Three brand new TCG products have just been revealed, being the Legacy Evolution Pin Collection, Legendary Battle Decks (Ho-oh & Lugia) and the Collector’s Pin 3-Packs (Entei, Raikou, or Suicune). The Legacy Evolution Pin Collection will include a Steelix EX, 5 foil cards (Slowking, Politoed, Blissey, Crobat, and Bellossom), 5 Booster Packs, a Crobat pin, and a code card for the TCGO. Picking up either of the decks will net you a standard 60 cards along with a metallic coin, play mat and damage counters. The Collector’s Pin 3-Packs come with 3 Booster Packs and a pin based on which blister you chose. No mention of a TCGO card in the blisters.
It should be noted that the Steelix EX is a direct reprint from Steam Siege as we’ve seen in various other boxes such as the Gengar or Charizard EX boxes. Also, the TCG packs shown in the picture are very likely to change as most reveal pictures do not match the actual product.
All three are set for release in May, with the Legacy Evolution and Collector’s Pin packs being slated for the 5th.

I wouldn’t really call him edgy. He’s a guy wearing more or less Chinese clothing with a little edgy gear as the game will allow. Heck the edgiest thing about him is that spear on his back that got cropped. My precious BIS weapon that was made obsolete 9 days after it was released.
But yeah I’m not much into rp stuff with my characters. I kinda just stick with the cannon stuff with the game, which more or less is that he’s really good at killing people with a pointy stick, and really good at keeping the floor warm.
Also to add on to the edge comment, in FF14, true end game is making the best outfit you can no matter how silly or serious it is since you can give any gear the appearance of something else.

What you said makes no sense whatsoever. Since when does a pokémon have to be fast to use Close Combat? Why would the scales also affect its ability to use CC? Have you seen how Kommo-o moves in-game? If you take a look at the list of pokémon which can learn CC, there’s Hariyama, Crabominable which are slow as shit and also Heracross and Pinsir which have exoskeletons, which by your logic, should also make them unable to use the move, yet that’s not the case. And I’m not even going to talk about all the Quadrupedal pokémon that learn the move (and Staraptor which apparently can beat someone’s ass with its wings). If all those mons learn the move, then Kommo-o should also learn it.

Your a funny man, you know that earthen. You are. Sonic’s 3d games have been on the rise since Unleashed getting better pretty much with every entry in some aspect and generations was great. An adventure game would be garbage by todays standards since adventure wasn’t that good to begin with. You had sonic who would fly off the stage half the time, knuckles flying around for 20 minutes to find hidden things, tails as a low budget racing game, Amy who has some of the worst survival horror gameplay ever, Big the Cat fishing simulator and a crappy third person shooter with a robot that nobody cared about with a crappy timer system. Adventure 2 tried to cut out the fluff, but it wasn’t really better. People like the sonic gameplay more then anything, and continuing to improve upon that is for the best.

For its time it was good, but it hasn’t aged well at all if you go back and try to play it. Really the only good levels were Sonic’s, and those are what pretty much all modern 3d sonic games are at this point.

People would love it because its convenient and can work easily on a phone, but Its Nintendo. Nintendo does what’s best for them over the consumer in almost every case, and having a game that can easily be ripped from a phone, placed online and easily pirated across the world isn’t in their interest.

Yeah you can, but that’s a bit of a messy issue. Older games can still be played via roms, and I’m not going to argue the legality of it. However pretty much every supported console, and even last gen has proven to be too hard to create an emulator for. Heck, we don’t even have a really stable version of a 3DS emulator at this time. hackers have kinda given up on them at this point, which is a win for Nintendo. So it seems like releasing a new pokemon game on a phone wouldn’t be a great idea for them in general.
But yeah, old games people certainly could figure out how to emulate after jumping through several hoops to do so for a game they’ll probably play for a few hours before deleting it.

