Magikarp Jump Debuts in Japan, Adds English Language Option

Magikarp Jump was released in Italy last week, but has now made it to Japan and other Southeast Asian countries. The game also supports multiple language options, including English!

It probably won’t be long until it is released in the West, so keep your eyes peeled! If you have a Japanese iTunes or Google Play account, check out the links!

    They are simple, but beloved pokemon. Cheese and Bacon were named after this pokemon, because they looked like parts of it.

    Evolves at level 27 into:

    Foodness (Food + Goodness)
    Fire/Fighting
    The Grilled pokemon
    They are very powerful pokemon. They are very big and very strong, they can move giant trees with their thin arms. They can spit their “cheese” at their opponents that is in fact more like hot magma.

  18. Which new Pokemon, Alolan form, or Mega Evolution would you like to see in Pokemon Stars? Here are my examples:

    1. Standard forms of Nihilego, Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Xurkitree, Celesteela, Kartana, and Guzzlord (just like they had Ultra Beast forms in Pokemon Sun and Moon).
    2. New forms of Necrozma, Lycanroc, and Marshadow (possibly Necrozma Dragon Forme and the Morning, Evening, and Late Night forms of Lycanroc).
    3. Two new fossil Pokemon (2-stage)
    4. Porprise (2-stage dolphin Pokemon)
    5. New snowman Pokemon (2-stage Ice/Ghost-type)
    6. Alolan forms of Pichu, Pikachu, Exeggcute, Cubone, Growlithe, Arcanine, Koffing, Weezing, Mankey, Primeape, Ekans, Arbok, Smoochum, Jynx, Paras, and Parasect.

      How do you imagine normal forms for the UBs? They aren’t in “Ultra Beast form”, they ARE the Ultra Beasts. They’re from a diffrent dimension. And why would there be 5 diffrent forms for Lycanrock? How would they be diffrent from each other? The morning form would drink coffe and the evening one would drink beer?

    “I will write myself into a corner just to make this season epic” and it was leaked a while back that a main will die this season,
    Yet my friend saw a leak on Xfinity of lars crying over what she said looks like a cracked rose quartz gem! Yet I was shown the leak and it shows Steven crying over a someone being blocked by an emoji to not fully spoil I have a theory its lars (even though I saw a piece of hair that looks like its Lars, Onion, or Sadie)

          • I dislike Lars as much as the next person tbh, but as his character is now, he’s not going to get much more of a redemption, people like him never truly change, he will always be a coward, and if movies and literature have taught us anything it will be his act of courage that will be his downfall, thats always how it happens

Just because its not how you want it to go doesnt make it dumb, and its a very commonly used narrative in storytelling, the cowardice character provides nothing to the plot and at times is more of a burden, but when the time comes, their act of bravery is their death, it provides the basis that anyone can be a hero and do whats right, and after their death their act of bravery is a turning point to the story

          • Sure but whats the point? Just because its a common character trope doesnt make it good. The thing that makes Lars unlikable isnt that he’s a coward, its that he’s a jerk who never grows as a person. Being a coward was never his defining character trait. Even if he dies, he is still an unlikable jerk who was always mean to the people around him.

          • I mean, I don’t disagree with you, I just think thats how it will go down, and there is an effective way to set it up, its just that so far, it hasn’t been Achieved, and at this point they wouldn’t have time to do it anyways

          • The series just feels like it hasnt been planned out well. Character arcs go nowhere and too many plot threads get forgotten. I hatew it to because the show could’ve been so much better. There was so much they could do

          • well I don’t know what to tell you, for me, its still just as magical, the only thing I wish they would do more of is more fusions and fighting, and more character development, I’m also kinda peeved that Bismuth turned out to be evil because I was really hoping to see an elegant pearl x bismuth fusion

          • Bismuth didn’t deserve what happened to her. Like they should’ve unbubbled her an negotiated with her. Especially since she is treated like a villain for wanting to shatter the diamonds but Rose Quartz is still perfect for shattering Pink Diamond. Not to mention how many times Pearl has endangered Steven. Like, I love all three of them, but Bismuth isn’t evil. She shouldn’t have attacked Steven obviously but still

