Empoleon has just been announced as a playable character for Pokkén Tournament! The Water/Steel-type will be available in the arcade version beginning on December 15th. Its existence was first hinted at in datamining leaks during summer, but it will finally make its official debut now six months later.
Still no word if the extra characters, including Darkrai and others, will ever make it to the Wii U console version. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for some official word!

I like the standard, though I do agree bewear and stufful got good shinies compared to a lot of the gen 7 pokemon.
I think my fav shinies are Toucannon, Salazzle, Araquanid, Lurantis, and Decidueye

Most of the shinies I find are bad. Like I hatched a 5 IV shiny gible -_- Garchomp has the worst shiny in existence.

apparently Nihilego is a shapeshifter so it took on Lillie’s appearance to please Lusamine. I could be wrong though
I thought Nihilego resembled lillie because Lusamine modeled lillie after it because it was the only thing she really “loved” so she try to mold lillie in its image.
Not really. Lusamine was telling her children and possibly Guzma to dress and have hairdos the way she wants. Since she was obsessed with UB, all of them including Lusamine herself were changed to resemble the UB’s rather than the UB’s coincidentally resembling the characters.

when you click on trade, it gives you 3 options: Link trade, GTS, and Wonder trade. when you click on link trade, it brings up a list of everyone currently in the plaza, and marks which of those people are on your friend list.

Yes. You encounter Tapu Koko after meeting Lillie for the first time, and after beating the Elite Four and Professor Kukui, you will automatically visit the Shrine to capture it.
Okay so I did encounter it when I rescued Cosmog in the very beginning but that was it. So I’m not missing something or anything where you meet it again before leaving the island.
BTW you can run away from it if you’re stuck with your anti-Elite 4 team and don’t have synchro, then you can check it out after the credits so you can catch it at your convenience.
Tapu Koko is caught in postgame along with the other Tapu, their pains in the ass to catch tho

Do it! Depending on what season you watch it can be awesome! The first two seasons I’m not sure about as it’s been a while since I’ve seen any of the Indigo or Johto league, but Hoenn and Sinnoh are pretty great. Sinnoh being the better of the two in my opinion. lol XYZ is awesome too!! Maybe even better than Sinnoh as far as story goes. Also from what I’ve seen of it SuMo has been pretty good too. Really the only season you have to avoid like the plague is BW While part 2 of BW isn’t terrible the entire ordeal is pretty unnerving……lol

I didn’t really like N though. And I did find Team Plasma a little too much. But overall, the BW anime was great. The Delcolre Islands were the best way to wrap up the show. Thank god that Ash was already revealed to have a girfriend in XY (you know who)!
What I liked about B/W anime is that they gave Team Rocket a proper role instead of chasing Pikachu, well for a while anyway
The problem was that it took the fun out of em for a while, though. Thank god that Giovanni got hit with a supercharged Electro Ball, although I was kind of hoping that he would be blasting off from that.
It did give them a reason to chase Pikachu again, Jessie stating it was special, instead of just randomly chasing a random Pikachu

short question: I’ve only caught like 2 pokemon since the beginning of the mission, and I’ll get a reward of 200 FC – does the number of FC increase, if you catch more pokemon? Or will I get the complete reward of 2000 FC, when the mission is completed?
I kinda took it as if we fail, you can get up to 200 FC, but I don’t know if catching just 1 pokemon will automatically guarantee 200. We all only get 2000 if we meet the 100,000,000 compound total.

Hey Earthen. I need some advice on ground types for a vgc team. I need something that can generally eat a hit well from a trickroom Torkel, which isn’t a small task given the limit of the Alola dex. Any suggestions? Initial thought was gastrodon given that its large hp stat and water typing would be able to eat those overheats/heatwave’s. Though I”d rather have the opinion of our own ground fanatic in pointing out a good mon for that situation.

