Pokémon GO is about to get even bigger!
It has been announced that Pokémon GO is set to receive a huge update later this week with a ton of new content.
- New Pokémon: over 80 new Pokémon from the John region will soon begin appearing in the game
- New Evolutions: some Kanto Pokémon will be able to evolve into new Pokémon using new items that trainers can find at PokéStops
- New Encounter Gameplay: several new encounter actions for Pokémon have been added, meaning they may react differently than before! Items can now also be selected in the capture screen using the new item carousel
- New Berries: two new berries will be added to the game both bringing new benefits to trainers who use them. The Nanab Berry will slow the Pokémon it is given too, making it easier to catch, whilst the Pinap Berry will double the amount of candy you receive if you successfully capture the Pokémon in your next turn
- New avatars and wardrobe items: finally players will be able to give their avatar a completely new look with an expanded selection of hats, shirts, pants and more!
It’s been a long time coming, but it’s almost finally time to catch those Johto Pokémon! Who’s excited?!

It’s too small of a generation and added a bunch of useless mons (stantler, delibird, qwilfish, sunflora, dunsparce, etc) that are just horrible and deserve some attention from gamefreak. Then it’s even worse when you factor in how awful it would’ve been if Gen 4 didn’t right a lot of the wrongs from gens 1 and 2.

Whelp I’m suddenly more interested in the game again. I won’t lie I’m probably one of few that still check into GO every so often to try and catch a few Pokemon here and there hoping that I can get something I don’t have yet. I think the number one reason I stopped playing a lot was the weather tho rather than the lack of updates. People like to joke around about the idea of people still playing it, but honestly it makes sense less people would be playing it around this time of the year. In my case for instance I can’t say Winter is the best time of year to go on frequent walks. There’s snow everywhere most of the time and when there isn’t it’s still pretty cold out in general. I go to work and that involves a lot of walking around, but that’s work and I’m confined to a specific area that I can’t leave. Plus I can’t just have my phone out all the time when there lol Once nice weather hits again I’ll probably go on long walks again and that’s really when Pokemon GO shines. During decent weather.

It’s just hard to want to do it when it’s so cold out and half the time there’s snow and slush in the way…….lol

Good news. TPCi actually wants to distribute all missing Mega Stones until Summer (to all players, not just the ones who participate in online competitions). Nice to know they’re handling the issue. Now I might actually start to transfer my mons to Sun/Moon.
That’s good at least, but I still find the online competition getting the mega stones early as kind of stupid. Why can’t they just distribute the Pokemon and the Megastone together? (Like Magearna and the bottle cap). It makes the most sense to me to do this.

Toxinin (Toxin + Ronin)
Poison/Steel type
The Warrior Pokemon
Ablity: Destinied-He’s only super effective on Fairy and Dragon types and he is 4x weak to normal, grass, fire and water.
Toxinin were created to kill mythical fairy and dragon type pokemon. They are usually very depressed and are very difficult to train because of their lone wolf lifestyle.

Just hatched a shiny Pichu. And I wasn’t even trying to get one, but it took less than 30 eggs.
It’s pretty much flawless in IVs but I’m not going to use it for anything because what I was trying to hatch was a male Pichu with HP Ice. This shiny is female and has no HP Ice.
Also, don’t know if I should evolve it into Alolan Raichu or wait until we get a game where we can evolve into regular Raichu. Alolan Raichu looks like it spent too much time in the sun. To be honest, I don’t really like any of the shiny variants of the Pikachu line. I’ll still keep it but it’s a bit of a ”meh” feeling.

I honestly did not think I would make it this far. I have lost soo many pokemon though, but nuzlockes are so thrilling. On Ula Ula. Guzma and totem mimikyu killed so much, but that was to be expected.My starter is still alive and well, and I am not overleveled.

As long as I get to relive sinnoh again I’m all good. I’m just happy that we can finally play a Pokemon game on the TV, it’s a dream come true.

3DS OR SWITCH????
I want Switch, I’d be very dissapointed to see it on 3DS, for three reasons.
1. Pokemon has always been on a handheld, and this would push home the fact that it truly is a hybrid.
2. Pokemon is a HUGE system seller.
3. IT’D BE POKEMON ON THE TV
if switch never gets mainline pokemon it should atleast get a colosseum like game

They really should (that is, if the switch sells well enough). I don’t buy it when they say the switch won’t replace the 3DS. They’ve lied like this so many times before.

No way. SM was already pushing the 3DS’ limits, so that’s mean the Switch version would have to be held back in potential just to accommodate the 3DS. Plus that wouldn’t help switch sales all this much.
Im a fraud! I went into EB Games the other day, and almost cried, because they have all the switch stuff set up (ads and signs and stuff) telling you to pre-order it, but I already checked with them and they sold out of their pre-orders like an hour into the day they started… so here I am, not having any sort of zelda lined up, nothing pre-ordered and yet calling myself a zelda fan! I just really do not want to pre-order a wii u version, I want the switch version! I’m such a mess rn.

I sold my old 3DS. Ugh, I guess just wiping it for the time being to transfer all my Pokemon to the switch version won’t be too bad. I’ll just wipe it, log into my Wii U account, transfer everything, wipe that, log back into my 3DS account and redownload my software.

Keep in mind that this doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll honor your Wii U/3DS purchases. This just means that you can redownload software from switch to switch.

Being able to switch new Pokemon we catch with the PC.
After that part, I was fully convinced that they wanted to make the game as easy as possible even when difficulty wasn’t a big of a deal in the previous gens 😐
Like at least in R/B/Y with the birds and G/S/C with the beasts they were somewhat of a challenge to catch and didn’t freaking mega evolve
Also Generation 2 on Go will probably have me paying for another couple of weeks or so.
Unfortunately there is literally no incentive to play the game for people who don’t want to spend tons of money on it.
