There hasn’t been too much to report on in the Pokémon world, but I know that won’t stop any of you lovely commenters from being able to share your latest Poké-antics!

What have you been doing during this dry spell? Catching Pokémon in Sun & Moon? Creating a living ‘dex in Pokémon Bank? Replaying old titles or catching creatures from the first two generations in GO?

  1. I’m running a Pokemon Sun/Moon Midseason Showdown at the Tupelo, MS Comic Con on April 1st! Been planning it for a few months so I’m super excited to see how much turnout I’ll have for it!!

  2. I’ve been filling my time with Breath of the Wild and the Switch in general, Yooka-Laylee starts in 3 weeks and that hopefully will keep me busy until Splat2 or Arms surfaces or some kinda Switch stuff

    Otherwise it’s just mulling over a lack of stuff to keep my pitiful existence fruitful

    I want to take a trip to NYC to load up on switch stuff and invest in a side hobby, all until E3

  4. It’s a mix of playing Zelda, studying and doing stuff with friends. Waiting for Stars before I play some more Pokémon.

    • Why does everyone think Stars is real, y’alls are stupid to think that fake rumor is actually true

      It has zero credibility nor facts backing it, it was a random fake rumor almost as idiotic as that Pokemon Plus and Minus and yet thousands of pea brains still think it’s gonna happen

      Same happened with Gray, Z, Delta Emerald and now Stars

      • It was outed by Eurogamer, LKD and Emily Rogers before the reveal of the Switch. They did not get everything 100% right but they are a reliable source. Stuff can change or be misinterpreted during development, but I’m sure some sort of Nintendo Switch Pokémon is on the way.

        • Bah, I still don’t think mainseries Pokemon games are hitting the switch just yet, it’s possible but unlikely at this time, I still think they’re gonna pull a ORAS for the next game most likely Kanto

  6. Well I’ve been exploring the post-game of Black (a little bit each day), which I’m really enjoying the amount to do. Like it’s taking a good bit to get to all the towns, plus I haven’t done legendaries, Cynthia, the Seven Sages, all of Challenger’s Cave, Volcarona, and rechallenging the E4.

  10. Still trying to breed my Shiny Salandit. The game is mocking me, I caught a Shiny Mudbray yesterday, Timid with Own Tempo. I mean it’s fine as a ‘trophy’ I guess.

    Does anyone know if I can still do the Swap Method with a random foreign Male Magikarp? I feel like they’ll breed faster.

  12. My last fantasy related thing, but how believable would a “Interfacet Gem” be?
    A magical sentient jewel that is basically a Fantasy Smartphone or inventory AI?

    Like it could
    -records your body vitals (Stats)
    -keep notes of your possessions (Inventory)
    -reminds you of what you’re doing (Quests/Objectives)

    And every so often you meet Sages or Wizards who develop new spells compatible with the Gem to increase its usage
    -maps
    -monster encyclopedia
    -Sensor

  14. Hello everybody this is my first day in pokejungle so I wanted to post something special. Here is the regional form of Golbat which has the Ice/Poison typing and the abilities Levitate or Instinct (New ability that prevents Golbat of being speed and accuracy reduced.)
    What do you guys think:

  38. No Pokemon for me, just BotW and stress.

    Pokemon related, I’m beginning to doubt that the next Pokemon game is releasing this year. Not because we haven’t had an announcement yet, but just some gut feeling is telling me it’ll be another spring release. That and, if it is indeed on Switch, a mid-generation system change might take a little longer, at least I’d think.

    • It honestly wasn’t that close, you had that win the second comfey died. Nothing would have lived because Drampa hits like a truck, and losing Comfey that early basically cost me the game.
      I played pretty bad tbh

      Though this is double elimination, so I’ll keep this loss in mind

  59. (Still not back, just dropped by to say I’ve just done the mystery gift for the Mewtwonite and realised I haven’t actually touched Pokemon since the 12th of January (39 days). In over a a decade of games, that’s a genuine first.)

      • Normally I at least try to IV breed or do the battle facilities, but nope.

        Also I cba to do the national dex stuff because I don’t like that you have to pay to transfer Pokemon.

        *grows beard* Back in my day you didn’t have to pay to migrate your Pokemon.

    I’ve been a lurker for a very long time but just decided to make an account to share something. I don’t know what everyone likes to do outside of gaming, but if anyone cares to pick up a good book in the interlude between Pokemon news, Brandon Sanderson is an amazing author to start with. On March 23-24 his publishing company Tor is releasing Way of Kings (one of, I think, the greatest epic fantasies of our time) as free ebook here: http://www.tor.com/2017/03/20/march-2017-free-download-way-of-kings/
    I think that if anyone is looking for something to do, and is a fan of Lord-of-the-Rings-esque epic fantasy, they should give this book a try. It’s part of a whole “universe” Sanderson calls “The cosmere” which is full of really cool stuff and all his books take place there. If anyone is more interested I would love to talk more about it, I am a huge fan 🙂

    I’m glad this finally gave me an excuse to make an account! I hope to be more involved in the future, you may not know it but you all have given me many a laugh over the past year and a half or so XD
