Pokémon GO Announces ‘Adventure Week’

A new event, dubbed Adventure Week, has been announced for the hit iOS/Android game Pokémon GO. It will run from May 18-25, so don’t miss it!

To help you stock up for your upcoming adventure, more items will be awarded from every PokéStop you visit, and Poké Balls will be 50% off in the in-game shop. Your Buddy Pokémon is also in the adventuring spirit and will find Candies four times as fast for the duration of the celebration. Whether you’re exploring your neighborhood or an exotic new location, make sure to watch for Rock-type Pokémon such as Omanyte, Kabuto, and their Evolutions. Keep an eye out—maybe you’ll even spot Aerodactyl!

In addition to the perks above, the event also rewards a cosmetic item: the Explorer’s Hat!

We’ll bring you more as it comes. Let us know if you’re excited to ROCK OUT with this new event!

  1. Maybe I’ll start playing this game again someday when I become more active. Anyways, I’m even more convinced that a game announcement is imminent due to Masuda’s Twitter antics. Looking back at his history, the only times he has retweeted Nintendo have been for Pokémon-related tweets. As a result, this Nintendo Switch retweet could imply something big.

  2. I made a dex entry for the fakemon Earthen made for me

    Guffang
    Ground/Dark
    The Laughing Pokemon
Guffangs aren’t native to the Slavy region. They have been brought here for entertainment, but they ran away and are now dangerous predators. They are known for their diabolical laughter. If you are alone in the wild and you hear a laughter or even just giggling, run.

    • Hmmmmm not bad I would’ve said the Cackling Pkm
And I still think it should be Dark/Ground since they embody that crazy wild predator a bit more then their rough savage terrain they inhabit

and its kinda sounding like Yungoos and Gumshoos entry but then again I’m no expert on Hyenas

I just really like the name Guffang sad I gave it to you first

      • I made a little bit of “research” (googled “hyenas and looked at Wikipedia) and this is what I thought would make the most sense

        • This is what I woulda done
          Guffang
          The Cackling pkm
          Dark/Ground
          Vital Spirit/Hustle HA: Sand Rush
A compact squat canine like Pokemon (fun fact they’re more related to felines) with a grizzled sandy fur hwith black streaks, it’s limbs are pitch black with brown claws, it’s head is fairly short with round ears filled with cuts and notches, its biggest feature is its large goofy fang filled grin, it’s pale yellow teeth are always fixed in a crazy smile and it has bright yellow eyes
“They communicate in deep bellowing laughing barks, they race down larger prey in packs and all try to eat as much as they can, if you hear the sound of laughter be highly cautious”

And for a build fairly high speed and physical attack, and they learn mostly Bite, Elemental Fangs, Sucker Punch, Dig, Roar, Earthquake by TM,

      • I’m still willing to bet there’s a game coming, but I’m not so sure it’ll be announced in the form of a traditional direct with this. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens

  3. Man I don’t give a flaming shite about Go no mo but I would love to see some Fossils, it’s a bloody outrage we didn’t get freaking Fossils for Sun and moon, they’re the staple of most of my teams (except RSE & BW)

But on another note I hope in the next incarnation of Pokemon we have the option to choose ride Pokemon or at least reskin it to pick favorable means of transportation

I have one more day I can be absent without having to take my finals but I have shit to do every day this week. A test today, a test tomorrow, and a project on Thursday. Friday is the only day I have off and even then it doesn’t even count because attendance doesn’t count that day

  7. Pure Self-Indulgence time, but my god Nobuo Uematsu has knocked it out of the park again creating a perfect war anthem. May the man continue to compose music to his final days.

As for the whole Arms/Splatoon Direct, it makes sense. Both games are being aimed for the summer with ARMS coming out right before E3 if I remember right. It kinda needs to be a focus. As for Pokemon, lets be honest that we know that if games come out this year they’ll be Sinnoh Reamkes. Probably all of the Necro stuff with the TCG is simply a means to helping build up the next movie as it’ll probably have it as the main villain.
