The battles take longer, but play testing on Battle Spot is much more satisfying than Showdown. Showdown is so fast paced I feel pressured to make really fast decisions.

Does Aurora fail deactivate when hail is gone or replaced……by sand
Once it’s up, it doesn’t because it counts as putting both Light Screen and Reflect at the same time… so you will have to Brick Break/Psychic Fang the barriers.
However, the move will fail if it’s not Hail, so switching to a Sand Stream/Drizzle/Drought user during the Aurora Veil turn will stop it.

Don’t fair well vs Excadrill but that’s what a team is for
Feh Ice doesn’t scare me in the slightest
Half my team resists Ice and has more then enough power to break it
All that matters is my Specially Defensive Hippowdon taking the field and summoning a dusty gale that turns Excadrill into a ice breaker
Ice has three setters though, and whilst they’re weak to your team, they’ll have teammates too
Wow A. Vulpix is frail. Had to give it Eviolite so it could hold up better. That said I actually really like having it on my team and am glad I waited until now to get it lol
Ninetales is supposedly pretty good though
Well it’ll all be worth it then once I get an Ice Stone and the right moves on it. Will be a great addition to the team. Plus it’s one of those Pokemon that I’ve never used before even in it’s regular form so it’ll be cool to have lol
What Pokémon is best for nature synchronizing?
I am trying to get Abras for every nature I want now. They either have Synchronize or inner focus.
I use Abra or Ralts. If the Synchroniser is the first one in your party but fainted it still Synchronises the nature. This way you can have a fainted lvl 1 Abra or Ralts on the first slot and something to help you catch the Pokemon in the second slot.
Honestly? Ralts because immunity to dragon rage
But I have a lot of Abras
Pre-bank, Abra is our only good choice right now, unless you wanna raise an army of espeons and umbreons.

Yea the English VAs are meh. The voices don’t match that well. But I’m not a fan of Kukui’s Japanese voice. Not suave enough sounding haha
I really don’t mind the English dub. A lot of people don’t like it, but to be honest it’s really not that bad most of the time. Sure it has it’s faults, but so does the Japanese dubs too. People rag on English dubbed anime, but that’s only because it’s not from the “source” and anime fans can be kind of snobby sometimes. lol People tend to be a little harder on English dubbed content than they really should be lol
Agreed with that. The dub isn’t BAD. I think they could have tried harder tho. xD But I’m typically critical of the anime. One of the few Pokémon things I’m not afraid to voice my discontent with. But in general, I really am loving the new show. The third episode starts slow but when Team Rocket runs into the Mimikyu, shit gets real funny real fast.
I’m really debating whether I want to watch the Japanese dub as it comes out. I tried to do it with XY, but since I also watch the English dub it got kind of tedious and really the two dubs are decently close at this point airing wise so it makes less problems for me to just wait. Still interesting and can’t wait to watch! lol

Is it just me or is there a ton of abilities that punish the use of physical attacks? Status inducing, damage dealing, and intimidate. But there’s nothing like that for special.

Its kinda hard to pinpint every example, but some simple one’s would be things like the strongest fire special move is fire blast, which has horrible acc. and is weaker then Flare Blitz, making a physical fire pokemon far better since a special would only want to run flamethrower.
Or how their are a lot more physical attacks then special attacks, or even types that pretty much can’t be used as a special attacker like Rock, ground, steel, ect. Other then fairy, pretty much every type is either bias at best, or is outright meant to be built for physical attacks.
There are more stronger physical moves and stronger physical Pokemon to use them.
Physical also has more set up options and more abilities that boost attack.

