Hey everybody, due to certain circumstances, we’re bringing you the last regional Mascot Showdown a little bit later! The winner of the last showdown is Xerneas with 53%.
Let’s move on to our last region: Alola. This brand new region is the startpoint for Generation VII – bringing incredible, new features like Trials, Z-Moves, the Battle Royal, Poké Rides, regional variants and so much more!

Pokémon Sun Version

Pokémon Sun featured Solgaleo, the Sunne Pokémon, on its cover. It resembles a more robust white lion design complete with a galaxy motif on its forehead. Its crownlike spikes and its tuffs of fur around its head resemble a sun. Among the people of Alola, it’s known as the beast that devours the sun and has therefore been honored as its emissary.

Solgaleo is the only known Pokémon that can learn the move Sunsteel Strike. Along with Lunala, its counterpart, it’s the only Legendary Pokémon that’s part of an evolutionary line. Not to mention it also has the highest HP-stat of all Steel-type Pokémon. Its name comes from ‘sol‘ (Latin for ‘sun’), ‘Galileo‘ (the man who proved that the Earth rotated around the sun) and ‘leo‘ (Latin for ‘lion’).

Pokémon Moon Version

Lunala, the Moone Pokémon, graced the cover of Pokémon Moon. It’s a large skeleton-like bat whose wings seem to resemble the moon, and are made of the night sky. Much like Solgaleo, it can travel between our dimension and the Ultra Space. Additionally, it’s called the beast that calls the moon, thus gaining the title “emissary of the moon” by the Alolan people.

Lunala‘s signature move is called Moongeist Beam. While Solgaleo is called the male evolution of Cosmog, Lunala is called the female one. Its name derives from ‘luna‘ (Latin for ‘moon’) and ‘ala‘ (Latin for ‘wing’).

    also apparently (may be a just a under sight on my end) but apparently my PC just gave me up to 32 boxes apposed to my usual 25

  10. So I done f’d up in my search for shiny Cutiefly and must have accidentally hit the Run button. I honestly wasn’t super interested in my hunt for it so that’s probably why. Now I’m hunting for a Dewpider which I’m very much interested in lol

      • Ouch …gotta keep track of that stuff. I typically switch every 20 encounters. Even weaker Pokemon can go that high so it’s a decent time to swap lol

        • yeah I wasn’t paying enough attention lol, also my false swiper died and I didn’t have any potions or revives left, unprepared at its finest.

          • Yeah I hear ya. I hate it when the Pokemon I hunt eats the Leppa berry I have on my False Swiper (Smeargle) That’s really a pain if I don’t have any extra ones in my bag lol Also thanks! Hopefully can make this one work lol

  15. Hey Everyone! I’ve been gone for a while pre-occupied by school and winter break but I wanted to say happy new year and I hope this year will be filled with lots of Pokemon news and hope for humanity XD. But for real, it’s nice to be back after a whole month

  16. Nintendo is in an amazing position right now. It’s like clockwork. Microsoft announced today that Scalebound has been cancelled (one of their few big games this year, and I’m actually pissed about it as well). Now all of this negative energy towards Microsoft will certainly impact the way these angry people see Nintendo’s happy, fun-filled event on Thursday/Friday.

    • Ehh, the hatred’s pretty short lived though. Like yeah the game’s canceled, but that’s more on Platinum games then Microsoft, who haven’t been doing great lately. Their last three games sold pretty poorly, and the only game they have slated for 2017 is looking good, but it could easily turn out bad.

      Also all it takes is to say Platinum is working on a game for the switch for people to direct their hate back at Nintendo since some people will see it as the reason that scalebound was canceled.

    • True. I really hope the switch isn’t expensive though. If Pokemon is really “switching” to the home console hybrid I’d probably replace my 3ds with it.

      Which also brings me to wonder if we can play 3ds games on it too (has that been already confirmed not to be happen?).