          • I mean, I obviously don’t think Bismuth started out as evil, but she certainly is now imo considering she will stop at nothing to kill the diamonds which makes he just as bad as they are, now perhaps theres still a chance that with some reasoning and time she can be redeemed, but her objectives are fuelled by hatred and anger… as we know it right now, Rose only shattered pink diamond because she had to, not because she wanted to like bismuth, thats where the dividing line is, its all about intentions and desires

          • Honestly I don’t get that argument. She shouldnt shatter every gem in homeworld, but killing the Diamonds is a good thing isn’t it? Considering they are fascist rulers that force every gem into a particular role and shatter anyone who steps outside that role (remember when Garnet first fused?) They were also going to use the Earth to create a bio weapon made out of millions of dead gems that was going to be used for who knows what. What was this revolution for again?

          • yes, destroying them could have many positive effects for the gems and the earth, but by going through with it, and letting it consume you like it did for bismuth, you would eventually become the thing you hate the most, she wanted to kill them and anyone who got in her way regardless of who they were, Rose didn’t, Rose did it to protect the earth, she did it for her friends, she did it knowing that it wasn’t something she would have wanted to do, she did it to stand up for what she believed in, the earth, not because she wanted to

          • But at what cost? All of the rebels are either corrupted or shattered. Earth would’ve been destroyed by the cluster if Steven didn’t find out about it from Peridot. Killing or bubbling the diamonds would liberate homeworld and all of those gems could be free to do anything they wanted. They could be free. But Rose just abandoned them. I wish the show would address that more. Rose wasnt perfect. Even though she had the bravery to stand up to homeworld and in her mind protected life on Earth, she kinda failed in a lot of ways. Bismuth was a radical, but one that could be reasoned with

          • Star I mean this in the nicest way, but I don’t think you fully understand how dictatorships work. Bubbling the Diamonds wouldn’t “Free the Gems from their Oppressors”; it would create a power vacuum that would immediately be filled by whoever is considered just under the diamonds. After all in their perspective the diamonds are objectively perfect, so anything close to them would be a perfect leader, and most wouldn’t see a problem with it. Heck chances are if Rose did do that she likely would be pressured into being their new ruler, which she clearly didn’t want. Her character wasn’t perfect by any means, but really she probably realized that very few people really shared her perspective as to why she wanted to save the earth, and thus it wasn’t worth the effort of trying to convince others. Just look at Peri. She only came to the conclusion that the earth was worth saving when she managed to process the fact that the earth had unique resources that they had ever encountered before and it would be a waste to destroy those for a single super weapon that could likely be made from any planet.

            Heck going off of that point you could pretty much argue that none of the surviving Crystal gems really care about the earth in the same sense that rose did, but cared for their own personal gain. Garnet for her free expression of her love, Pearl for being with Rose, Ammy for it just being where she was made, and even Lapis for it just being a quiet world where she can work things out.

            As for Bismuth, not really. She was a radical. Her character is meant to be the grim reminder that war’s hell and their isn’t really a good side to it. She wasn’t someone who could really be reasoned with and did try to murder a child. She’s kind of like the people of the French revolution. In theory they are good people overthrowing a kingdom that was oppressing them, but then you remember that they pretty much took the corpses of royals, stuck them to pikes and marched them along in a parade. She pretty much existed solely to remind Steven that he needs to be better then the Diamonds, no matter how hard it might be.

    • tbh I am kinda sold on the idea of seeing Stars (steven x Lars fusion) in the upcoming episodes, but I can totally seeing Lars getting injured in the aftermath and getting killed

        • Its a hard call. Haven’t seen the pic yet, but the upcoming episode titles kinda have me thinking that we might be getting something of a fake out. Like the character in question might get hurt, the plot of the final episode happens, and then maybe we get some payoff that saves the character in question. But of course we’ll find out soon enough.

