Combat Power Nerfs & Buffs Coming to GO

As usual, Niantic has released some details on their next update for Pokémon GO!

This time around the latest update to their popular mobile game will make adjustments to the Combat Power of several Pokémon: increasing the CP of Pokémon such as Alakazam, Rhydon, and Gengar (mentioned specifically), and lowering the CP of other, unspecified Pokémon.

In the words of Niantic, “These changes will allow a more balanced and competitive battling and training experience in Gyms. We will continue to adjust the CP going forward to improve the game balance when necessary.”

No word on an official list of all the effected Pokémon, however if you open up the app the changes to CP have already been implanted! Check out Niantic’s official blog for their full statement!

In addition to this, in celebration of Thanksgiving, starting November 22nd users will be able to enjoy a week of double XP and Stardust!

  2. Emergency! This is during the festival after the defeat of the elite four. Is it possible to soft reset Tapu Koko’s nature after capturing it now, if so, what nature should it have I need an answer soon as I am encountering it now.

  4. Well hello there! I just went to the Sun and Moon website on a whim and found that they updated with art and what not for more Pokemon. Pokemon being Salazzle, Golisopod, the Dewpider line and a few more. Even tho the games are out it’s cool to see their art and stuff. lol

  6. Sounds like those glitches from earlier were due to people hacking their games. The tool they used to edit their games f’d them up.Still probably best to stay on the cautious side, but for normal people it sounds like it’s a nonissue

  7. I’m wondering if when transfer is available if Male Kanto Forms can pass their Pokéball to their Female Alolan counterparts. Would allow for Dream and some Safari Ball versions and allow for more Apricorn ones if they can’t be bought at all. Also DBHA Kanto Starters, Gothita and Pikachu will now be Legal.

    • Sounds like that was just from people using a tool to edit their games. Caution is still good, but It sounds like unless you tamper with the game using that tool you should be good. But again caution is always good.

      • Chill, cause I ALWAYS save at Poké Centers unless I’m out adventuring and need to save. I love loading up the game and seeing my avatar in a center ready to continue his journey. Hoping this is really just a false alarm.

  8. Am I the only one that dins Salazzle off putting? Like I like the over all design in a way, but there’s something overly creepy about the way it’s designed that makes me….want to take a step away from it……Like for one it’s incredibly “sexy”….idk if that’s the word I'[d want to use on an animal, but it’s the only one I can think of right now…..anyway……It also has hands that are freaky too. Not only are the fingers super long and slender, but she also has 5 of them. All of that coupled with the Salandit description of them having pheromones that attract both Pokemon and humans alike is well…..like I said off putting lo

  9. Quick question. What is the booth that offers a set to reset EVs called in Festival Plaza? Also is there any other way to reset EVs in the game?
