Pokkén Tournament Confirmed for World Championships, Switch Version Coming?

The big confirmed news of the day is that Pokkén Tournament will be returning to the Pokémon World Championships 2017. It was noticeably absent from the schedule that was first announced for Worlds, but Japanese sources have confirmed that the fighting game will be returning again this year according to Serebii.

Various tuning tweaks are slated to go live for the arcade version in Japan on Tuesday, but the Wii U version remains noticeably behind. The console version even lacks playable characters that have been available to arcade players for months. Fans will hopefully see an update, but nothing official has been announced.

One interesting prospect raised by presence of Pokkén Tournament at Worlds is the possibility that it will be re-released for the new Nintendo Switch console. With Wii U production officially ended it wouldn’t necessarily make sense to promote a game for a dead console. It seems likely that the title will see a port which may include the features and updates that the Wii U version currently lacks. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for news on the matter!

  2. Hang on, no. It is amazing that Game Freak is so lazy that they literally made an area called “Cave of Emptiness” and only put a mega stone there. That’s it. No secret entrance… nothing

Can they just re-do X and Y? Put Xerneas in a beautiful forest filled with fairy types and Yveltal in some Pokémon tower – esc place

  3. I’m not going to tell you I’m lonely, because that’d be too cliche for Valentine’s day.

    I’m not gonna do it.

    Still not gonna do it.

  4. I had the weirdest dream last night about the next Pokemon games, but it was an awesome idea for the next games:

Basically, it was like a Nintendo Direct or something, and they went to the Pokemon section of the direct. They showcased XY first, then ORAS, and then SM. After that, they presented the next games, which a green “Z” took shape on the screen, with the Pokemon logo following.

Apparently in this dream, Pokemon Z was actually the culmination of the past 3 games, with each game was leading up to Pokemon Z. Kinda like Phase 1 of Marvel, with the movies being the basis for the Avengers.

It would be great for something like that to happen, with the past 3 games we’ve been getting is part of a saga leading up to Z.

    • Don’t know, if I knew how to do it I might be able to share mine with you, though it is recommended by someone else. I don’t know how it works :/

    • You can do the SR method.
Level up DONT GO INSIDE THE BUILDING
Get enough FC to be 1or2 points away from leveling up.
      Complete a WT.
      Go out plaza and save
      6. Go in plaza (you should get a congrats for leveling up and the facility will be the same!)
Talk to the trainer that you traded with to receive the FC to level up
LEvel up again and this time the facility will be different.
If not facility you want reset and repeat 6-8

  6. I like how P-Don is still a massive boss in Ubers. It literally has its own rank of S+ in the tier, which is above S where Xerneas and Mega Gengar are.

Also this Gens mascot haven’t had nearly as much impact on the Ubers metagame as last Gens ones did. They are seriously bad, from their abilities, to their stats and rubbish movepools.