And that’s a great set, and I’ve used it myself, but I need something that’s a good counter in trickroom. Something that has really low speed. Like I’m actually considering Palossand. 35 base speed will make it go second in almost all trickroom battles(torkel will always go first), torkel can only 2 shot it with solar beam, where it can oneshot it with earth power provided it has 124 or less ivs in S. defense, which isn’t impossible given the physical bias of competitive and wanting to take advantage of that 140 base defense on that beast. Combined with giga drain, sludge bomb for fairy’s and protect and it could be a decent set.

that’s option B, but I need more of a special attacker against a Torkel. As well Porygon/Orangru are threats, but a bit less since their both weak enough to be taken down easily.

Not a bad choice, but with torkel’s base defense being 140, and it being a physical attack, and torkel having instant solar beams, it’s not an ideal fit.

You probably shouldn’t wait to tank it. Do you have a taunter or fake outer to delay trick room going up?
Does it really have to be a Ground-type? You can consider replacing the weather with Pelipper or Politoed or Gigalith. These also resist fire so they’re decent switch-ins. Plus, messing with the weather also weakens Solar Beam as well. Rain also synergizes with any Thunder you might want to run.
If there’s enough expected Torkoals in your event, I might even think of running Water Sport or Light Screen.

Ok so everyone thugs that UB-02 Absorption corosponds to Gladion but I think it is actually Kartana. Since Lusamine dressed Lillie like Nihilego, maybe she dressed Gladion like Kartana. He would have that white and yellow and red color scheme most likely. Gladion wood change to his current outfit after leaving
I never saw how Absorption resembled him.
To me the only human characters that resemble UBs are Lillie who resembles UB-01 and Lusamine who resembles Pheromasa.
The thing is though, Wicke states that the first time Kartana was seen was when Lusamine summoned it at the same time as Nihilego and Buzzwole/Pheromosa

But in my fight with Pallossand, my Pokeball hits the ground with a audible thud, and slowly sifts into the battlefield and right under the trainer’s Pokemon Pallossand’s tubular arms snatched….lets just say a Riolu from beneath the ground, it moaned with eerie vigor and had the ability to stretch its arms out and regenerate when blasted off, knowing powerful moves such as Giga Drain and Sand Tomb, but it’s mastery of its grainy body allowed it to sink into the ground and a terrifying awesome attack involving it opening its mouth right under the target from the sands and swallowing it with Giga Drain ( Where it’s mouth and eyes glow green and it inhales nutritent particles from the target)

Its theorized that he’s Benga, Alder’s grandson from B2/W2. Evidence for this is that there are some similarities in design and the fact that Ryuki has Dragonite and Garchomp on his team. Benga gives you a shiny Gible or Dratini, depending on which version.

Don’t underestimate overgrow. That’s something I’ve learned the hard way.
But its HA is more awesome, especially because its physical movepool is 10x better than its special. I’m still pissed they made it a viable mixed/special attacker because the movepool just isn’t there and its exclusive HA is for a physical movepool! Ugh, why didn’t they put that sp attack into speed!

That’s why I don’t like ittttt. Orchid mantis makes sense because the bug is trying to avoid detection so over time it adapted to look like part of a flower. I don’t see how a plant looking like a bug is much of a suitable adaptation. But, whatever, this is a fictional world and a lot of it happens just because they want it to.
It could be that the Alola Forms had to change to survive their environment itself, or had a major factor changed (such as diet), where you can’t ‘fake’ a change.
To avoid a predator, you can fake a change because it isn’t factors that would passively kill you, it’s other organisms that can be fooled: but you can’t fool the cold or fluffy pancakes.

