Seeing as we’re taking about education, how do people cope with university fees!? In Scotland, uni is free for citizens. I couldn’t imagine having to cope with student fees :/

There’s a lot of scholarships out there, you just need to look for them. Talk to your school’s CAP (or just college) advisor. Questbridge, Posse, etc. are good ones from what I’ve seen.

Yeah, not to get too political or anything, but to get into college, you need money. But to make that much money these days, you need a good degree. It’s a huge problem right now actually (well, I think at least, I’m not very current).
In England you can get loans you don’t have to pay back unless you make over a certain amount by a certain time period, but still it’s a big burden to carry
Oh yeah, there’s a huge debate on whether at all college is even worth the debt these days.
I chose no, I feel I’m suffering from it, 22, useless, in and out of minor jobs, huge waste of potential, perhaps the debt was worth it to at least look like I was trying
It’s a very tough position to be in, really not looking forward to it. TBH america is kinda screwing over their next generation.

And it’s not even just Scotland as a whole, it’s only for citizens (not even UK citizens) and iirc invited exchanged students
I’m in a really lucky position because it’s free for me too*. For those of you in the US, try so hard to get National Merit. At least in Florida (I don’t know where else), you get a full-ride to your first-choice university.
*It’s actually based on the cost of attendance, which is an overestimation. I profit about $5000 a semester

I’m sorta banking on getting at least a partial ride to a nearby computer-science college I want to go to. Also I don’t think I did that good on the PSAT. 😛
Well if you’re not a Junior (I don’t remember 🙁 ), then it really doesn’t matter. Also some states’ cutoff scores are lower than others. I know Florida tends to be fairly low.

Never went, kept getting told i can get loans, but just couldn’t do it, mainly cause, well it’s a loan, regret it, I’m a waste of potential and useless overthinking, would much rather live across the border in scotish world

They usually just play whatever. Mario Maker, Zelda, Dark Souls, Imagine Babies, Mega Man, Katamari Demaci, like they just play anything really

They’ve only played pokemon three times. One with Jon and it was never finished, then when Dan came on, they did Fire Red which was one of the longest series before Mario Maker over took it

I don’t know where to post it because I’ve mentioned it in a few threads, so I’ll mention it here
Scotland ain’t a utopia. Free uni, yeah, but their desire to be diverse kinda screws you over if you’re applying for a competing subject and you’re not some sort of minority (hello homosexuality and potential ADHD, for once you’re helping me out).
And the places with the good unis have high rent (Aberdeen is known as the Silver City-its meant to be because of the granite, but I’d say it’s because it’s in second place as the most expensive place to live in the UK) or low job opportunities (Aberdeen, again)-oooor both (Aberdeen, you’re getting slated).
Nowhere’s perfect, of course.
Scotland has it’s upsides and downsides just like everywhere else.
But I must ask, what was the point of this? Did you think that we thought it was perfect?
It’s probably better than the other 3 parts of the UK.
For the universities, probably (sans Oxford and a few other stuff but that’s a world renowned one, not a common one)
Post uni and schooling, the other three are probably better

She’s played ocarina of time (and owns it for I think gamecube?) and also Omega Ruby (but doesn’t own it). I know she wanted to play alpha Sapphire, but amazon is sold out of it unfortunately.
Omega Ruby, it’s similar enough that it’s a good gift. She’s already played OOT and maybe owns it, so that’s a no, and I don’t know anything about tomb raider.

Speaking of Pokemon Sun back during the story my friend traded me over Sandshrew because it was a Moon Version Exclusive, and I used it for my team. When the time comes, if you want, I can breed another Sandshrew and trade it so you fill out your Dex

So I still have my Ash-Greninja in the demo, but I haven’t transferred it yet to Sun because I want a competitive nature for it. Yet I’m not sure what the nature should be, or even the EV spread. Does anyone know of a good set for Ash-Greninja by chance?

I will probably go for Modest, Timid could be good for getting into A-G mode but I feel the way you use it factors in the most and I’d likely bring it in on a weakened foe and priority kill into A-G mode so higher power would help more.
