About to hit the second trial of Ula’Ula.
I understand how much Lillie doesn’t like Pokemon Battles, but she doesn’t have to repeat it every time we are about to get into a trial battle. Well, when she did, dunno if she has recently.
I also believe that the SOS system could have been (or still be?) tweaked. Consuming a turn, if usable any time, or use it after an attack, but has a cooldown. I really miss the DexNav.
I think it’s fine as it is tbh, makes totems harder and shiny hunting easier
Totems could have an exception to SOS, but in the wild, a limit would be nice.
Once every three turns, maybe actually requiring the wild mon to be at low health, etc.
Thematically to Alola, it is a fun system; but it could use tweaking. Anyone can agree with that.
Low health should definitely be a requirement
dexnav and sos and hordes in one game would be awesome.
obviously hordes couldn’t sos, but sos could maybe call a horde, dexnav is just for searching.
she can’t fight with nebby, it doesn’t even learn damaging moves like a magikarp.

Became the champion last night! I had a “bad guy wrestler” theme for most of them.

I had basically no defense against fairies, and Drampa did practically nothing except use Ice Beam a few times… Minor wasn’t a ton of help either. No one knew a water move.

I got a little sentimental during the final battle, when my Incineroar withstood a KO and helped me win using his Z-move. Also, Rebel was the very first Rockruff I caught, and Tookie-Tookie was probably the first Pokemon I caught (or maybe a Rattata).
We named our Salazzle’s the same thing lol

so cosmog is the child of the original Solgaleo and lunala ? So there are now 2 of one of those ? Are Solgaleo and lunala ultra beasts ? In one of the games, it mentions Solgaleo attacked Alola and lunala saved them. Is it the other way around in the other game ?

The national Dex isn’t ludicrous, especially since between all Gen VI games you can catch everything

I did it for a long time to find a Thick Club for my Marowak. Also, that’s the only way to get Mareanie, I think. You catch a Corsola (rare enough) and it’ll call for help, and sometimes a Mareanie (its mortal enemy) shows up. It’s a little messed up.

So chaining SOS with Cubone it will eventually call on Kangaskhan. I assume its a nod to the fan theory that Kangashkan is Cubone’s mother and the baby in the pouch is a Baby Cubone

Clefairy do! I caught one that a Cleffa called! I don’t think Clefable do, but if you take a Thief chaining with you, you might be able to snatch a Moonstone from a Cleffa.
Check out Serebii’s data on a location and it’ll tell you spawn / SOS rates, times of day, and all that.

Skull shape looks more like a Charizard, I guess. But Charmander has no horns, Charmeleon has one, Marowak has 2 shorter ones and the skull covers more of its face… nothing makes that much sense.

I’m not them, but It’s a 20% encounter in rippling water fishing in the melemele coast, there’s one off the coast of kukui’s house, if you don’t get one, head north or northeast until the route changes and come back.
There’s always one geyser that bubbles, it’s the one in the melemele sea right near the water cave entrance to ten carat hill. So you can just keep fishing it, and if it’s not corsola just break those rocks with sharpedo and enter/exit the cave. It should be bubbling again
also one near kukui’s house between 3 stones that doesn’t require sharpedo, and is easily respawned by entering the border of melemele outskirts.

Am I the only one totally disappointed by the story? I don’t really understand how it relates to Alola, it seems way too focused on the relationship between the family, the final battle with Mega-Lusamine was anticlimactic and her transformed body was just like Lysandre’s super suit, we really only got to see Nihilego in action, and that whole other world just looked like a stupid cave. I was expecting distortion world-level coolness and N/Ghetsis-level story depth. Lusamine didn’t even battle with an ultra beast!” granted, I still have to take on the E4, but I’m pretty underwhelmed at the moment. Oh, and the clothing is so bland this gen. Sigh
Well Alola, to me is just a really cozy region and has that sense of family. Everyone knows each other and everything feels harmonious. I think the setting really fits the story
In fairness, when has the story ever been related to the region itself?
