Magikarp Jump Launches WORLDWIDE! Hints & Tips Inside

The free-to-pay title Magikarp Jump can now be downloaded in North America and other regions on iTunes and Google Play! The official site has been updated with a page about the game and a trailer has also been released in English.

Joe Merrick, owner of Serebii.net, shared his thoughts about how to progress the fastest after playing for a week:

  1. Power up the food over Training. Food is a quicker way of getting JP.
  2. Don’t spend Diamonds on Coin Sacks. It can be tempting, but the coin value you get increases as you level up.
  3. Decoration effects will still be active even if not on display. Get the Whimsicott Cushion first, then Shaymin Planter for their boosts

Good luck training your Magikarp everyone!

  1. Well I’m angry
No matter how many times I try to draw Gloomour and Malisocrat they don’t look right
It’s supposed to be a somber fancy looking Pokemon with a toxic vile attitude, I can’t get the head and hair to look fancy enough

  2. I’m bored…

    Heavppy (heavy + happy)
    Steel
    The Light-hearted Pokemon
Athletes use these pokemon to train their muscels. Heavppy are optimistic and joyful all the time. They are one of the heaviest pokemon.

  4. Off topic, but I’ve seen this topic floating around for ages and I thought it would be good to ask. I just started playing Overwatch but I’m utter shit at the game, any tips? 😀

    • play every character till you find a few playstyles you like and work with that. always aim for the head for critical damage, and switch heroes if you feel like your not doing good, no one would judge ( well some will but ignore them)

    • * Mess around with sensitivity until you get it just right. Some characters like Widowmaker work better with slower sensitivity

      * Find a character to main from each section. An attack, defense, tank, and a healer. Overwatch games are I part decided by your team comp so if you have five attackers and a Mei, you won’t get too far. So it’s good to be suffecient in many characters

      * Find one character you love the most and devote your entire existence to that character. I reccomend Tracer.

      * Learn the maps well. There are lots of nooks and crannies that certain characters can take advantage of. For example, Volskya Industries has a little shortcut on the left side that Pharah, Dva and Lucio can get to that allows them to flank the team.

      * Communicate. Less important in quickplay but in competitive it is super important. If you don’t have a mic, be sure to have the voice channel on and communicate using voice lines or the speech options.

      * Observe enemy behavior. Many characters have certain tactics they use often. Some examples are Symmetra turrets all in one spot (usually a gate or a choke point), Tracer throwing a bomb then rewinding away, Mercy pocketing Pharah so she can fly, and Lucio knocking you off a cliff.

*Know how to avoid ultimates. Each character has plenty of ways to avoid ults even if it’s just more mobility. DVA can eat Hanzo dragon arrows, Tracer Bombs, etc. and Mercy can fly to another player to escape Zarya ults.

      * Stick with your team. Unless you’re flanking or distracting them at the point, you should be with your team. Healers aren’t going to go out of their way to heal you if you are on the other side of the map.

      * Combine ultimates. Knowing the exact time to Ult is essential. Having a Zarya group up the team into one point so you can Rip Tire or Pulse Bomb them is amazing

      * Use guides for your mains

      * Thank your healer. They will appreciate it.

        • Nope, I think I got at least all the silver except for Pyramid, and had Gold for some of the facilities. Factory is also very much luck based, but Pyramid was just so annoying to get through.

  6. Why is it that until only recently I didn’t realize the the “Pikachu colored Pichu” was just a shiny Pichu…….? lol

    • It isn’t really though, it’s *special*. Reminds how Notched ear pichu turned out to be worth nothing 🙁

      • Isn’t it tho? I looked at the colors and it’s basically the same. Unless I’m just color blind of something lol

  7. holy frack
i forgot how intense Ranked Splatoon matches are…..i get 19 kills and still i’m bottom of the board what gives

    • Same. I hate it because even tho it looks like i hit them i did nothing to them

    • Like you get sandwiched in between two people and you can’t do anything but take damage and dash out on your invincibility frames. Frames that you can’t even tell are happening. You can grab someone and continue a combo if your opponent doesn’t dodge like in smash, you just have to wait for them to get up. Uhggggg

      • Ill wait a few months when more contents and nerfs happen. Idk it lost it touch already with me i enjoyed it last night but now its just terribly spam fest

        • The camera is where most of the problems come from. It’s hard to tell exactly from what angle you should attack from so grabs are always going to be better. It also causes situations in 3v3 where you can’t see where all of the players are so you get hit from behind.

3 for all is just not fun at all. You get grabbed when grabbing someone else, no one can see each other or the environment, punches hit each other and cancel each other out… what is happening.

Just fix the camera, make it easier to move around, and maybe add a minimap

    • Wowee. Everyone went from loving the game to hating it. Glad I didn’t try.
So what’s the deal though? What’s with the change?

      • I think the camera is the biggest problem. other than that it’s actually a really fun game to play lol

        • Now I’m really glad I didn’t play. Bad cameras in games actually make me sick. Motion sick to be exact. Ugh no thanks. Just like sonic adventure 02

          Reply
      • People found out that grabbing is broken and realized how bad the camera is and gameplay is super unenjoyable now that there is one thing people keep doing with one single way to counter it that you can’t rely on

  8. I think my major problem with the camera is it’s rigidness. During 1vs1, Vball, and 2vs2 matches it’s more or less fine, but once you get into the free for all it becomes incredibly hard to tartget the right opponent and swap between who you want to attack. It basically locks you onto one person and until someone else comes directly in front of you it’s super hard to change your target. This makes for a very frustrating blind spot and often leads to people ganging up on one person until it just becomes a 1vs1 match………all that said I love this game hahaha

  9. also i’ll admit i pulled a total dick move
in my last match it was a three way

  10. Honestly glad I don’t have to buy this. I already don’t have enough time in the day between Overwatch and Rom Hacking and wasting hours on Reddit and Tumblr and Pokejungle

  11. Am I really the only person here that finds Arms still enjoyable despite the major problem with the camera? Yeah it’s SUPER annoying in free for all and for some people in V ball, but I actually find the game quite fun lol

      • I still haven’t noticed this grab spamming. I imagine it’s maybe not quite as rampant as you guys think it is. Unless I’m just oblivious hahaha

          • Haven’t seen that much from what I can remember…….Oh god…..I hope I’m not one of them. there’s a saying that if everyone in the room is saying there’s someone they hate and you’re the only one that doesn’t know who then it’s prolly you they hate……Uh oh!!! I joke. I don’t think I do it. It’s prolly know if I was lol

      • Yeah free for all is the only time I feel like I lose for dumb reasons. Most of the other matches when I lost I actually felt like the other person deserved it to some degree. A lot of my matches were close and actually kind of exciting lol

        Reply
      • Yeah it’s busted and I use it so well
        Block, Freeze, Stun, repeat
I can even grab off of it if I’m feeling Frisky
But hey, at least it isn’t free for all’s “goodness”
        I thoroughly enjoy arms though

  12. Take a camera, dump it in battery acid, pull it out, smash it, put it back together with Eezy cheese as glue, than urinate on it
That is how you make the free for all camera