        • Well i loved it, lots of people make a big fuss about the art or how annoying and unemotional Fi was but i thought it was a very strong game in the series, it introduced a wide array of memorial characters (Cough Groose Cought) and ii don’t understand why everyone gets their panties in a knot over the art i thought it was beautiful, but then again everyone nowadays are overly critical and makes playing the game less about a interactive story but pointing out cliches and railing it with hardware issues

          you should try and snag a Wii Plus from amazon or Gamestop they gotta be dirt cheap right now, you will not be disappoint

  54. So kinda stupid thing, but again worth sharing. An update on Grape-kun the Penguin and his 2D Waifu. Pretty much with all the coverage, even leading to a new drink served at the zoo named after him due to popular demand, the zookeeper that oversees him kinda let slip what may have been the reason for his fascination with the cute animal girl. Grape-kun was moved to the zoo with his mate, however shortly after arriving his mate seemed to express interest in a younger Penguin, which is extra strange since their species of Penguin’s mate for life usually. The odd thing is that his interest in his Waifu seemed to happen right about the same time that it seemed his mate completely abandoned him. So it seems that he’s trying to fill the void with cute anime girls, but finding a healthy balance with it. Truly doing his nation proud.

    What’s unpopular opinion Pokemon-wise? Let’s try to gear this towards the Pokejungle fanbase or at least the older audience. Because saying “I dont like the Pokemon anime” isnt that unpopular.

    – I actually like Pikachu
    – I was perfectly ok with games having the “collect 8 badges and become champ” formula
    – I prefer Shelgon over Salamence
    – I liked Hau as a rival (I know most people prefer the rude rival)
    – I actually dont care if Walking with Pokemon came back
    – I dont like Sinnoh (I dont know how popular or unpopular this is so Im putting it here)
    – I dont like the Kanto/Johto era of the anime
    – I dont like Misty that much

        Kanto to me was very boring. The animation sucked, They got so many things wrong. The battles were nonexistent, and garbage if they did exist. The music was ok at best. I do have to say the humor was pretty decent.
        I used to hate the DP series too, but after rewatching it, it actually isnt that bad.

          • I mean that lo I find the DP games so stale and boring. They’re awful to trudge through and the pacing is terrible. I really like the Pokemon and the characters are pretty decent, but the games are so hard to get though and feel good about. Not to mention the type diversity problem. I know I know Platinum fixed that, but imo it didn’t fix it enough. lol

      – in the next Pokemon game actually make use of the freaking Ultra Beasts, they spend all this time hyping them up for them to barely do anything story-wise
      – Never EVER make Regional Variants unless they are 110% scientifically sound, not just making them to have them

        First off, I actually believe the 3d models are so boring, and 2d sprites actually had personality.
        I didnt know people liked BW anime. Points for uniqueness
        Reading this made me realize that I agree, I do want gyms back. Trials were cool, but they were all a little too easy, and just prefer gyms
        I agree Quanity>Quality. all (well most) pokemon look good in their own way IMO

          • Misty is the only companion I’ve ever truly liked. When I was a little boy I loved her passion for water pokemon. She was someone I idolized. Dawn was good, but not my favorite. Didn’t really have strong opinions on Max or May. I tried watching the BW anime for a while because the games were really good, but couldn’t get into it. Iris didn’t click with me. Haven’t really watched X&Y, but I don’t like the style of their battles. It’s too fast paced for me now

            I also never liked Brock. They often just made him comic relief and his hornyness became a gimmick for almost 700 episodes. The actual good moments with him were drowned out by this.

          • Brock was awesome in all episodes focused on him.. but the problem was those episodes were so few in number that brock pretty much did nothing in hundreds of episodes except for a gag that got old the first time

      -Megas have overall been a flop. They more-often-than-not don’t give them to pokemon that need them.
      -Pikaclones need to stop existing
      -Greninja is poorly designed
      -I don’t think the alola forms were done that well
      -Mystery Dungeon and Ranger aren’t good
      -Johto does not have a good storyline. Everything else in HGSS blinds people to that.
      -Brock was largely annoying
      -Sun and Moon had a meh story

      – Magmortar has a stupid face since it lost its beak, I also hate the pink parts
      – Electivires’ eyes and mouth should be more similar to Electabuzz
      – Most clothing options in Alola aren’t that good.
      – Gen 7 has a dissapointing league, Olivia should be replaced. Hala is fine because he really didn’t get much of a team being so early on.
      – I like Kanto and Johto alot

