  1. I want some spin offs on the DS/WiiU/Switch. Pleaaase. No mobile games. I guess it is mobile game era, so what do I expect.

  2. So kinda stupid thing, but again worth sharing. An update on Grape-kun the Penguin and his 2D Waifu. Pretty much with all the coverage, even leading to a new drink served at the zoo named after him due to popular demand, the zookeeper that oversees him kinda let slip what may have been the reason for his fascination with the cute animal girl. Grape-kun was moved to the zoo with his mate, however shortly after arriving his mate seemed to express interest in a younger Penguin, which is extra strange since their species of Penguin’s mate for life usually. The odd thing is that his interest in his Waifu seemed to happen right about the same time that it seemed his mate completely abandoned him. So it seems that he’s trying to fill the void with cute anime girls, but finding a healthy balance with it. Truly doing his nation proud.

  4. Soooo since I bring the Pokemon Conversation let’s start it again.
What’s unpopular opinion Pokemon-wise? Let’s try to gear this towards the Pokejungle fanbase or at least the older audience. Because saying “I dont like the Pokemon anime” isnt that unpopular.

    – I actually like Pikachu
    – I was perfectly ok with games having the “collect 8 badges and become champ” formula
    – I prefer Shelgon over Salamence
    – I liked Hau as a rival (I know most people prefer the rude rival)
    – I actually dont care if Walking with Pokemon came back
    – I dont like Sinnoh (I dont know how popular or unpopular this is so Im putting it here)
    – I dont like the Kanto/Johto era of the anime
    – I dont like Misty that much

    • I agree with your points on Pikachu, Shelgon, Hau,and Sinnoh. I like the first 3 and would go as far to say I almost HATE DP lol

      Reply
      • I dont get the constant hate on pikachu. Honestly, it just seems like “He’s popular so I hate him.” Hipster thing.
        Finally a Shelgon lover.
Kanto to me was very boring. The animation sucked, They got so many things wrong. The battles were nonexistent, and garbage if they did exist. The music was ok at best. I do have to say the humor was pretty decent.
I used to hate the DP series too, but after rewatching it, it actually isnt that bad.

        • Hey now…..I never said I didn’t like the original anime series lol I’d say the DP anime was one of the best series. It showed Ash as a competent battler and showed growth in his whole group (Dawn and Brock included)

          Reply
          • I mean that lo I find the DP games so stale and boring. They’re awful to trudge through and the pacing is terrible. I really like the Pokemon and the characters are pretty decent, but the games are so hard to get though and feel good about. Not to mention the type diversity problem. I know I know Platinum fixed that, but imo it didn’t fix it enough. lol

    • – I like Cheren and Bianca
      – Sinnoh isn’t that good
      – Emolga’s best Pikaclone
      – Maractus is great and it needs more attention
      – Fire/Fighting types aren’t bad
      – Normal types rock
      – Rock types normal
      – I don’t like the first PMD game at all
      – PMDEOS is my favorite Pokemon game (but I don’t know if that opinion is unpopular here)
      – Dragon types are overrated
      – Hoenn music isn’t that good

    • – I like Rock and Ground types and believe they should be separate types
      – i genuinely liked Iris in the Anime
      – i hate 60% of pokemon
      – I think Gamefreak is really phoning it in using gimmicks to fill in the gaps of what really matters Pokemon and everyone falls for them
      – Small dexs are a bad thing and i prefer quantity over quality (because with more you’re bound to like some of them naturally)
      – Bianca is thicc
      – Rivals are becoming less about rivalry and more about forcing friendship i want a return of douchebag Rivals that make you angry
      – we need another region completely devoid of preexisting pokemon
      – They need to stop shortcoming pokemon types, fairy is getting too many entries while others only jack
      – Challenge Mode Gamefreak, stop spoon-feeding the newer generations of bastards and give us a real challenge
      – in the next Pokemon game actually make use of the freaking Ultra Beasts, they spend all this time hyping them up for them to barely do anything story-wise
      – Never EVER make Regional Variants unless they are 110% scientifically sound, not just making them to have them

        • Thank you. I wonder if I could put that on my list. Dont get me wrong some are really ugly like Incineroar Emboar Rhyperior, and there are some I HATE battling (Celesteela), but I just dont flat out treat a pokemon like I treat cloud in smash.
Seriously though Cloud needs to die

    • – We need more fairy types
      – I hate Charizard
      – Sinnoh sucks
      – I prefer the pixelated looks of pokemon more than the 3D version and honestly wish we could go back
      – I don’t like brock
      – I like Iris
      – I liked the BW anime
      – I want gyms back
      – I wish every gen had at least 100 new pokemon and don’t believe in quality over quantity because I all pokemon are amazing
      – I think all pokemon can be used effectively in battle