Actually in all legitimacy, I feel pretty uncomfortable right now because I read a disturbing as shit fanfic….. why does the internet need to be this bad?
Honestly, there’s a number of reasons. The internet is a free market place allowing for people to express all of their idea, both good and bad. As well it serves as a good place for people to test out ideas and improve their craft. A lot of my writing friends have helped me shape my craft and I started off effectively writing bad fanfic on GaiaOnline like 12 years ago. And in an extreme sense, and perhaps a bit graphic for my taste, it could be the outlit logic. That people need to let these crazy thoughts get out of their head into something, otherwise they would do something kinda crazy in the real world. Like, when I said a bit graphic, its like the logic of some of the really creepy Dojinshi/hentai out of Japan that largely serves to help the people they see as mentally ill and could could go out and commit sexual crimes by curving that urge and has resulted in the nation having incredibly low rates of sexual based crimes. But that last one’s a bit of a stretch without knowing context.

It could be someone trying to cope with their own abuse. Or perhaps someone who wants to help children who are abused. Or it could just be a crappy writer. Don’t read to much into it. If you can’t enjoy something, don’t make yourself suffer through it. Heck the only story I can think of that actually is worth suffering through is ‘That dragon Cancer’, and even I can’t put myself through that ball of emotion. Far too much pain there for me.

I can understand the appeal of seeing a burning heap of metal and death, but just try not to sink into despair from it.
As for the story I mentioned, I do suggest it. It was an indie game created by a couple who were trying to fight their sons cancer, and making a game to tell the their story struggling with him through it. It was intended to end on a happy note with him being cancer free, as it seemed like he was. But sadly in reality the boy had a quick and sudden turn for the worse, and died, and thus the game reflects that. I lost my grandfather to cancer, and my father was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago. The thought of seeing what it did to my grandfather, and what it may one day do to my father terrifies me in a way that text could never express.

Actually we’re both sort of right. Apparently the barrier was not up to code, but they had actually passed inspection for it earlier in the year. So, on one hand, they probably should have been more careful and had better measures, but on the other hand, the administration needs better standards. Sorry. But they actually are completely redoing their gorilla exhibits now.

Great. Now the theiving mobile game companies aren’t just stealing Pokemon footage. I just got a YouTube ad for something like “sword of fantasy” or something, and it was literally just the first 30 seconds of the BotW switch presentation trailer. As soon as the master sword was shown, they just plastered on their logo and that’s it. Probably took them all of 2 minutes.

Nintendo shuts down fan games that are basically a love letter to the franchise, but I’ve been seeing the same Pokemon ripoff ads for like 6 months now. It’s infuriating.
yeah like i saw one that was called monster fighter and they used the x y models of pokemon in their trailer.
Things like this take time and kinda depend on their legality. Like for example if a mobile game did call itself pokemon and had pikachu right on the front of that; it could be taken down as soon as their made aware of that. However a rip off of it called ball monsters with an electric hedgehog on the cover couldn’t be because Nintendo can’t claim ownership of an idea.
Also it just comes down to whether or not they know of it, and it even gets messier when its coming from a different country. Remember most of the things that result in shutting down things From Nintendo come from NOJ, where you have to aggressively defend your products. A lot of rip-off’s come from china or Korea where taking them down is a little hard to do.

So in other news it seems that Nintendo’s doubling their production of switches from 8 mil, to 16 mil with the next batch coming out in mid April according to the WSJ. SO good for people who still need there’s and hopefully won’t have the small chance of problems that some have had.

Its hard to say since we probably won’t get official numbers for a long time, but we know it generally sold very well across NA, EU and JP. Enough that they themselves are very surprised at how well its going.
I’m suprised it sold well in EU. I heard the retailers were marking it up way too high because there was no MSRP. But maybe that all evened itself out and I’m not aware.
I hope they increase the production rate of the Pro Controller as well. I ordered as soon as I was able too but it still sold out sadly. So now I have to wait a couple of weeks.

While I won’t say I outright hate them, my least favourite Generations in terms of Pokemon introduced are Gen 2 and 4.
My favourites are Gen 3 and 5 equally followed closely by 1, 6 then 7
I think all gens have good and bad ones. That said, gen 2 has the weakest designs, imo. Gen 4 had to step in and make like half of them memorable

I’ve noticed something recently… WTF did GF do with Alola because they used Alchemy when they could’ve done Astrology
Because think Sun version= Solgaleo, Leo in Constellations is the ruler of the sun, and they could have made a Fire/Psychic Lion to show this, but no they went to Alchemy
This also could have opened up use of how Lunala could have been based on Cancer the crab ruler of the Moon and made Water/Psychic that would balance out the Sun v.s. the Moon
Which also could have made Marshadow (as much as I like it) into Scorpio ruler of Mars which could make total sense
Then make the UB’s instead of the deadly sins instead the other 9 Zodiac’s which would be sooo awesome!

