Combat Power Nerfs & Buffs Coming to GO

As usual, Niantic has released some details on their next update for Pokémon GO!

This time around the latest update to their popular mobile game will make adjustments to the Combat Power of several Pokémon: increasing the CP of Pokémon such as Alakazam, Rhydon, and Gengar (mentioned specifically), and lowering the CP of other, unspecified Pokémon.

In the words of Niantic, “These changes will allow a more balanced and competitive battling and training experience in Gyms. We will continue to adjust the CP going forward to improve the game balance when necessary.”

No word on an official list of all the effected Pokémon, however if you open up the app the changes to CP have already been implanted! Check out Niantic’s official blog for their full statement!

In addition to this, in celebration of Thanksgiving, starting November 22nd users will be able to enjoy a week of double XP and Stardust!

  2. So there are exclusive clothing colors to the other version?

I just realized from looking at my dye shop in Festival Plaza, I don’t have the following colors for normal clothes: Blue, Purple, Navy Blue and Green. Since I have Sun, I guess these are Moon-only colors?

  3. I want to compile a complete shopping list for competitive breeding ingredients
    -Everstones and a Destiny Knot
-the most important thing of ALL is go find and contract Pokerus and spread it, Pokerus is hard to find but easy to spread after
-a gaggle of Pokemon with Syncronize and Trace for scouting
-a shit load of Dittos of the following natures (Adamant, Jolly, Modest, Timid, Impish, Careful) I’ll be breeding trading Dhelmise and Mimikyu for them
-False Swiper to enable Chains and easy captures
-a Flame Body Egg Nanny Magmar, Flechinder
-a route to effectively hatch eggs with little to no effort (I think the longest is route 8)
-Power Items which all cost BP
-Pokepalageo and Festival Plazedeveloped up the wazoo that will help a lot

    Is there anything I missed?

I swear I feel I was dealt a low blow
Pokemon XY and ORAS I was a breeding machine, everything so easy and explainable now reduced to ground zero

        • I actually despise the EV training methods this gen. Gen 6 had it so freaking easy….why would they remove that kind of convenience.

          • I dunno
Jesus where are we going to freaking hyper level
I need my freaking Chansey and Audino slaughterhouse
And Chaining? That means we have to kill like a freaking bajillion in one sitting and what if they don’t call for back up

            Ughhhhhh

And I need to compile a new Alolan OU team

          • It was when I was fighting his Primarina and it KO’d my whole team and Incineroar was only left and i had 14% health and it had 48%
I needed this last attack to be the perfect attack
I called out for the final attack to end it all here
            Mega Malicious Moonsault Z!!!
Incineroar’s belt glew blue and black flames as his entire body was cloaked in a red and black fiery aura and dashed foward!
He roared causing a imposing Burning Arean to form from the ground, he leaped onto the ringside and grinned, the pole started to extend upward with Incineroar perched atop
Letting loose one final shout he dived forward!
Twisting and turning like a cyclone his body was descending like a burning meteor!
After three powerful flips he opened his body and black streams of flame ignited from his belt matching his insignia and collided with Primarina!
The entirety of Mount Lanailka felt the aftershocks of such a powerful attack
Incineroar stood tall and triumphant knowing he had won

    • No, no more Pixilate
I wish Incineroar got a Unique Ability

      How about Showboating
“The User’s Attack and Speed increase for every Knocked out Pokemon”