    • The only unpopular opinion I really hold is that Sinnoh is my least favorite region of the bunch. Not just the region, but the games and surrounding atmosphere as well. They were very slow-paced and I never really got into them, but if remakes do come around, that might be a time for me to re-evaluate that opinion (if it’s anything like the latest trend, it’ll probably be easy as shit anyway)

  67. OK HERES A QUESTION FOR YA CLODS!
    If you could be a member of any of the evil teams in the pokemon universe which team would it be, and you cant be a leader or even a second in command. Choose 4-5 pokemon for yourself that fit the teams theme and what would you be like.

    For me, id be a member of Team Aqua but instead of their usual bandanas id have a hot pink one with a corsola motif and my team would consist of:
    -Azumaril
    -Corsola
    -Politoad
    -Gorbyss
    -Jellicent (female)

    My motives would be totally screwed though, I joined team aqua to be closer to the sea but stayed because of some cute grunt that I wanted to be around. Now my only goal with them is to occasionally battle and impress the other grunt hoping he’ll leave the group with me one day.

    • Honestly its not even that bad of an episode. Kind of a good moment for him to grow to be less of an insufferable person and a nice reminder for people to not act initialed, which is always a problem with both people, and fan bases. But yeah, he’s not the most likable person in the show.

      Then again I’m the guy who would probably say that my favorite character is Lars, so what do I know.

      • I’d say their all good in a sense. Tiger feels like its just some housekeeping and some good character development, I think Lion 4 is after that which is really good or really bad depending on how you look at it, and the final 4 episodes are really good.

          • I’d more say that its a common thing for younger people around Steven’s age to assume that you have some greater purpose in your life. That you were brought into this world for a reason and that you must find it and do it, which is almost never the truth. Most people exist simply because two people loved one another and wanted to create a symbol of that love and hope that that symbol find their own happiness like they did.

            Steven doesn’t have any grand destiny that he must fulfill. He’s not some chosen one or any crap like that. He’s a kid from Maryland with some mother issues and a great dad, and all he was ever meant to be was who ever he wanted to be in his pursuit of happiness called life. Its kinda something you don’t see a lot of shows like this tackle since its easier to just say “your Special” to kids rather then telling them that your just as normal as anyone else and your choices are what make you special.

          • yeah I might have gotten a little dark there, but that was always my take away from the episode. Really you could see a lot of how the gems treat him could easily give Steven a serious complex, but its a nice moment for Greg to just sit back and say that all he ever wanted Steven to do was be happy with whoever he is, once again reminding us that he’s a pretty great dad. A lot of the Adventure time allum seem to be really good at writing/creating them.

          • I guess, but personally Im more of a fan of, “if you’re not born special, its up to you to become special and never stop until you are fulfilled and lived to your hearts desire” rather than just telling kids they’re not special, because truthfully, we are all special in some way, or to someone

          • yes we all are special in our own way, but that’s just part of living. Because we are all unique beings on to ourselves we are all special in a sense. But at the same time most people think of being special means that their a chosen one, or that life has some greater plan for them. Its why the insult of calling someone a snowflake is a thing(because no two are alike and that makes every one special). I’m all for saying to people that what makes you special is what you decide makes you special, rather then just saying your special right from the get go because that’s a quick way to give people ego problems. But to each their own really. There’s not really a right answer here.

    It starts as Heirlva a Emperor Butterfly caterpillar which has these crown horn like thingies and a jewel on its rear
    Into Krystasis a glittery cocoon that looks like a fabrege egg with crystal like threads
    Into Emproyal which is the fully grown Butterfly with Jewel patterned scales and becomes Bug/Psychic

  81. I have a theory that Blue Diamond Subjects don’t have weapons in their gems cause think

    We have never seen Sapphire use one she only has freezing powers

    Aquamarine uses a wand that doesn’t come from her gem and her wings aren’t either

    Holly blue Agate has yet to show one

    And Lapis… Well even though her wings may come from her gem but Aquamarine also does have wings kind of making her weapon less useful and she uses water from her hands instead of her gem