I thought he was very good, really seemed to be into it, probably the best one. LeFou was also good and the two played well off of each other. Gastons song is extended I think. The animated one is kinda hard to live up to but he does a pretty great job. Funny thing, there is one one instance with LeFou that could be considered overtly gay and that is why the film is an 18 in Russia.

I got an idea for a legendary duo I’m doing that roams around the region post-game. They would be called the Restoration duo, and each of them have powers to heal nature as well as balance it. I’ll tell more about them tomorrow, but I will say this: one represents fertility, and the other one represents purification.

It’s way OP unless the damage is pitiful. And even then if it breaks Sash and Sturdy of ‘mon not even sent out it is too much imo.

It could maybe not affect those with Sash and Sturdy? And maybe lower it to 5%. This at least fixes it a bit. It really depends on the strengths of the Pokemon using it.
The only thing is that that does WAY too little now… the mon is strong, but it’s meant to have a really menacing and threatening ability with team spread properties. Besides, Hazards break rocks too and the damage it does has a random target.. but I dunno.. it’s a hard ability to balance…
But it’s a pokemon based on the bad egg… I’m struggling to get an abilitty

The best part of making fanmade starters is the fact that your favorite one isn’t going to be the only one chosen, and even the pokemon of yours you don’t love as much as the others will still be loved by somebody else

Here’s a strategy, lower HP mons are scary for this. The damage it does is based on the actual amount of damage it did, not health percentage. A mon with a higher HP stat will cause more damage its team than one with a lower one

Although they are the resurrection of a sort of canine, considering its said they are the reincarnation of the eeveelutions, but if you don’t go by that, in the anime episode in origins the unknown pokemon that they were resurrected from are most certainly dogs, not cats, so even though they may not look like dogs now, they were once dogs.

Last day of spring break tomorrow. . . I gotta say, it’s pretty depressing. Though I guess there’s nothing new there. I’m especially not looking forward to Monday because I signed up for a Sm4sh tourney like 2 months ago, and I’m just now getting to play my first match. I practiced a ton after I signed up, but since BotW came out I haven’t even touched the game. I’m really afraid I’m going to let down my partner, I don’t want to eliminate him just because I haven’t practiced. Ugh.