I have officially caught all 4 Tapu Pokemon. Lele was easily the hardest to get to stay in her ball. Took almost 30 balls for her to take. The rest were all under 5 lol

Surprisingly Fini was super easy. All I had to do was one Discharge, wait out her Misty Terrain, and then paralyze her. Even with an Aqua ring on and just into the orange from healing herself it only took like one ball after all the set up. I’m surprised as it seemed like everyone was having trouble with her lol

Well I’m glad I got lucky. lol Now to finish hunting the UBs and get Necrozma. After that I can continue trying to bother myself to finish the dex so I can properly shiny hunt……..I kind of wish I didn’t have everything I need in the Bank so I’d actually have some initiative. So Battle Royals are a more efficient (and more fun) way to get BP.
It’s actually a very clever battle mode and I love it. Also the AI is intelligent and won’t always go for the obvious KOs when it knows it won’t won’t win. And it gangs up on you sometimes. I’ve only actually won 1 or 2 but it’s definitely more fun than the battle tree.
Also in the Super Royals you get 2 BP for coming second or third and 1BP for coming last
We’re basically almost half way to a sinnoh battle frontier, we have 2 facilities lol.
Also no, you’re wrong. Royales against AI are super frustrating and time consuming just to lose.
Well I’m speaking from my own experiences. I don’t care about losing right now, I just want BP and I find Battle Royals a much better way of earning BP than the battle tree, where battles can take ages cos your using non EV trained Pokemon against EV trained ones, and you get nothing for losing.

It does take longer IMO though, but you do get consolation rewards.
Maybe slightly longer.
But 2BP per Battle Royale around 80% of the time. Is equal to 2 battles in the battle tree (at least for the first 7)

The movesett is the one I use for my in game Ribombee, and I know competitive and on game aren’t exactly comparable but it works very well
Honestly in a metagame with a bunch of bulky steel types including but not limited to Scizor, Skarmory and Celesteela that set ain’t doing all too much…unfortunately. However once the metagame settles I see it doing work in the lower tiers.
TBF, a set up sweeper should have team support anyway

Once you’ve put in the Pokemon, if you add beans to the crate, you can halve the time it takes to complete the training. Hey I thought I would ask this question because we all use the 3DS quite often. It just so happens that whenever I try to start up Moon the screen has been black for a bit before actually getting to the title screen. I wasn’t really concerned until this time-the title screen didn’t show up. I have turned it off and back on again; the game is still working but there is still a lag for the title screen to pop up. Is there a reason that anyone can think of as to why this is happening? Sorry for asking this troubling question but this is bothering me quite a bit.

Well the non-New 3DSs do have longer load times so that’s prolly why there’s always a sorta long pause. And the one time the game didn’t work was prolly just a fluke.

regarding S.O.S. chains and IVs, does the chain stop counting at 40? like, the odds of getting good IV’s doesn’t get any better after 40? that’s what I hear, but I want to make sure. ive killed like 150+ of the damn things (ditto) so far.
4IV is the max guaranteed. The remaining IVs are random so you have a 1/32 chance of either being 31… 1/1024 for both.
which stops at 40 pokemon chained? I just want to stop the chain safely is all.
You can keep the chain going on forever actually if you want to attempt for a shiny or HA ditto… as long as you stop them from struggling you should be fine.

You and I have different taste in liking Pokemon
I tend to like cool/powerful/funky looking pokemon. The masculine turn me off generally, like Incineroar, Emboar, Chesnaught, Machamp, Hawlucha, Hariyama, Throh, Sawk, etc. Generally a bunch of fighting types, although there are a lot of good ones too. The feminine humanoid ones aren’t much better like Tsareena, Jynx, Aromatisse, Phermosa, maybe more.
aww that’s a shame. to each their own I guess, but I really find gen VI to have some of the most solid designs, and hawlucha is definitely one of them.
Gen 6 is alright, although there weren’t enough and a lot of them deserved another evolution. Gen 2 and 3 are probs the weakest, imo.
i’ll agree with gen 2 (I like them, but I wish more of them were good) but I feel gen 3’s designs did a good job matching their environment. it was the first gen where I felt “wow, I could really se these things living here!” (I still remember when I first found a tropius, man, that thing blew my mind as a kid.)
They’re not bad, it’s just I don’t tend to like a lot of Gen 3 pokemon all that much.
For me I’d say it goes:
5 = 7 > 6 = 3 > 1 = 2 = 4
I’d probs go 4 (cause I love the cross gens) > 5 > 1 > 6 = 7 > 3 > 2
7>3>4=6>5>1=2 I guess this is the way I see it, unless we count the remakes, I guess i’d place gen 6 higher.