So unfortunately it looks like the Lucky egg (at least from the prof) is post story…..tis a shame. It’ll still be helpful, but I would have liked to be able to use it during the main story every once and a while when needed. Like now would be good. That way I wouldn’t have to grind so much to get my Vulpix up to lvl 36 with the rest of my Pokemon. Oh well…at least this gives me time to get it ranked up in Refresh as well. some quality time with her as it were lol

You get 50 in the game, so your call. I caught every UB with one ball, which in total you have to use a min. of 10 to catch them all.
I know you can catch a Pokémon in a Beast Ball, but can you catch any Ultra Beasts into a Poké Ball?

I’d say focus on dex completion before shiny hunting so you can get the shiny charm.

Yeah, that’s going to be a problem with Cosmog. I’d say settle with a near living dex, or ask someone to gen an extra cosmog in for ya since you can’t have a living dex without multiple playthrough’s and pokebank.

personally I’d go modest or timid. If timid, I’d go scarf, and if Modest I’d go with what ever item you feel works well for it. The thing’s not built to last.
I don’t think scarf would work, cause it couldn’t use any revovery move. Probably modest then…

When I was testing my idea for a E-Terrain/Rain team I named my shiny Goodra “The Giraffe”, Pelipper “The Pelly”, and Metagress “And Me” after Roald Dahl’s The Giraffe, The Pelly, and Me. lol

the electric UB pretty much hard counter’s it period. Go Timid or modest, and Thunderbolt’s a 2ohko if I remember right.
Just about any special attacker can 2HKO is honestly.

I think a number of legit breeders use hacked Dittos to get things rolling. But don’t quote me on that. But you’re still doing things the right way, you’re just not wasting your time trying to get started. But I get if it isn’t your thing. Hacking Pokémon can be a touchy subject for some.

I find that Hacked Dittos counts as Half-Cheating, but due to the outstanding rarity of legitimate Flawless Dittos we need some kind of seed (IM STILL UP THE ASS FURIOUS THAT HYPER TRAINING IS A BUNCH OF HORSE SHIT, HOW DARE THEY NOT INCREASE THE IVS AND LET YOU PASS THEM DOWN THOSE GOD DAMN GAMEFREAK F*CKERS)
But if you hack perfectly IV’d Legends with the righ HP then you’re a lazy twatting cheater
I’m a firm believer that competitive Pokémon is about strategy and team building and decision making, not breeding and soft resetting. Even if hacking was somehow stopped I would still pay someone else to put my team’s IVs together for me.

Okay, sorry for bothering everyone with questions but can someone explain to me how the festival plaza works and how to use it?
basic tips:
1. connect to the internet.
2. characters with a red dialogue box that you walk by can give you some FC if you talk to them.
3. farm FC by doing the events that will appear on the bottom screen or host them(hence why you want to be ion the internet. The most popular is the type matchup as you can get like 50 fc if your the host per run at it.
4. rank up to unlock shops. aim to get to rank 8 and you’ll get the option to ask players to buy one of their shops for fc. The most saught after shops are the 3 and five star dye shops as you can use berries to dye clothes to different colors then what you can in game, being pastel, dark or light variants of the color.
5. the battle and trade buttons do what they sound like trade holds trade,s GTS and wondertrade, while battle is all wifi battles.

To those who have caught a Minior… how the hell did you catch the lil f**ker? I keep throwing quick balls and he pops out in one shake and then uses self destruct…
The one on my team I got real lucky with. Caught it in a Moon Ball despite Minior’s low catch rate and the Moon Ball not getting any multiplier on Minior. All the other ones I’ve caught has basically been with Quick Balls and Dusk Balls.
Quick balls never work for me 🙁 ultra balls seem to have no effect cause i get more shakes out of a great ball than i do with any other ball
Yea Quick is still inconsistent due to Minor’s low catch rate. But it’s still better than a Dusk Ball at least for the first turn.
Minior and Beldum are the only pokemon ive had trouble with catching… took me 20 minutes it seemed to catch a beldum
First time I ran into a Beldum I went at it for like 20 min also. But it ended up killing itself haha Second one I caught pretty fast.

I didn’t think the abandoned super market was that cool, it was really straight-forward
