has anyone have his exp share turned off? and if yes tell me please if the trainers and the kahunas are overleveled.
I have it on and have not rushed through the game at all and I am not overleveled..only have 4 Pokemon on my team so far and i have found bits to be quite challenging!
I lost to the school teacher the first time and won against Illima with like 1hp left, so far its been pretty decently difficult Id say too

My team finally finished the last of the Akala Trials and to fight the Kahuna Olivia on a Three on Three match, one by one Olivia’s Rock Types proved more defensive then expected
It was down to Torracat and his most despised rival Lycanroc, Torracat held its ground hoping it not to lose to yet another Lycanroc; Pitting speed to speed and power to percision, but every attack was countered with greater power…
Torracat was not going to lose again! It’s flame sack burnt brighter then ever! Flames began to engulf Torracat’s body as it was consumed by the fiery vortex!
RRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARRRRR
the flames died down and standing before everyone was a towering Crimson Pokemon with a malicious look in its eye…Incineroar
With great power Incineroar began using Shadow Claw to dice Lycanroc to bits but just kept cackling, in retaliation Lycanroc sends pillars of Stone edge, but was masterful dodged and on the very tallest pillar standing triumphantly, Incineroar leaps into the the air with outstretched Arms in a corkscrew motion into a full force body slam!!!!
Lycanroc was defeated….. As the battle died out…..Incineroar was not satisfied….He wanted more…..
Hatched my Lvl: 1 Alolan Sandshrew so going to go back and battle the Trial Captains now to level it up before going for the 6th Trial!

No idea, I’d assume time. I’ve only encountered one so far out of like 5 trees.
They respawn daily.

Okay so i just lost against Totem Mimikyu….with Haunter AND Gengar!! EVIL!!
Totem Gumshoos was super hard (I’m only on route 3).
Mimikyu copied my Tsareena’s Trop Kick then Haunter knocked it out… i got Primarina in and knocked ouyt Haunter then Mimikyu used Trop Kick and 2HKO’d it and then my Salazzle and Charjabug fell when it called out Gengar!! PURE EVIL!
While I did get beat by the Normal Trial Captain due to not being ready for Smeargle’s Leafage, these games really haven’t offered any challenge. Luckily I play to pretend to be a Pokémon trainer not for a challenge and this game is excelling at that. haha

It’s definitely not as painfully easy as XY.
So the third trial actually was really hard for me. It was the first fight where I had to use a Z-more in order to beat it, and even then like two pokemon went down to that photogenic lizard. Also yay for the Cameo that follows shortly after it.
To those who have it, how hard is is the game so far?
Much Much harder than XY, not as Hard as Gen 1-2 etc I would say on par with DPPt and BWB2W2
There’s flashes of difficulty. You’d get surprised once in a while.
I think it’s difficult enough that there will be high body counts especially in Nuzlockes where you sometimes can’t get exactly what you need to defeat the trials/totems.
Pretty difficult without EXP share
Eevee called for help and I got an Espeon <3 I love this mechanic, but hate it as well.

Just completed the 6th Trial (it was HARD!).
I have 9 Z Stones (11 including Pikanium and Primarium) and this is my team so far:

Charjabug Lvl: 38
Salazzle Lvl: 38
Tsareena Lvl: 38
Alolan Sandshrew Lvl: 27
How is charjabug doing, if I may ask?
Pretty decent actually and Grubbin was not bad either… leaps and bounds beyond any early bug since…EVER! Of course you cant really compare it with Caterpie, Wurmple etc
It’s a bit of a pain that you cant evolve into Vikavolt until the final island but Charjabug is managing fine for now!
