How to catch Togepi, Pichu & more in Pokémon GO!

There are some brand new Pokémon now in the mobile hit Pokémon GO (iOS/Android) for trainers to obtain, as well as a special holiday version of Pikachu starting today.

Pichu and Togepi, both introduced in Pokémon Gold & Silver, can now be hatched from eggs within the game. There are more secrets to discover though, as it seems Cleffa, Igglybuff, Tyrogue (is its evolution Hitmontop available?!), Elekid and Magby can also be hatched from eggs!

Holiday Pikachu can also be evolved into an equally festive Raichu too, so don’t stop training!

  1. The New OU tier?

    Carnivine —> Trapnivine
    Classification: Toxic Flytrap Pokemon
    Typing: Grass/Poison
    Stats
    HP: 110
    Attack: 140
    Defense: 100
    Special Attack: 90
    Special Defense: 100
    Speed: 20

Pokedex entry: It gives up on making sweet scents to attract Pokemon as well as its mobility to root itself into swamps, spreading a toxic chemical throughout. The chemical is so strong that it can pull anything toward it even by mere touch. It is said that sinking in a Trapnivine trap is the most painful way to perish…

  3. People with fan game ideas: what’s your legendaries?

    Mine are

    Acid Mascot
    Electric/Poison
It has a huge amount of positive hydrogen ions in its body, which allows it to generate acid and ooze it. It’s said to punish those who try to destroy old traditions, as it hates change-it wants to settle into our world.

    Base Mascot
    Steel/Poison
It has a large amount of hydroxide ions in its body. It has basic properties, and destroys those who prevent change as this Pokémon needs constant new sources of energy in a desperate attempt to find the closest thing to its original food source.

They’re outright confirmed to be Ultra Beasts, being Ultra Dieties of Comfort and Ambition, both of which can be damaging to one’s life if they are overutilised.

  5. OK:
    – Where do you get a Razor Cloth?
    – What are the chances of finding wild Chinch?
    – Is there a way to get PorygonZ in game?
    – How to bypass the Link Trade ban?

  6. Anyone else have fan made regional variants?

    Variant: Flabébé Line
    Type: Fairy/Steel
Reason: When Flabébé tried to pick flowers, they were stopped by *flowermon*, and instead bonded to discarded weaponry. Florges has a helmet instead of a flowery mane, and has a shield as well as a blade.
Forms: Rapier, Dagger, Double-Edged, Knife, Claymore.

    Unique Moves:

    Lunge (Rapier)
    Dual Chop (Dagger)
    Poison Jab (Knife)
    Double-Edge (Double-Edge)
    Earthquake (Claymore)

    New Moves:

    Blessed Blade (Steel, Physical, 70BP)
Hits Dragon, Ghost and Dark-Types super effectively.

    Shields Up (Steel, Status)
Protects the user and boosts Defense for the turn after. Defense will decrease if the move is used again in five turns. Resets the ‘Shields Down’ ability if deactivated.

    Signature Move:

    Magic Shield (Fairy, Status)
Protects the user and lowers Special Attack by one stage if hit by a non-contact move.

    • Really wanted:
      Variant: Volcarona
Type: Psychic/Bug or Fairy/Bug (Based on Lunar Moth)
Reason: Volcarona adapted to absorb the luminescent rays of the moon in the Alola region and convert these into powerful moon beams. It uses bioluminescence to guide travelers on nights where the moon in blocked out.

      New moves:
      -Moon Beam:
      Fairy or Psychic type
      120 power/100 accuracy
      20% chance to lower accuracy
      -Luminescence
      Bug type
      0 power, +4 priority
Draws all attacks to it in battle, but takes no damage. One use per battle.

      Signature Move:
      -Shining Dance
      Bug type
      90 power
30% chance to raise both defenses

  7. Ok, so this will be really off topic but who cares?
I feel like I should explain that I may have a sudden disappearance from here within the next two weeks or so, and I owe you all an explanation. My parents think my grades are pretty bad, and they’re threatening to take away all electronics if I fail to get my grades up (OK, quick rant. My grades aren’t bad at all. I’m taking all advanced and AP courses, and I have mostly A-‘s and B+’s. But they have this stupid idea in their head that I’m a genius “gifted student” and that I should be getting all A+’s. It’s super stressful having them over my back to get perfect scores in advanced classes, I really wish they would just lay off a bit. It isn’t going to hurt me to get a single B). So if I make any sudden disappearnace within the next two weeks, that’s why. I just thought I’d explain why really quickly, because I know how much you’d all care if I was gone. 😛

  10. Continuing on with posting Fakemon, I will now post my cover Legendaries. They are based on the concept of past and future, with the past one looking like an Anklyosaurus, while the future one looks like a European Dragon:

    Nadirth (Nadir + Earth)
    The Ancient Pokemon

Ability: Primeval Past – All priority moves are reversed (I.e Extreme Speed goes last, Vital Throw goes first, etc.)

    Attack: 135
    Defense: 145
    Sp Attack: 80
    Sp Defense: 100
    Speed: 70
Entry: Born from Earth’s natural primal energies during the beginning, this legendary Pokemon has existed for many millennia. It’s possess the ability to revert everything back to what it originally was.

    Zernimus
    (Zenith + Terminus corruption)
    The Forthcoming Pokemon
    Type: Electric/Steel
Ability: Imanent Doomsday – Pokemon that deal physical super effective damage on the user have a 65% chance for their highest stat to be lowered.
Dex Entry: Created during the end of time using futuristic technology, this Legendary Pokemon has seen how all will end. It lives in a dimension where there is a time loop of the universe’s destruction.
