  2. I love using Dedenne so much on Showdown. Giving it a Sitrus Berry with Cheek Pouch, Nuzzle, Super Fang, Volt Switch, and T-bolt is great. Like I’ve taken out a few Rayquaza with it, and it’s satisfying.

  3. Petlil is the last pokemon I have left to breed 😀
Too bad I have to chain breed from Clefairy to Cherubi to Petlil then find a Sun Stone to get one with Healing Wish

    • meh. I”m just chilling my self, rewatching My hero Academia since its on Crunchy roll now and their getting season 2 next week. But yeah. Kinda quiet today, but its that time of year. Pokemon news is pretty much dry and a lot of the big releases around this time are RPG’s that don’t appeal to us all, so we don’t talk about them much.

      • I think you can do a tad better then being sleepless
but is the Shapeshifting just anything in general or some limitations
Follow up does it affect the entire body or can you kinda segment it into areas I.E. long stretchy arm with blade fingers

          • Unoriginal but it’s your choice

You probably could create liquid ice weapons, blades, clubs and whips

Or the ever powerful elemental exoskeleton where you are in a living blob of water (in a humanoid shape) where you can do a ton of abilities

    • Super Strength: Can lift 50-100 times my weight with minimal effort (but fatigue is a very much a issue where I can burn out my strength the more I use it)

Geokinesis: Minipulate all forms of minerals in any conceivable way (with the proper training and practice) but must be physically touching the ground (mostly limited to common minerals and some metals)

Superhuman Durability: Can withstand great amounts of pain, like a rampaging Semi Truck collision is the equivalent of being tackled by a average man, this also includes a healing factor but this does take time

      • Which element, usually if you control more they’re usually weaker the more you have and take much more skill and energy to compensate

        • Uhhh well if I had to choose then probably water. I was kind of thinking more along weather lines, so I think it’d be cool to create storms ^-^

          Reply
          • I had a hunch, you seem like the storm wielder type
            Create slicing winds
            Lighting blasts
            Vortex conjuring
            Rain needles

I did have this old weather monster drawing whom I gave a attack where it creates a electrocharged rainstorm where every drop of rain has electricity running through it

          • That’s pretty cool!
And yeah, I had that stuff in mind. I could also probably alter the air currents to be in my favor, so that I can fly faster

    • The ability to make anything happen with my mind, thats all I need to do everything.

But if I really HAD to only have three id go with
      Flight
Fusion (because it seems cool, like fusion from SU)
Shadow Elemental control, its like a combo of light and darkness that has can have a physical energy, kind of like fire or water.

      Reply
      • Omnipotence is strictly forbidden,

but with all forms of elemental control the abilities are nearly unlimited (like you could pull light and shadows from nearby objects to use as weapons and appendages like wings (but the philosophy is light and dark elements are the very staple of the universe ergo if you use them too much or don’t put them back they destabilize along with the objects taken from

          • every superpower has rules and limitations
And the Elements are no exception, they are the very building blocks of nature, peaceful on paper but wild and chaotic in nature

And Light and Shadow are the most religious (and tough to use simultaneously), where they are good and bad but necessary for the world to function properly, you much achieve perfect balance of good and evil to wield them both otherwise the scale tips erratically, that a mere shade will corrupt you or a single gleam of light sears your soul

          • Im sorry but I disagree, this is certainly a perfectly plausible explanation of a certain rule for powers, but not the only one, much like fantasy itself there are many different ways for one to achieve and manage powers, as well as many different ways in how they would work. If they fit into a box so easy then they would no longer be such, they would be more akin to science. Its the same with fantasy and religion, they are such because anything can be possible under the right circumstances, if they all had to abide by the same rules then they wouldn’t exist in the first place.

However I know you, so I expect your response telling me I’m wrong

          • tell that to most fiction and science fiction laws
Point is Natural Elements and Science don’t mix, you can’t rationally dissect the rules of the light and shadow

          • whoop there it is. Yeah no, I get it you’re probably not really a fan of fantasy in general and thats fine, but at least try to understand it. Theres really no need for rationality in it anyways, stop trying to convert everything into the laws of our world, not everything has to be like that

          • But that’s just bad writing, oh you can do anything and nothing can be done to you, why don’t you just call yourself god you t*at

          • something you can’t understand isn’t bad writing, as long as it has an explanation and its OWN set of rules its perfectly sound, but it doesnt need your set of rules

          • they’re not my rules its the superpower’s rule,
i mean honestly let’s discus what exactly one can do with light and shadow
its just purely light and the absence of light which is electromagnetic radiation visible to the human eye, which at worst can blind, and burn through things
where shadow just blinds and freezes stuff if stuff is left there

but the magical fantasy rules attune it to holy and unholy magical properties such as righteous good and corruptible evil

