Magikarp Jump Launches WORLDWIDE! Hints & Tips Inside

The free-to-pay title Magikarp Jump can now be downloaded in North America and other regions on iTunes and Google Play! The official site has been updated with a page about the game and a trailer has also been released in English.

Joe Merrick, owner of Serebii.net, shared his thoughts about how to progress the fastest after playing for a week:

  1. Power up the food over Training. Food is a quicker way of getting JP.
  2. Don’t spend Diamonds on Coin Sacks. It can be tempting, but the coin value you get increases as you level up.
  3. Decoration effects will still be active even if not on display. Get the Whimsicott Cushion first, then Shaymin Planter for their boosts

Good luck training your Magikarp everyone!

  2. I haven’t been able to give the ARMS Testpunch a try but I’ll either wake up early tomorrow or Sunday. (I’ve been busy actually being social for once in my life, which is doing wonders for me). 5AM is the only time that will work this weekend! I’m excited though, it looks amazing.

    Cameturion
    Classification: The War Camel Pokemon
    Height: 10’11

    Type: Ground/Steel
Ability: Battle Armor/Filter (Hidden Ability: Stamina)

Pokedex Entry: The armor on a Cameturion is able to withstand the force of a tank blast without scratching. Due to this, it was commonly used as an escort during the great Pokemon war. However, its mobility is nearly nonexistent. To hold up the weight of itself and its armor, it is forced to walk at extremely slow rates in order to minimize the risk of toppling over. Cameturion that fall die of starvation from being unable to stand back up unless they are helped back up.

Upon finding the body of wildlife that has died, it will attempt to use it as protection against sunlight and incoming attacks. 9. So what do you guys think what will happen to the future of Z moves? Do you think they will a add a couple more unique ones? Do you think they’ll just make it like megas and just make them onlyevent only??

    Reply
      • Me too, I am already getting sicking of them finding a new battle innovation to focus on. It’s like an attention grabber really. Grabs you in once but then they just stop using it. By gen 10 We’re gonna have like 5 things you can do with your pokemon in battle.

          • I was just thinking that. Once we reach gen 8 they probably wont do the whole power ranger pose things. It takes up quite of bit time. Honestly I doubt they will even do it for the next game. Im shocked they even allowed it on wifi.

          • Yeh
Like Maybe gen 8 they may add another new thing (Supergiga abilities)
            After that? No more

    • I think a couple more will happen, but after this gen they will stop making new ones and focus on something new most likely what the professor studies

    • I suppose they will do more unique ones, I just hope that if Nintendo introduce more, these do more than just do damage (like Mew’s Z-Move for example, it has an additional effect aside from doing damage)

      • I agree. Maybe some causing weather would be nice.
Personally I want more Unique Z-moves (they all honestly just look really cool)
And I want to see the “other half” for all the z moves we have now. And by other half I mean since most Z moves have the same animation for physical and special, I want to see a split. One animation for physical, and one for special. I know its WAY too much to ask for.

  10. And, since no one else did this yet I’M UNIQUE
    Some areas

Spelunkore Town: This town is located within a cave and is known for the miners who inhabit it and the beautiful gems that line the walls of the cave. Mining activities are important to the town but the dragons who inhabit the caverns around it are feared and respected by all. Trainers are not respected until they pass through this town and beat its leader.

Sørenstone Village: Despite the the location of this village, the land is fertile and full of life. This mountaintop village touches the clouds so bird Pokemon typically roam the village. The inhabitants are known to praise and worship flying types as if they were deities. Each family owns a Noivern as a sign of their membership in the town and it is rare for other people to obtain one.

Coreef Dome: As an artificial area beneath the waves that is known for incorporating the wildlife into marvelous innovations, the entire town glows bright from liquified Marvineon scales that line the roads of the dome. The gym leader of the town has created a device that allows people to breathe underwater. This town sparsely receives tourists due to its rather hidden location.

Vesuvi Outpost: This area is known for being difficult to get to and even harder to inhabit. Due to it being in the middle of a volcano, evacuation drills are mandatory for its residents. Rumors state that artifacts and gems lie within the volcanoes walls, making this the ideal living location for those with an adventurous heart (and don’t fear death).

Joholli Town: This town lies in a snowy field near a mountain and is most frequently used as a rest stop for travelers wandering the frigid landscape.. It always has clear skies. Although it is known as a town full of joy and cheer, an avalanche leveled the entire town only a half a year ago the town is still rebuilding. Regardless, the townsfolk simply sprung back up without much sadness towards their lost town. The Gym Leader of the town has a different opinion on this..

    Ratcoon
    Classification: The Rodent-Raccoon Pokemon
    Height: 2’11
    Weight: 34.8 Lbs
    Type: Normal/Steel
    Ability: Pickpocket/Gluttony (Hidden Ability: Heatproof)
    Stats:
    HP: 31
    Attack: 32
    Defense: 39
    Special Attack: 20
    Special Defense: 25
    Speed: 63
    Base Stat Total: 209
Pokedex Entry: They are known for their weird behavior to lie in trash cans until food is dropped inside for them to eat. They are not picky about what they eat and may consume things that could be considered unsanitary or disgusting without much consequence. While this does eliminate the amount of waste sent to landfills, they are still considered pests due to the pungent scent of their droppings and unappealing appearance.

    Pokedex Entry: 95
    Junkoon
    Classification: The Junkyard Pokemon
    Height: 4’08
    Weight: 143.0 Lbs
    Type: Normal/Steel
    Ability: Pickpocket/Gluttony (Hidden Ability: Heatproof)
    Stats:
    HP: 81
    Attack: 85
    Defense: 117
    Special Attack: 53
    Special Defense: 74
    Speed: 56
    Base Stat Total: 466
Pokedex Entry: After evolving, they grow impatient from waiting so long for food and begin to search for themselves. They now wear a headpiece resembling a trashcan lid and can use it to headbutt or deflect attacks. In addition they wear rather flimsy metal armor on certain parts of their body for protection but it doesn’t do much. When one is seen, people tend to panic as it usually means that many more of them reside in a nearby location.