SVE is another way of getting legal shinies. Each trainer has an SV short for shiny value and when the Pokemon in an egg matches that value it hatches shiny. To do this merhod you need to calculate your SV first using an SV calculator

If we include UB’s as a kind of Legendary, we finally have a Poison one, and that’s pretty neat.
I can see why people would say they’re not though, but I can give an argument for one of the reasons people give:
“You can get Multiple of them” – Well, yeah, but most None main Legends there are multiple of, so that’s not really an excuse.
Plus with the new Pokedex colouring system, their background, like the Tapus, is Green. Also Type: Null but I mentioned that already.
Another plus is, well Necrozma, Solgaleo and Lunala are implied to be UB, but are still Legendary Pokemon.
So my original point was, yeay Poison legendary. (for the sake of it, I’m including Mythicals as Legendary too)

That your Pokemon really, really likes you. It also evolves certain Pokémon after leveling up. Like Eevee and Riolu for example

Golbat also levels up with max friendship. I usually just give them a Soothe Bell and visit a massage shop once a day to speed things up
Just Harvest and feed it a ton of friendship increasing berries

There’s one for each stat cause they also lower EVs. I dunno the names.

But many things will evolve a bit of a way into the previous friendship message level. You don’t need to max it out.

It’s a bot if the trade is accepted almost immediately if you refresh the system. Most likely 5-6 IV yes

Yesterday I got the ban for a communication error. It took 24h for me to be able to use gts again. Some people say their ban lasted for more the 74h. This is totally annoying. My connection is always unstable, I’m just afraid of using online services.
Such an absurd punishment. Should happen to repeat offenders, not for an occassional communication error.

I saw him twice on showdown 1 time I owned him like a slave, the second time it walled me terribly and I didn’t even faint 1 of the opponent’s mons.
I might use it for the Battle Tree because Crabominable is just too frail, as much as I love the typing.

Now that we’ve been playing a while, what are your teams like now as opposed to what you thought they’d be? I’m still too early in the game to really have any change and still have a lot to see by curious about those that are far along of have already beaten the game.
I played Sun but wanted Lycanroc midnight and decided to go with Minior instead of waiting on my brother to train one up and trade it to me. Only change. I pretty much always plan my teams and I pretty much never change the planned team.
That’s cool. I always end up changing my teams as I learn more about Pokémon and see them in action. I didn’t think I’d like Wishiwashi but I just caught one on my Moon team and it’s great! I can trade you a Lycanroc Midnight form once I get one if you’d like
Well I try to keep track of all the Pokémon I’ve used on playthroughs so that I can use as many of them as possible as the years go on. but I’m good, thanks though! I’ve beaten the game now so I can just catch one in Vast Poni Canyon and I have Moon version waiting in reserves when I need another playthrough at some point.

Despite evo it to Alakazam in a trade, it feels like it faints too fast and doesn’t damage enough, so I grabbed this Decidueye to replace Alakazam and it did well.
A. Meowth is the surprise of this gen. Surprisingly good Pokemon for in-game progression and a solid teammate.

It’s yet another Normal/Flying type, poor speed, lack of flying type move to utilise with skill link. Even Beak Blast doesn’t help it that much as it’s easily anticipated if you’re using a physical attacker.
It’s so cool though…
Not really to me, it has grow on me but I’d still have preferred a different typing and slightly different (hopefully better) design.

