Ash Hat Pikachu Distribution Announced

As per usual, images from this month’s CoroCoro have leaked!

The Ash Hat Pikachu that was first revealed to the public via the Pokémon Sun & Moon datamine, has officially been announced for distribution! As many have theorized, Ash Hat Pikachu will be the bonus when you pre-book a ticket in Japan for Pokémon the Movie 20: I Choose You!

  • Original Cap Pikachu can be obtained from April 15th-May 1st and July 19th-July 31st
  • Hoenn Cap Pikachu from May 3rd-May 15th and August 2nd-August 14th
  • Sinnoh Cap Pikachu from May 17th-May 29th and August 16th-August 28th
  • Unova Cap Pikachu from May 31st-June 12th and August 30th-September 11th
  • Kalos Cap Pikachu from June 14th-June 26th and September 13th-25th
  • Alola Cap Pikachu from September 27th-October 9th and September 13th-September 25th

Along with the Ash Hat Pikachu, there will be a serial code given out that will unlock the Pikashunium Z Crystal. Giving you access to the exclusive Pikachu Z-Move: 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt!

      • Idk, Serebii says “you can only redeem a pre-booking ticket serial code once” and since the different hats are being distributed during different days, I imagine you have to choose the time period to redeem your code

  6. Remember when we were all speculating on why these were in the game after the demo datamine? There were theories about Ash coming into the canon, and theories about a logical explanation as to why, but NOPE. They’re just being plopped into the game with no explanation whatsoever it seems.

    I really miss the days of the events of Gen 4.

    • The Shaymin and Darkrai events were truly exciting to me as a kid. Arceus as well I guess, but you had to cheat for that. They actually felt mythical. I’m sure the Diamond and Pearl remakes will take that element away, just like ORAS did.

  7. Off topic, do you think the DLC storyline for BotW will be a large sidequest type thing or a Majora’s Mask situation, but smaller? To put it this way, do you think it’ll be a new story reusing BotW’s assets and such or will it just be a sidequest done from your file itself?

    • I really can’t think of any aspect of the story that can be built upon. It does a good job rounding itself out, at least to the point I’ve played to. Maybe they’ll add a new mission at each of the four main locations and prevent Vaati from resurrecting or something.

      • Maybe the story takes place after the main story, where you play as Princess Zelda or a co-op adventure with her. One of their goals in the beginning was challenging the convention of playing alone and the demand to play with a female character is quite high.

  8. So Lapis got some attention in last nights episode…but I feel like they totally did not give her resolution that felt needed to happen. And then they just undid everything she was upset about when ruby actually turned out to be evil. Ugh…so she went no where again

  10. Yes, finally. Pikachu is my favourite Pokeman. I love it so much and now it has Ash’s hat. Soo cute. Ash is so strong and determined. He is an idol for many kids. They are combining two best things Pokeman series ever created: Ash and Pikachu. I need to collect every one of them.

  11. Well I’ve finally gotten my ideas together

    Astral & Stellar will be based on a few states in America (So far apart of this group Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Minnesota and Nevada more may appear)

    And I have more new Pokémon too for it
    An Axolotl, an Ice/Water Otter, a new Bat Pokémon based on a Bumblebee bat and a Rock/Electric fossil based on Brontotherium

  14. Im thoroughly shocked they have changed to international releases, yet they still cant do international events. I honestly think it’s because they dont feel like it, or they think Japan deserves more stuff. Granted these will come to West because they would never do form events only for Japan in this day in age, but why cant they just make them worldwide releases. Gamefreak loves making us play the guessing game.

  15. Regarding the 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt: The highest commercially used voltage in power transmission is 1,000 kV. If you come near that in a range of tens of meters, you’re zapped to death. This if Pikachu would use the move with 10,000 kV everyone within a radius of 50 meters is just plain dead. Use at your own risk. Source: I’m an engineer.

  17. so i truly hate to admit it but after playing Breath of the Wild for 9 days the magic is wearing off
    Breath of the wild truly has fulfilled a gap in my life but now that i basically trekked most of the best locations
    so all i can truly do is hunt down the last of the shrines and upgrade gear, i just wish they rolled out with the virtual consoles

    • This is exactly why I want to take my time with the game. I don’t have anything I’m looking forward to for a while so I want to make it last.

    • I still enjoy playing the game, but I agree, playing the game for 10 hours a day won’t happen again. And I didn’t even beat all of the dungeons or the main story. There’s still a lot that I have to see, but I’ll do it at my own pace.

      A new game would be nice, yes. Luckily I have my PS4 for Persona 5 and Horizon, but it’s still a long ride before Mario Kart 8D drops.

      • Can’t wait to see Persona 5 and see how it improves upon 4 and hopefully re-balances a lot of the issues with Golden. But yeah, hopefully we’ll see Some Indie’s and the VC show up before too long.

      • you’re right eevee is better BUT PIKACHU IS BEST HAHAHAHAHA…….no eevee is 100000000000000000 times better it can actually evolve into different pokemon but PIKACHU is (i guess) 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 time better for some reason.

  22. I’ve just realized that I’ve never been to this one single location ever in Pokemon: Challenger’s Cave. The reason why is because I looked over it in Black 2, and in my first Black, I wasn’t able to get in because I was stuck at the E4. So this is very weird, considering I have 0 knowledge of the cave.

  23. Also i harbor another Switch related dilemma
    i really want to buy games for the Switch and stuff for the switch, but there’s honestly nothing out right now, i just feel that i want more just to fill a gaping hole in my spectrum
    nothing good isn’t coming out for a while and things just are moving slow, at least waiting for the switch fueled a drive to look forward to it

      • oh please my wallet has been fat for months
        i never spend more than 50 bucks a month and i’ve been saving cash for the next big ticket console since 2011 and never once used that cash

        I just want a nice collection of games for the switch, also they better freaking patch the Save mechanics on these games because without card based saves states if your Switch dies or gets stolen Zrrt that’s it it’s gone forever

        Also Virtual console games including N64, Gamecube and Wii titles if i could name a few…

        • Yeah my interest in VC is a fairly low point. There’s not much I’d really want to see on Switch that I couldn’t get on other platforms or haven’t played yet. I’m more interested in seeing Stardew Valley, Terraria and possibly Minecraft on the Switch.