And yeah that’s kind of the general tone of a lot of games right now. I’m still really concerned/miffed at Fire emblem Echoes.
What’s wrong with it again? I’m hyped for it, I’ve never played FE2. I know it’s quite controversial in the FE fandom, and I know it won’t exactly appeal to a majority of the 3DS FE fans, but it seems fun regardless. I’m just hoping FE16 is as creative as Fates. The choice aspect was a pretty awesome idea, I’m hoping they can keep up the story creativity with FE16 (the premise was creative at least. I know the actual story wasn’t the best. If that makes sense).
Ehh there’s a number of reasons really. But I’ll try to list them off so their a little easier on the eyes.
1. Gaiden plays more like a tactical RPG then a strategy game, having very little in common with any other game with all units having a default weapon and the only thing you can equip is a generic item slot which could hold anything from a weapon, a shield, a ring, or almost anything else.
2. There are like 10 music tracks in the entire game. It was an NES game so that’s understandable, but that’s really going to suck if that holds true.
3. There is no sense of balance between classes. Archers and soldiers are really bad, where mercenaries and mages nearly break the game(mercenaries more so because they eventually become demonfighters, that brokenly powerful DLC class you see in Awakening and Fates that looks sort of like a Ninja with a Katana on its back).
4. The map design is really bad in Gaiden. Like the vast majority of maps are just green squares or rectangles with little in them.
5. This is a small one, but stat gains are really bad in this game. Like a good level up is 3 stats increased. You are guaranteed 1 will go up every time, but that’s not much. Assuming growth’s will be the same, there is only one character in the entire game that has over 50% in one stat. Average for most is around 20-30%. So get use to having low stats for the majority of the game.
6. To make up for the low stats, when promoting your characters stats are risen to a preset default stats of their class, meaning its always best to class change as soon as possible with characters, which you can do for your first characters as soon as they hit level 3.
7. A lot of those items I mentioned before are insanely broken. Like there is a ring that grants +40 luck, or a shield that gives+40 defense. Like flat numbers to your stats. The games not known for its balance.
8. A really small thing, but I still don’t like it is that all attacks deal 1 damage a min, so you can’t wall off a bridge with a knight and hope to stall out the enemy or anything.
All of that said though I really do like the new ideas there trying. The VA’s are great and it sounds so natural with having the game fully voice acted. The new dungeon design is much better then what it was in Gaiden and looks really fun, and the game has some sort of support system, but hasn’t shown off any of it making me concerned its going to be really basic like having generic conversations about having heir back in battle and not fleshing out characters.
Really I guess what I’m kinda concerned about is that their pulling a shadow dragon and trying to add new features to the game, but missing out on the point that features aren’t enough. FE12 on the other hand not only added a player character to it, but also an entirely new side story focused around them and worked really well because of it, making it feel like an entirely new game. The most we’ve scene with Echoes is that it has a new villain that might join your team at some point, but that’s not really much, and that has me concerned. I know this game is probably a test to see if people want to replay the old games as remakes, but it seems like their putting in almost no effort to it. Like pokemon at least tried new mechanics, applied the current battle system and tried to fix the mistakes of previous games when they make their remakes. This just feels really shallow to me is all and I kinda hate seeing something that I feel will probably end up getting mediocre reviews because not enough effort was put into something by a team that can do great things.

I understand your concerns, and you certainly seem to know more about Gaiden than I do (heck, I barely know anything about it), but I’m hoping that since it’s a “reimagining” and not just a “remake” that means they’ll fix a lot of issues as well as adding content. Only time will tell, it won’t be long now.
Side note: we need a direct soon. Like we need info on Echoes and ARMS. As well as maybe a firmware update for the switch with a few things. I guess they could also detail VC, but who knows. Maybe they’ll wait till E3 for that.

I really wish they invented a new physical contact Flying Move that Aerodactyl could use
Because all it gets is Aerial Ace or Wing attack as its direct flying Stab, I mean after STAB BP and Touch Claws it should be pretty good, but it could be better

We all know they messed up a lot of pokemon gen 7 due to speed. One pokemon I want to mention is Lurantis. Honestly I thought Lurantis was gonna be this cool Big Sun Sweeping Pokemon (Totem Trial made it seem like it), but Lurantis came out to this below average contrary sweeper (with Special Attack being only 80. It’s such a situational mon to the point where it isnt even fun, and it has such a cool design. So I will try to update this pokemon and provide it with better stats to be the sweeping mon it was meant to be.

“Um Cascoon why are you NOT giving it any speed boosts?? This literally the problem with every Alola Pokemon.” Ah good question, myself. It doesn’t need the speed boost. Max speed+Cholorphyll makes it’s speed to be 212. This means it outspeeds everything with base 140 or lower (non scarved). This allows it to Wreck more the meta, and with powerful Solar Blade, and new and improved 125 attack, many things wont be living this thing. Before any of you compain “That just makes it a trick pony” (which is a stupid complaint in the first place) Nope, two tricks!

The people themselves felt as if they were living in a complete nightmare, so they gave up their faith in the world.
Xerneas, a legendary from Kalos, sensed this brutality Selos was facing. Seeing how Selos was in a dire situation, Xerneas bore 3 life-forms from it’s seven-colored horns: Baressence, Resiphyr, and Delespirit. These Pokemon were then sent to the region to restore it to its former, beautiful state. Baressence gave new life to nature, Resiphyr cleanse the winds and water of diseases, and Delespirit healed the spirits of the depressed. The trio were successful in restoration, which gave new way to the Age of Rebirth for Selos.
These Pokemon have long been honored as the heroes of Selos, which many shrines have been dedicated to them across the region. They became known as the “Children of Xerneas”. Ever since the Age of Rebirth, the trio have been there in dire pandemics, constantly healing the region. But for the past 1900 years, the trio have mysteriously vanished, with not a single sight of one member has been found. People long for the return of these benevolent Pokemon.
Despite their disappearances, the Children of Xerneas will return…
That is part 1 of this trio. I will post another comment about their typings, abilities, and stats. For now, discuss about your feelings of the trio!