      • You definitely have the most interesting list so far, and thats a good thing.
First off, I actually believe the 3d models are so boring, and 2d sprites actually had personality.
I didnt know people liked BW anime. Points for uniqueness
Reading this made me realize that I agree, I do want gyms back. Trials were cool, but they were all a little too easy, and just prefer gyms
I agree Quanity>Quality. all (well most) pokemon look good in their own way IMO

          • Misty is the only companion I’ve ever truly liked. When I was a little boy I loved her passion for water pokemon. She was someone I idolized. Dawn was good, but not my favorite. Didn’t really have strong opinions on Max or May. I tried watching the BW anime for a while because the games were really good, but couldn’t get into it. Iris didn’t click with me. Haven’t really watched X&Y, but I don’t like the style of their battles. It’s too fast paced for me now

I also never liked Brock. They often just made him comic relief and his hornyness became a gimmick for almost 700 episodes. The actual good moments with him were drowned out by this.

          • ” I loved her passion for water pokemon.” honestly same though, thats one of her redeeming factors, when I was little I used to pretend to be a team aqua grunt

          • I guess I’ve just always had a thing for female characters too, and that was one of my favorite shows when I was little.

          • I love female characters so much, but I’ve never really cared for any in the pokemon anime as much as other shows

          • Brock was awesome in all episodes focused on him.. but the problem was those episodes were so few in number that brock pretty much did nothing in hundreds of episodes except for a gag that got old the first time

    • -I like the anime, sinnoh and kalos mainly
      -Ash is a good trainer
      -Misty is a bad character
      – XY weren’t that bad..way better than gen 1 and 2
      -Hoenn isn’t that good
      -fairy isn’t a good typing
      -incineroar isn’t that bad
      -battle frontier isn’t that good
      – serena is best female companion
-Shadows of Almia is the best Pokemon spinoff ever
      -Reginal variants are lame
      -Megas are awesome
      -z moves aren’t

      Reply
      • i agree with most of these except Serena she was literally the worst, she contributed nothing but lusting over Ash’s butt

    • I guess if I’m actually going to answer this question:
-Megas have overall been a flop. They more-often-than-not don’t give them to pokemon that need them.
      -Pikaclones need to stop existing
      -Greninja is poorly designed
-I don’t think the alola forms were done that well
-Mystery Dungeon and Ranger aren’t good
-Johto does not have a good storyline. Everything else in HGSS blinds people to that.
      -Brock was largely annoying
-Sun and Moon had a meh story

    • OkAY! HERE GOES
      -I liked Iris
      -I love wingull and Peli
-I find Blastoise to be a very eh design
      -Same for Feraligatr and Infernape
      -I never liked Palkia
-Gen 4, minus a few areas, was a snooze

      Reply
    • – I vastly prefer Wartortle to Blastoise
      – I didn’t like Max in the anime at all
      – The evil teams in Sun/Moon were under-developed, especially when comparing to Magma/Aqua and Rocket, same with the respective leaders.
      – I never played the battle frontier so I’m not that bothered if it returns.
      – Rhyperior is over-designed, I much prefer Rhydon
      – Magmortar has a stupid face since it lost its beak, I also hate the pink parts
      – Electivires’ eyes and mouth should be more similar to Electabuzz
      – Most clothing options in Alola aren’t that good.
      – Gen 7 has a dissapointing league, Olivia should be replaced. Hala is fine because he really didn’t get much of a team being so early on.
      – I like Kanto and Johto alot

    • The only unpopular opinion I really hold is that Sinnoh is my least favorite region of the bunch. Not just the region, but the games and surrounding atmosphere as well. They were very slow-paced and I never really got into them, but if remakes do come around, that might be a time for me to re-evaluate that opinion (if it’s anything like the latest trend, it’ll probably be easy as shit anyway)

  5. OK HERES A QUESTION FOR YA CLODS!
If you could be a member of any of the evil teams in the pokemon universe which team would it be, and you cant be a leader or even a second in command. Choose 4-5 pokemon for yourself that fit the teams theme and what would you be like.

For me, id be a member of Team Aqua but instead of their usual bandanas id have a hot pink one with a corsola motif and my team would consist of:
    -Azumaril
    -Corsola
    -Politoad
    -Gorbyss
    -Jellicent (female)

My motives would be totally screwed though, I joined team aqua to be closer to the sea but stayed because of some cute grunt that I wanted to be around. Now my only goal with them is to occasionally battle and impress the other grunt hoping he’ll leave the group with me one day.