    And Blue Pearl doesn’t appear to have one either

    So this is my logical conclusion to stick with

        • Alright, and with what I’m about to say I am going to mention the episodes to the upcoming 4 parter. So Spoiler time:

          Alright. The thing is that looking to the titles and descriptions to them, I’d say its safe enough to say Lars will NOT die. The final episode is being pitched as Steven gets to know the real Lars. The episode though is called Lars’s head. Personal guess is that lars gets hurt, steven heals him, but he’s not waking up. Steven goes into Lars’s head and learns the truth about Lars and how he sees himself and the world around him. The two grow closer and likely Fuse together, giving homeworld their first real experience of a gem/human hybrid/fusion that could lead into some of Renaldo’s speculation(since what he says tends to be hints to future plot points). The two will probably survive and be fine. That’s my speculation purely off of the title names.

          For the record, the titles are:
          1. Stuck together
          2. The trial
          3. Off colors
          4. Lars’ head

        • There’s a difference between making duel releases for systems that are both HD and making duel releases between systems where one is HD and the other is………not all that great. It’s much harder to create a game for both the 3DS and the Switch than it is probably for them to create a game for both the Wii U and the Switch…..

          • Because the 3DS is old hardware. The Switch is a hand held and a console. (Like literally the system itself is tiny). They need more games to sell the Switch and stop supporting the 3DS. If these games like the new Kirby came out on the Switch they would be better games

          • The handheld mode is actually great. The battery is a bit low but it’s fine because you can play console level games freaking handheld. It’s awesome

          • I understand it saves you money, but the 3DS is an old system……..I realize there are people that can’t afford new shiny things all the time or when they’re first released, but the lack of money on some people’s part shouldn’t hinder progress. It’s that kind of thinking that would have kept us on the nes. In the video game industry people need to be willing to buy the next system if they want to play the newest games. It’s not unfair and at this point it certainly isn’t unreasonable.It’s just how it is. I know that sounds harsh, but that’s the way it’s been for years.

    • Hmm well most cards for high level are in packs so probably buy a Starter deck (I suggest Lunala for the new Garbodor set up in SMGR) then hope for luck or buy a Deci deck hope for its GX then use Golisopod in it for a high power attacker

I just wanted to apologize I feel like I have been being a little less friendly than usual kinda more brutish, but its been test after test after test and will be all the way up till probably the ladt day of school for me the 8th and thats been up my a$$ a while, my friend I was talking about earlier worries me why all of a sudden a random change of tone and she seems a bit… different more distant today (probably nothing but it still makes me worry), my dad having an incident on the road that may put him in jail for a while, Chorus rehearsals tonight and Concert tomorrow stressing me a lot and getting in my homeworks way, seems everyone around me is growing more and more angry at everything stresses me, how I feel so rushed now I haven’t had time to even jump in my pool once and its been open a month now, how all this has been affecting my sleep giving me problems, And wow whats f*cking worse according to my brother a minute ago she is moving to Turkey or Georgia (the country not state) or a Europe or mid-east country which has just about broken my heart right now that I may never see her ever again

          • Kind of my SS teacher too except he’s a nice guy and doesn’t assign much HW (probably why my grades are A and A+’s across the board)

          • I’d do one classes hw in another class, so the teachers really wouldn’t care. And I had like 3 classes (still college level, mind you) that I just didn’t need to pay attention in, so I’d get a lot of work done in them.

          • Thats what I mean too, whenever I tried to do homework in other classes the teachers WOULD care. I took 4 college level classes too. It was just incredibly selfish of teachers to think that I MUST listen to them. Oh well you still get babied in high school

          • I think it also helped that we were given 15 minutes of “silent reading” at the beginning of each class (I had 3 per day, alternating each day. So 6 total), which I used to get most of my homework done in.
            But I definitely had my share of teachers who would get upset if you were doing homework in their class. I remember my APUSH teacher thought I was doing math homework once when I was just working on a random math problem. I told her that I wasn’t, and instead I was doing “recreational mathematics”. I kind of became the math kid after that lol.