          • well in a scientific way yes, but given a more elemental magic look the possibilities are quiet frightening

          • ugh you just don’t get it, Im not talking about literal light and literal darkness to begin with, I tried to express that by saying it had a physical energy. Honestly earthen I think this is one you probably won’t understand no matter what. Its a concept that out of your range of thinking, and I don’t mean that rudely. But honestly you are so hung up on rules, and you think their are rules set in place for superpowers and how elemental powers work, and as many of us have said, there are not, they vary from fictional universe to universe and sometimes they don’t even have rules, its complex but very simple and you’re trying too hard. In some fictional universes beings absolutely have godlike powers and can create things from nothing, in others their are rules, pros and cons, blessings and hindrances, its honestly that simple.

          • alright find me proof that a lack of rules works or is acceptable (actual proof),
Because if Superpowers were all willy nilly they wouldn’t mean as much

i hold superpowers in high regard because its all writing and imagination, but its just something that needs rules and laws to be more convincing and real,

like a fire manipulator being weak to water or cold, its just something that cannot be ignored

          • Does One Punch Man work?
I mean, the literal reasoning behind his powers was that he does
            100 Sit ups
            100 Push Ups
            100 Squats
and a 10KM run each day

          • that’s more of a character reason, he’s written to be like that

i’m talking about the philosophy of superpowers, i’m just stating most supoerpowers have some kind of fundamental law that they must follow to work properly,

          • i mean yeah but that’s a very slim percentage
that usually falls into breaking reality and laws of science

          • because just having omnipotence is just generally not allowed, i mean this was just a fun little idea to see what people would like if given the opportunity
but some things are just too op

          • im not even talking about your question anymore dude, Im talking about super powers in general across the scale of literature

          • well tell me where the same type of logic applies, they don’t always respond the same but follow a faint guideline

          • earthen really, I honestly explained myself like 5 times, I’m done, I literally answered this question for you twice

          • you’re the type of person that “listens” by interrupting people, aren’t you?

          • i am, i’m re-reading what Fae originally said about managing and using superpowers
IE the Light and Shadow power where the root of this ordeal started
he could’ve tried to explain how it worked and how it works for him but was too busy focusing on not following a hypothetical laws of science that make up the make-up of said power

          • Than please explain why nobody else here throws temper tantrums about having a legend destroy their team
Compared to me, your luck is fucking perfect

          • Pardon my horrible existence that I call my life, least i excel in creating greatly in depth ideas and writings

          • I consistently wish I was dead, have a severe inferiority complex, and realize that no matter how successful I am, I will never be able to rid the inferiority complex I have because of the way I was born and that it will probably either force me into an even worse depression or suicide at some point in my life. Yet I don’t complain a quarter as much as you do

          • get in line pal
a ton of health and mental problems
            weight problem
            unfulfilling job
            no friends
            unrequited love life
            anger issues
            constant periods of bad luck
            and constant thoughts of suicide

          • So besides the health problems and unfilling job being exchanged for inferiority complex, and adoption issues. We’re the same. You’re much older than I am, and I constantly have meltdowns. Nobody ever tries to help me, I have to fuckin help myself all the time. So don’t give me the crap about how bad your life is when people on this very site, besides myself even, have it much worse off than you do

          • Im literally writing novels and have mentored under actual published authors so writing is something I’m good at too, although I also read

          • good fer you, i’m self taught

And i’m done (Samurai jack is starting :3) this once again turned into a Earthen banwagon like most conversations with me end)

          • i mean I’m self taught to, I started writing on my own and created my world around the age of 11, when I mentored under the authors I did they kinda just told me what they liked, there wasnt much negative feedback from them, basically what they taught me was setting up certain things and how to market myself once I get published.

            Done with what?

          • I think its more you have a conversation, throw a tantrum and act like an idiot, and people get a little annoyed and try to point out the issue. If you wanna see it as you did nothing wrong, go right ahead. Whatever helps you sleep at night dahlin’~

          • Nope, this was strictly about Superpowers rules and philosophy and somehow it shifted towards you reminding me of my tantrums and began to have who has a worst life contest

          • Better, not perfect; everyone has a flaw (and most legends are OP and you know it)
And you know nothing about my bad luck,

          • The move “Stomping Tantrum” was probably GF’s way of acknowledging you. It’s even ground type.
Most legends are stupidly easy to kill with counters. It’s just that there are a fair amount of mons you won’t use, and if you used them, you’d counter legends. Besides, you use Garchomp, and that’s on par with most legend. Just saying. Take your head out of the dirt and clean up your act pumpkin.

