Pokémon GO Easter Event Announced

The rumors are true, Pokémon GO will be hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza Event!

From 1:00pm PST today until 1:00pm PST on April 20th, trainers will be able to take advantage of the following benefits:

  • Double EXP
  • Greater variety of Pokémon hatching from 2km eggs
  • Increased candy quanity for egg hatchs
  • 50% off on Lucky Eggs in the in-game shop

No word yet if the new Pokémon added to the 2km egg group will be brought down from the 5km and 10km groups, or if they’re simply Pokémon that usually cannot be hatched from eggs at all. For the official press release you can visit Niantic’s official blog!

  3. So I just watched Paprika for the first time. Instantly one of my favorite movies of all time, not just animated…higher than some Studio Ghibli movies for sure. If you haven’t seen it before, it’s a crazy experience. Next up I want to see Millennium Actress and Akira.

    • An army of sexy Scottish women who are all the daughters of the Scotsman. Given the guy was a pretty happily married man, I gotta feel for his wife. She had to have had kids 5+ at a time. Also he’s now a ghost dad. And Jack’s gone off with that one crazy thing.

  13. And speaking of electric types I finally came up with my a better name for Hyjakk my Pikaclone

    Gnibbiri (Gnaw Nibble and the Japanese onomatopoeia for electricity)
    The Mouse Pkm
    Electric/Steel
    Static/Lightning Rod HA: infiltrator
    A very small silvery white rodent Pokemon with a somewhat rounded rectangular body it has a blue stripe running down its spine, it has very small nub like limbs with no digits underneath its body that despite its lack of claws could still climb effectively, it has a extremely long wire like tail that ends with a Pom Pom often bent in a curly or crooked shape, it has large parallelogram shaped ears atop its head a dot like nose and large “cutesy” eyes and large incisor, bluish grey electrical pouches on each cheek
    “Always hungry for electricity, they sneak into buildings and bite into wiring to feed on their electricity due to this they are seen as pests and a nuisance, their metallic teeth never stop growing so they must find harder and harder materials to whittle them down”

    High speed but more of a physical attacker also semi good defense regarding the steel typing (which honestly I don’t view as a defensive type anymore)

  16. So: I’m very late to the party on this, and just saw the little bannana buddy ‘mon!!! OH MY LOOOORD, SO CUUUTE!!!!
    It’s likely fake, but it’s at the least a VERY GOOD fake.
    What’s everyone’s overall consensus on the little guy?

    • There’s something about the professionally drawn lines and similarities to previous anime production art which makes me believe it could be real. Either the creator was very meticulous with their copying of that design, or it’s completely real. Sounds like something I said about a certain trio of starter evolutions…

        • Unless that design was for something far in the future, like 2019 for Gen 8, then it could easily be for this year. I really have no idea what’s going to happen next!

    • Are you sharing a game? that seems like a bad way to play Zelda BOTW given all the decisions you need to make at every turn. If you don’t have full control of your destiny then what’s the point? hahaha