    • Screw that i’d be a Magma grunt who defects and get the job done the right way
      Rhyperior
      Excadrill
      Hippowdon
      Garchomp
      Mamoswine
      Nidoking

    • Team Aqua of course. and mine would be just to drown everything. Because everything in water is graceful while land is disgusting.
To keep with the gen 3 theme My team would consist of
      Lanturn
      Milotic
      Kingdra
      Gyarados
      Tentacruel

  6. I like how the last episode was a powerful one relating to Steven and his mom
And the next one is Rocknaldo
…. I don’t feel bad for skipping it

    • Honestly its not even that bad of an episode. Kind of a good moment for him to grow to be less of an insufferable person and a nice reminder for people to not act initialed, which is always a problem with both people, and fan bases. But yeah, he’s not the most likable person in the show.

Then again I’m the guy who would probably say that my favorite character is Lars, so what do I know.

  7. I actually don’t dislike season 4…
I mean… a lot of the decisions were literal shit (HAI PERIDOT AND LAPIS) but it also gave the zoo ark along with what was perhaps one of my favorite episodes in the entire show

    Reply
      • I don’t even care about that tbh
I just honestly liked a few episodes in this seasons so much that it brings my entire opinion on this season way up

(Also Season 4 episode 1….. fucking Peridot)

        • This season killed my love for this show. I’m sure its slightly better if you binge watch it but they made so many questionable decisions that it just blows my mind

          Reply
          • I mean…. I actually had almost all of season 4 spoiled for me… except for the episode “Mindful Education”
Like I knew there was a song in it and everything… just not what that episode was about… considering that’s the thing I went in blind for, I’m extremely satisfied

          • can confirm. I binge watched it from episode one to right when Malachite came into being, then I had to wait

      • they made it seem like it amethyst and peridot were gunna become amazing friends and then they like never spoke again, they had one epsiode in too short to ride

  8. So are any of the Episodes between (and including) “Tiger Philanthropist” to “I am My Mom” good?

    Reply
      • I’d say their all good in a sense. Tiger feels like its just some housekeeping and some good character development, I think Lion 4 is after that which is really good or really bad depending on how you look at it, and the final 4 episodes are really good.

        Reply
      • Don’t watch Lion 4 it…. is a very irrelevant to alot it just gives a slight curve to it but mostly filler

        Reply
        • But you should watch it. Its kinda good character development for Steven and is a good lesson for a lot of people, especially those around his age.

          Reply
          • I’d more say that its a common thing for younger people around Steven’s age to assume that you have some greater purpose in your life. That you were brought into this world for a reason and that you must find it and do it, which is almost never the truth. Most people exist simply because two people loved one another and wanted to create a symbol of that love and hope that that symbol find their own happiness like they did.

Steven doesn’t have any grand destiny that he must fulfill. He’s not some chosen one or any crap like that. He’s a kid from Maryland with some mother issues and a great dad, and all he was ever meant to be was who ever he wanted to be in his pursuit of happiness called life. Its kinda something you don’t see a lot of shows like this tackle since its easier to just say “your Special” to kids rather then telling them that your just as normal as anyone else and your choices are what make you special.

          • yeah I might have gotten a little dark there, but that was always my take away from the episode. Really you could see a lot of how the gems treat him could easily give Steven a serious complex, but its a nice moment for Greg to just sit back and say that all he ever wanted Steven to do was be happy with whoever he is, once again reminding us that he’s a pretty great dad. A lot of the Adventure time allum seem to be really good at writing/creating them.

          • I guess, but personally Im more of a fan of, “if you’re not born special, its up to you to become special and never stop until you are fulfilled and lived to your hearts desire” rather than just telling kids they’re not special, because truthfully, we are all special in some way, or to someone

          • yes we all are special in our own way, but that’s just part of living. Because we are all unique beings on to ourselves we are all special in a sense. But at the same time most people think of being special means that their a chosen one, or that life has some greater plan for them. Its why the insult of calling someone a snowflake is a thing(because no two are alike and that makes every one special). I’m all for saying to people that what makes you special is what you decide makes you special, rather then just saying your special right from the get go because that’s a quick way to give people ego problems. But to each their own really. There’s not really a right answer here.

          • I can understand where you’re going with this.. even if it hits some.. hard points for me

    • To watch whats on Memorial day to make sense you have to watch “Dug out to “I am my mom” everything before is irrelevant