          • You can also use mons that can be versatile. For example, Araquanid, a typical bulky attacker, can also run Mirror Coat. I run this as a way to bait electric types into attacking me, just so I can instantly hit them with a mirror coat and kill them on the spot

          • i know, like a nidoking to counter lando with Ice beam
or wait stealth rock broke its sash and lando kills it with Earthquake

          • I mean use mons that go out of your comfort zone ya dummy
Leaving a Nidoking in on a Lando in any situation is an absolute NO NO
            It’s stupid

          • did you even fucking read anything I wrote?
Im not saying that they don’t need rules, some don’t have rules yes, like god characters, of course, but what I said, which I will REPEAT for the like 3rd time, is that you. do. not. define. these. rules! The rules you set, do not apply to all magic, all superpowers, or all fantasy, they only apply to the universe in which you are thinking, other universes and other works of literature have THEIR OWN RULES, and they are different, not scientific, sometimes a little, sometimes not at all.

DID YOU READ IT NOW DUSTY?

          • and like I said, that is only one set of rules, and it doesnt apply to everything. Got it? get it? good!

          • nope a whole bunch of them, i think you need to take a page from Superpower Wiki

            otherwise its just bad writing

          • ok but if you “studied” it then you know these powers are inconsistent. The rules change depending on the story and universe. Fusion in DBZ is pretty different from fusion in Steven Universe for example

          • T_T is it….
you dance and meld with the partner, the only difference is how the powers react

          • i’m not saying they do, i’m saying they have limits and regulations regardless of fiction or universe

          • I feel like you’re thinking of only superhero superpowers that exist in our Universe, e.g.: Marvel DC stuff….

Im not…. at all…. I’m in a whole other genre entirely, maybe thats what you don’t understand but you sound pretty ridiculous if you do get that…

Like in harry potter, magic works a hell of a lot differently than it does in LOTR and they defy science and these “rules” you think they need to follow…

Im on page 364, you’re on page 5… of a different book

          • we’re never on the same page, book, or plane of existence

plenty will always say that most superpowers will have some laws and limitations and restrictions

          • Well the universe has to define the rules. Like in Steven Universe, shapeshifting drains your energy but that may not be true for something else

  4. Hmm, so I started watching Kyuranger and I’m kinda curious for anyone who does watch it. I can’t tell if its good, stupid, or stupidly amazing.

          • yet another thing we can agree on. Though really I do love how its kinda perfect in that the designs are just that right balance of cute/adorable and ugly at the same time.

          • Just little things that are just off enough that they stand out. Like the crack in the liberty bell. Things like Tohru’s tail being super thick compared to the rest of her body and not really matching her, or Kanna’s design being a clash of gothic and tribal cosplay styles. Its something that kinda unpleasant to look at, but makes the designs a lot more unique and memorable for it. Heck all the design’s sort of match it with Kobayashi’s only real feminine trait being that she has long hair, or that one kid with a shining forehead, but being a girl which is pretty uncommon. Heck even Quetzalcoatl kinda falls into this given her body proportions are kind of in line with Jessica Rabbit, yet she lives in a world such a body shape shouldn’t exist.

          • I mean that by making them imperfect they look a lot better. But yeah, looking like generic humans would be pretty boring.

  5. Whelp the Power Rangers movie was incredibly dope. I’m happy they didn’t kill my childhood with an ugly stick. lol anyway I had a very enjoyable time watching it!

    • That’s good to hear. reviews seem kinda mixed on it, and personally I’ve seen enough from it to know its not for me, but great to hear you enjoyed it.

      Reply
      • The thing is I think the major critics are looking at it too much like a regular movie. To enjoy it I think you have to be a real fan of the Mighty Morphin seasons. It’s not going to be for anyone looking for a serious “edgy” Power Rangers. It’s certainly less campy than the original show, but it’ does a good job of bringing the characters and general story to the 21st century. Definitely a must see for anyone that was a fan back in the 90’s

  6. To those who care, I’ve done a lot of studying in NU. I feel like I have a grasp on what the threats will be.
(note, I’ve taken account that I feel certain mons will be banned, so I did NOT actually use those)

  7. I wish that freeze was a decent status aliment. Like you literally break out after a single turn. It was almost TOO good in gen 1 and 2 but got nerfed to being useless

  8. So Yanmega is NU in usage….. Yeaaaaaah, considering the damage it does….. that’s not exactly.. y’know…. okay
