  1. Question:
Why the hell did Pallosand have to suck? If its ability was like storm drain we’d actually have a decently high tier mon… ground and fire was seriously needed for the mons released this gen…. and we got Alolan Marowak and Salazzle

    • vulpix used grudge over and over wiping out my PP, Minior can explode, and Ditto is a no go because my false swiper is Goliospod, so like there are a lot of tough things to chain

      oh also morelull has moonlight

          • What you need:

Smeargle with Reflect Type and Recycle
A false swiper that can hit ghosts (Decidueye/Pangoro probably, preferably Decidueye)
Haunter (or same evo line) that only knows Explosion
Something with Trick that is holding a leppa berry
            Something with Damp (Poliwag probably)

            1. Lead with Smeargle, make Ditto copy it.
            2. Put in your Trick user, trick Leppa berry onto the Smeargle.
            3. Put in your Decidueye, wait for Smeargle to copy its type
            4. False Swipe the Smeargle. (Use Foresight as needed.)
            5. Put in your Haunter.
            6. Use Adrenaline Orb.

What should happen: Now you can just press A to reuse Adrenaline Orb mindlessly until you either see a shiny ditto or you have counted enough chains to get a 4IV. Once you see a Ditto you like or there’s enough chains, just put in the Damp Pokemon, kill the Smeargle and then catch the remaining Haunter with a Timer/Repeat Ball.

          • thanks but this and exceledus’s thing both seem like too much effort for me, I only get to play for a like less than an hour a day now because I’m working so much

          • if the below strat is too complicated, try this:
-Porygon learns recycle. use the move delete to make sure it is the only move it knows.
-Get a hypno to learn switcheroo via move tutor. make it hold a leppa berry
-find a ditto, lead with porygon. use adrenaline orb turn 1.
-switch to hypno after ditto transforms into porygon, use switcheroo to give ditto a leppa berry
-the ditto can never ko itself with struggle, because it only has recycle, which is making it constantly use a leppa berry to restore recycle’s PP. chain from there with whatever pokemon you want without worrying about it killing itself.

  2. Good news, today I found the two TCG tins I won here on pokejungle a few years ago when they did a giveaway 😀 I think it was right around the time PJ was switching to Disqus so it’s weird how much the community has changed and thrived since then.

  4. Decided to chain for shiny Klefki. Worse. Mistake. Of. My Life. The stupid thing will not stop Play Roughing me and I wasted so many full restores. It’s not worth it at all XD

  5. thanks to the generosity of the folks at KyogreCascade, I’ve got a 6IV ditto! they are willing to provide anyone with a 6IV ditto, just by filling out their form (The form is just your IGN and the pokemon you put onto the GTS to make it easier to find you, you can remain anonymous and still get a ditto!), they also made sure it was foreign, and had the nature I requested! good folks, that’ll make my life a heck of a lot easier!

  6. @ithsme:disqus – apparently it’s possible to overwrite a female’s Pokeball if you use the same species.

So if you have a (whatever ball) male Mareanie and bred it with Timer Ball female Mareanie, a percentage of the offspring will be in the male’s ball. Only works with same species, but that means you can now overwrite the Timer Ball that you dislike and still get an HA.

  9. I’m not the only one who thought Magearna was supposed to be today right?
So where is it (I know on the US site for americans but), when will it be up, does anyone know?
Also is it region locked cause I do not have the Pokemon App and thats kind of a silly way to lock it away but I assume it will end up on the internet.

    Reply
      • Yes I know that and even said that.
The questions were, “When will it be up?”, and “Is it region locked?”.
The “Where is it”, meant, “Isn’t it supposed to be up already?”

        • Like I said below keep an eye out on the official website and Serebii. The day is still young in America so it should go live any moment

  10. I’m really looking forward to using Magearna. It seems like a solid Pokémon. Im going to be using a Heart Swap set. Anyone else have a competitive set in mind already for it?

Those buttwipes are going to try to use Shift Gear to give it better speed
Fluer Cannon is too risky for a sweeper because unless holding a white herb to restore the missing sp atk it’s probably going to run Dazzling Gleam in place since of the reliability
Also you will only see Ice Beam on this thing

        Reply
        • Oh, I missed that it learned ice beam. Yeah, that’d be better for those ground types. Shift gear seems okay, but idk I feel it’d be a waste of a slot. Its speed stat is only 65, I’d rather boost sp attack and sp defense. Dazzling Gleam over fleur cannon. It’s a considerable drop in power, but I guess there’s more security in not lowering sp attack.

          • Speed and attack stability is the most important thing
Oooo I think maybe Darmanitan can counter this too
Resisting all attacks it can throw at it

          • Of course
Because you want to make your moves first and chip away at your opponent before he/she does it to you

But unless you can garuentee you can resist their onslaught

See it’s always a game of who can get who into a corner first either by rushing in attacks blazing to smash their strategy or the opposite fortify yourself so nothing touches you and stalling out (this methods causes me nothing but pure anguish)
