Over 5,000 Players Banned for Hacking Pokémon

According to Serebii.net, The Pokémon Company has announced that 5,954 Pokémon Sun & Moon players have been banned for “altered save data”. Although normally nothing to worry about for people who do not try to hack their games, there are a number of legitimately obtained Pokémon/move combinations that can erroneously trigger the system. No cases of false positives ending in a complete system ban have been reported, but it is something to keep an eye out for.

Players will know that they have been banned if the error code 090-0212 appears when they try to connect to online functions. It prohibits participation in Rating Battles, competitions, and Global Missions, as well as use of Game Sync.

Hopefully this will not cause any issues for players bringing in many new Pokémon and movesets from older games via Bank.

  1. Stars Guesses/Theories

Since Trial Captains are automatically booted from being a captain at twenty, at least two if the Akala Trial Captains would become Gym Leaders (and maybe Illima too, but I’d rather Guzma be Hau’oli’s Gym Leader) and we’d have replacements for most of them

Hau would become Kahuna as Hala is E4, the Akala Kahuna would be the Akala Captain that isn’t a GL for the same reason

You’d complete the island trials and battle the Kahunas in a predetermined order, then taking on the Gyms and then the E4

Sophocles and Mina perfect their trials

Gladion gets a redesign as aether president

At least some of the rumored new Pokémon are Ultra Beasts, some of which will function more like regular Pokémon (evolve, lower stats, more common)

    • Tbh, I’m not sure how well they’ll handle having Gyms and trials at the same time, I think GF will either add the gym challenge for the post game or remove trials…

      • I doubt they’ll remove trials tbh, it’s one of the main draws of SuMo

Defo think it’d be post game tho

  3. So I just had a revelation about my Water/Normal type Manatee Pokemon Moonatee

So this Pokemon I designed was meant to just throw a Manatee cow hybrid out there but it got me thinking, I gave it the ability Defeatist for its HA as kinda a cruel joke how Manatees are just so docile and incapable of ever harming anything
But I had a thought it has absolutely piss poor attacking stats to begin with but amazing bulk, so how would this load of blubber be possibly useful? Entrainment!

Imagine the blow dealt if you can give your opponent Defeatist while you bulk it up

  4. Yo I’m bored af so I’m a do a thing

Each element is associated with three Zodiac signs (this isn’t something I’ve made up its a proper thing you’ve probably heard of)

    Fire – Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
    Earth – Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
    Air – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
    Water – Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

What’s your element and how do you feel about it? Mines is fire and it honestly fits because Fire used to be my favourite type, and up until SuMo I’d always pick the fire starter first

  5. Team Vaccine: Team Vaccine, despite the benevolent sounding name, are some of the cruelest individuals you will ever meet. They dress in what can only be described as a mixture between Hazmat suits and vampire cloaks. Even the grunts are to be feared as they have items called “Ability Vials” equipped on their Pokemon. They are ruthless and focused on a single goal, making even an encounter with one of them possibly fatal. Their goal is to “perfect” the pokemon world through splicing. It is said Poison, electric, and ice types tend to be their favorites….

Void Callers: An extremely dangerous group of individuals with the desire to plunge the world into a never-ending state of shadows. No one knows the reason for why they desire this, but they are adamant on achieving this goal. They strike down all in their way with a shadowy fist (literally). The moment you cross one, all know who you are. The group is said to function a bit like a hivemind. As expected, they love Ghost and Dark type Pokémon but also have an affinity for Psychic types. While the grunts may be weak like most teams, the higher ups have terrifying teams.

The Golden Sharks: A seemingly average group of pirates who plunder whatever they see. While they do not appear special in any way, people tend to mention that they seem to have a larger goal…

I can’t share more about Golden Sharks without spoiling…
