builds it?)

            As for Peri; yeah she might be effective in that sense, but like I said it’s just not her ideal role. She’s a support member and she’s not super effective in combat. Even her mech suit was easily taken down by the crystal gems when they got serious. And without it she’s pretty much a liability.

            But going to the original point, it could just be that Greg saw the gems holding a space ship from flying off into space for minutes and rushed over and simply forced himself into the team when he heard steven was gone. Greg’s a pretty great dad and he’d probably be the first one to take up arms if someone took Steven away.

  43. Even though I still find her design hideous I’d trade the Big Thicc Lego Bricks (Topaz) for Lapis and Peri any day, tbh at this point they feel pointless and Lars of all people got a star (somewhat) before Peri even tho there were plenty of opportunities for her to get it.

    Also Lapis either needs to express she doesn’t like the CGs better or just suck it up and admit she’s one of them

        The off colors are outcasts cause they’re defective right? Well I’m pretty sure Flourite CHOSE to be “defective”… and I guess I can’t really look past that… you have all these gems who live their entire life as outcasts for something they couldn’t control and then Flourite just decides to be like that