Huh. Kind of a small thing that doesn’t really matter, but its been confirmed now that the Switch uses as Standard Tegra chip, not a custom like was rumored. This generally means that the switch has the same graphical capabilities of the Shield, though spec wise it is superior in nearly every way. Just a small thing to bring up.

Exactly. Though, I’m not even that suprised. The teacher is notorious for bad communication (ex: he often doesn’t assign HW until after everyone has gone home, he often only tells one class about a test and assumed word will travel, etc.), but I’m annoyed nonetheless. I’m just glad I only have another quarter, some people have him next year as well.

Personally I think it won’t happen. Mario Maker was one thing, that’s a platformer, but I don’t think they could ever have a game where people make their own Zelda dungeons.

Sure, but it seems too. . . for lack of a better word, chaotic, to do. I feel like it just wouldn’t be as fun to play other people’s maps as it was in Mario Maker. I think they’d all just be gauntlets of octoroks, and sure, Mario Maker had some pretty bad level design, but I think Zelda Maker would lack variety even more.
If that even makes sense, I feel like I’m rambling at this point.

I have a serious question: why do people say 3rd party support is so crucial to a console launch, and yet the Wii U had a horrible launch despite having many AAA games such as Mass Effect and Assassin’s Creed? Okay, I know Nintendo failed in many aspects of the launch such as advertising, but I often hear people say that if they could get a console with Nintendo exclusives and the big AAA third party games, they’d buy it in a heartbeat. But clearly that didn’t happen. I’m not sure I’m being clear in what I’m asking, so I hope that makes sense.

honestly people buy nintendo consoles for their first party games, first and foremost, the big selling 3rd party games at launch if I remember correctly were already out on the other consoles so people already had them unless they owned a nintendo console only, in which case they might stick to what they know they like instead of buying a 3rd party game they might not like. Take the switch for example, hell yes its exciting its getting Skyrim but it would have been a lot more monumental if the remaster was released on all consoles at the same time, but the switch wasnt out yet. However with the switch its portable which ups the selling point because people like myself would rather play portable then sit in front of a TV which is why the switch has a chance at selling 3rd party games where the wii u did not
I keep hearing people be optimistic about the 3rd party support, and I really want to join in. But if I’m being honest, many many third parties don’t seem to even consider the switch. I’ve been hearing stories left and right about developers saying they won’t bring their games to the system, and I haven’t heard of any new AAA third party games other than sports titles. But I suppose if the console sells well enough they’ll come. . .
Side note: it’s annoying how some devs are pricing their games higher on switch. If people don’t buy it, they’ll assume switchers don’t want their games. If they do buy it, it’ll encourage other devs to price their games higher on switch as well.

a better idea would to make it either a Fire/Water type or painfully a Water/Rock type where its shell becomes pumice which is buoyant rocks created from underwater magma vents causing lava to become porous and rise

I think actually the regional Lickitung could work. If we take original Licky as being based on a Blue-tongued skink. It would need to be quadrupedal imo and needs to be somewhat ambiguous as to what it is based on like Lickitung. You also need to think ahead to Lickilicky. It’s got to resemble the originals significantly enough yet vary enough also.

That works for me. It is an adaptation to a new unfamiliar environment, a change to its diet that is out of necessity, I like it. The design itself is ultimately up to Kurusu though.

– The gap between the first and second badge is painful.
– Western Kalos in general actually.