The beak thing is the best part of it for me. Priority burn is good providing you get hit physically, and is unaffected by Psychic Terrain etc. I have yet to hear it in the anime.
Oh, you know why it does that? Its beak literally heats up when it goes to attack, when it’s angry it does too. It’s literally like flaming metal
It would be even more like that if it had been Steel/Flying… But yeah I like the idea of it. I also love the way it uses it to hatch it’s eggs (I’ve seen a gif of it doing so in the anime). A shame it can’t be used to actually hatch eggs in-game.

That or Dark/Flying would have made me happier with it. As it is Talonflame is the only regional Bird I’ve used extensively, and that’s only because it has Flame Body and can fly.

Oh I’m sure there’s some good plays to be made with it, it certainly has more use than Pidgeot (pre-Mega), Noctowl, Swellow and Unfezant. Having said that I do still prefer those first 3’s designs atm. Likely the only Bird I will use from gen 7 is Decidueye.

I do enjoy it’s shiny. Although it does look more like a Dark type with it which makes me a bit sad. At least it can use Rock Blast, Bullet Seed, Overheat, Roost etc. I’m wondering if Sheer Force has any use r if Keen Eye actually has the most use.
I really think Decidueye should have been in the Grass egg group too. Then it’d likely have gotten a host of great stuff like Leech Seed, Spore, Stun Spore, Aromatherapy etc, all of which would have had use on more defensive sets. It’s actually one of my biggest disappointments with it. I love pretty much all of it though.

So far I think I finally figured out how to use Pokepalageo efficiently
-Start Operations early in the morning
-Bean island to gather beans to speed up actions
-Berry island to grow the Five EV lowering berries (Pomeg, Kelpsy, Qualot, Hondew, Grepa and Tamato)
-Treasure Island to hunt down Shards and or Rarities to trade for Bottlecaps (they say you can get Golden Bottlecaps from there but haven’t seen any yet)
-And lastly Level up Island to put babies in a 63 Session Stat program while you do other things 63 equals 252 stat which is roughly 35 Hours
I don’t think the Hot Springs are any good because you tend to hatch everything while waiting for eggs to spawn
So I need anybody who’s free to go to Route 10 on Ula Ula to see if the berry Tree spawns a Hondew Berry it is the very last one I need and if one of you decides to help I would be more than happy to breed you a Regenerator Mareanie, or a Modest Salandit or Impish Mubray

Fun times. I’m not really a fan of Kanto, and my copy of Leafgreen I bought off of a friend who was getting out of pokemon years ago, but skyrim’s fun enough. I’m personally not a fan of super openworld games like it, but whatever floats your boat.

Personally I love it. my pitch would be its a final fantasy game with a better battle system and world similar to Dragon Age Inquisition or Xenoblade Chronicles X, but is much better handled then them. Like it’ll still have high level monster’s roaming early zones, but they might only be like level 30, and be stuck in a gorge where you would have to actively go after them. The story’s good, though I would suggest watching the five episode OVA(free on youtube) and the movie, though really it just tells you the movie’s ending in the first few hours. Everything about it is wonderful. The bromance is wonderful, the difficulty is just right, the music is straight out of kingdom hearts(kingdom hearts lead composer did the music for the game), and its all nicely wrapped up with your party members being a posh butler, big bro for the ages , and Michelangelo, tuxedo mask and that one blue haired guy from iron blood orphans all rolled into one being your party members.
So yeah its really good. Also I kinda love Cindy and Iris.
Pretty much just been playing Pokémon. I feel like most games I’m interested in picking up right now either aren’t on Nintendo consoles or might end up being ported to Switch so I’m just sitting on my hands waiting. But I think I might get LoZ: Twilight Princess HD over this month and play through that.
I need FFXV so bad. I’m not a praying man, but I pray that that comes to Swith

I’ll pray with you, as unlikely as it is. The game struggles a bit on the PS4 at times, so I don’t have high hopes for the switch.
