  1. Phione is a sweet innocent slug child and deserves something to make it different from Manaphy

    • Well I mean

It has a rough time with anything that resists water (especially if they’re physically bulky) and considering how low its HP stat its great defense stats aren’t nearly as bulky as it needs to be. It’s also dreadfully slow and doesn’t have the best coverage, especially since its coverage and Bug STAB aren’t exactly that strong either

      • But here’s the thing
RU -C? The lowest rank in the tier?
It literally kills half the tier, resists another half, and has a lot of really strong match ups. I can see it not being A or S but bottom tier RU? That’s a bit much…. Plus, it beats a lot of key Ru threats like Reuniclus, Cress, Shaymin, Salazzle, and Venusaur. I would at least push for B
Apparently the viability ranks aren’t final so..

          • And Salazzle, and around half the other mons in the tier aren’t? Gardevoir literally runs one set and a lot of higher tier mons resist it. Perhaps it’s a little too harsh don’t ya think? Keep in mind, Tapu Lele is a predictable mon

          • Oh, and they consider Normal Exeggutor -C too, which already shows the reliability of this list

          • Tapu Lele has amazing offense stats and doesn’t rely on its ability to make one STAB good (although it does become a psychic nuke thanks to terrain), meaning it can dish out four different types offense wise whereas Araquanid can only do one (Leech Life is only good on the physically frail or those weak to it anyway)

          • Yeah but still, water hits most mons in the tier outside of Mantine and Toxacroak
And Mirror coat basically lets it insta-kill some mons, it’s an extremely effective trap

          • Though giving it some thought, the validity list isn’t even that accurate yet considering a few other things…. like how only one person can edit the list atm

          • If they know you’ve got Mirror Move it immediately decreases in usefulness because they know to avoid it

And the thing is Tine and Croak are hard counters, which is probably why it’s so low. Not much Pokémon have such heavy counters in the same tier as them, yet Araquanid has two.

          • Yeah but Toxacroak literally never comes up…
And certain mons are forced to attack special, so it forces switches which are quite scary against Araq
I guess we’ll just have to wait till the tier is solidifirf

          • Also plenty of mons have two hard counters, it just means they aren’t top top tier
I’m not arguing for top, I’m arguing for mid

          • Higher tier as in higher rank, particularly Escavelier, Doublade, and Reuni

  2. Are there more than 1 of those Koroks that can expand your inventory with Korok seeds? Or is just the one guy near Kakariko?

  7. So, any particular less than stellar from SuMo you guys know? I am trying to make them all good
    So far I’ve done

    Lycanroc Verlisify form
    Pal of the sand
    Meow Mix John Cena

        • I mean I’d definitely say that RU is less than stellar considering its only two up from PU

So pretty much all of Alola

          Reply
          • Also the power creep happened… so RU is basically UU at this point

          • Which would mean that the once average become subpar because the roof is raised

          • Basically, that’s the power creep in a nutshell
            Uber is broken
OU is slowly (Rapidly really) approaching that level
UU is the new OU, good
Ru is the new UU, the average

          • That’s not how a power creep works. It means that the tiers are still what they used to be, it’s just that the Pokemon have moved due to an increase in the power ceiling without a raise of the power floor

UU is still UU, it’s just that things from OU are now worse because they got counters and competition, etc

          • I mean I get that, I’m just saying basically that’s what the tiers are kinda like now. OU basically seems a lot more like Ubers while UU seems more like OU

          • They’re still the exact same levels of powers tho, it’s just because things have changed so drastically that you’re getting an illusion of a difference

UUs this Gen are no better than those last Gen in their own conditions, etc

      • Oranguru is actually already really good in the right teams
But I will give Shiinotic a shot… hope it works

    • I’m still majorly upset that Mudsdale didn’t get Bulk Up
i mean if the Jizz Rag got it why not a creature known for muscles

        • Huh, it’s a badly translated move.
The original name means ‘follow about’, implying stalking rather than an army of tiny insects like the animation implies.

Seems to be mostly bug, poison and grass that learn it.
There are som very strange exceptions though.
          It’s a weird move.

    • Who would have guessed that Ophiuchus is a Machoke?
Gemini should have been Plusle and Minun instead of two Pikachus.
Not sure what some of these are supposed to be.
      I’m guessing Ho-oh is Apus.
      Murkrow is obviously Corvus.
I think Arcanine is Canis Major and edge-wolf is Canis Minor.
Ursa Major and Ursa Minor are obvious.
      Guessing Lucario is Vulpens.
      Rayquaza is probably Draco.
Not sure about MIlotic since Seviper appears to be Serpens.
      Maybe Milotic is Hydra.
No clue what Chandelure and Lunala are.