– The story kinda sucked. I wish that you found Xerneas in a pretty forest like in the announcement trailer.
– Diantha has a great design but is underused.
its been so long that it really boils down to what I remember, most are ascetic some are not. For Sinnoh I really disliked:
-Female Protagonists design (Lucas is my fav male protagonist though)
-Barry’s hair
-That awful expanse where you have to use defog in the mountains and keep getting hit with battle after battle after battle.
-The snail pace battles
-The evil team, their designs, their motives, literally everything about them is garbage to me.
-While I love the regions pokemon, its starters are the worst starters in the history of pokemon for me and I hate them all equally with the exception of chimchar, I like its first stage only.
-The overall pacing of the game and layout is very confusing and there are many times you’re left wandering around trying to figure out where exactly you are supposed to be or how to advance to the next location.
-It gave us Lucario.
-Cynthia is the worst champion in my opinion and her entire outfit offends me.
– They gave us rypherior…
-The gym leaders are all very forgettable compared to the rest of the series, to me at least.

seems a bit much, but yes more type combos and dexs the size of Kanto and Hoenn are a must

– I don’t like the dex much but that’s just because I like the simple BW one with all new pokemon. There is nothing wrong with B2W2’s dex

I did 4 just in case, used traded Pokemon, the best of which was a Mimikyu that helped me win twice.
I wanted to use Mimikyu but it wasnt ready in time so i used Lycanroc instead. Stealth rock helped me a lot though
Mijumaru has a fairly stoic disposition, it’s not frowning because it’s sad.
Munna is NOT related to drowzee and has a powerful evolution ala Magikarp/Feebas
Giaru (Gear) has a “special relationship” to another pokemon that could be controversial. Not sure exactly what this means, but we have had Shellder/Slowbro… Remoraid/Mantine sort of stuff.
Chiramii, Hihidaruma, and Shimama do NOT evolve
Mamepato’s “Pidgeon Breast” ability is rather reflective of it’s “defensive” nature and goes along somewhat with its evolutions which are replace normal with another type. It has 2 more evolutions like most starting bird pokemon.
Meguroko’s name is actually derived from the “me” (eye in Japanese) and it becomes apparent in its evolution which features a very Egyptian-ish design for the eye.
Moguryu has two evolutions, so there is one in the middle before it evolves into Doryuuzu (the drill mole pokemon we saw earlier)
Dunchura (the tarantula) is a second stage evolution
Serufiru does NOT evolve… directly. It could be a form changing pokemon ala Rotom
Gizajemu is not related to Nosepass and he Sugimori art actually has yellow gems instead of Red, so there could be a color-changing aspect in its lore, if not in the game itself
Goshikkuro is an evolved pokemon with opposite typing
Koromori because less like the “new zubat” people have been describing it as when it evolves (I think this was just the catchall term people have been using because it’s the new bat-like pokemon, possibly something you’ll encounter early on. So this could mean that it is stronger than Zubat line or less bat-like)

I want to know your thoughts, but was there a Pokemon game that brought you back into Pokemon?
For me its a combination of Diamond and Platinum. I never ended up finishing Diamond, but due to a massive nostalgic spike in Pokemon in my high school I ended up going back and finishing it, beating Cynthia 1v1 with my Empoleon surviving a earthquake with 3 hp. That win got me to pick up platinum to try to see what changed, and I loved the game and stands as my favorite pokemon game to date.
That sounds great. Platinum was a very fun game to play through with my Infernape. I haven’t played it ever since my first time in 2009.
Diamond did. Saw my cousin playing it and was amazed at how much the series had changed since gen 1. Best decision ever.
X and Y, sort of. I went through a phase where I told myself I didn’t like Pokemon, but it only lasted a few months. As soon as XY was announced I bought my brother’s copy of White 2 from him.
That’s mostly the same exact thing that happened to me lol. The only difference was in 5th gen my love for Pokemon died down a good bit, and then when I saw XY was being made (a month after it was announced) I was convinced to play again. So in the meantime before the release date, I got myself Black 2.
I think I’ve always loved pokemon the same. I never went through a phase thinking pokemon was lame or something. Like even when I was little I liked Pokémon even though I didn’t have a game boy to play the games. Sun and Moon did help after the 2015 drought though

Finished Horizon: Zero Dawn, took me a week but it was worth it. This game is effin huge man and the main story is so, so intriguiging. There’s definitely a sequel planned, if you’ve seen the post-credits bonus scene you know what i mean (not gonna spoil it though) but overall a 9.5/10 game for me
