  1. Grass/Ghost is honestly a surprise! I cannot wait for the Battle Tree! I wish Red had an Alolan Pikachu to step up the difficulty. Anyways, I’m pumped!

  2. Incineroar is now on my top starter list with its given bio. <3 It's going to be so weird starting with a Fire type. Guess gen 7 is bringing me back to my roots. Lol

  3. So upon looking at th site and watching the trailer again I think anyone looking for the whole Pokemon league treatment is gonna be sad in a way. I think that we’ll only be able to challenge the E4 and Champion and there won’t be gyms. I imagine it’ll be somewhere along the lines of you being accepted as being worthy of just jumping straight to the E4 and not needing badges or anything. thus why they wouldn’t require you to go to gyms…..which to me is a little sad……While I find the old system boring I would like it to be a thing in the games now that we know that the main story will be more robust.

  4. This is the first generation where I think I might actually use all three starters in my first playthrough. These are the best starter typing combinations and designs since GEN 4!

  5. Now that’s a real Fairy uwu

“Tapu Lele scatters glowing scales that physically affect others—providing stimulation to their bodies and healing their illnesses or injuries. But these scales can be dangerous as well, because a body can’t withstand the changes brought about by contact with too many scales at the same time. It will scatter its scales over humans and Pokémon for its own enjoyment; while it is innocent in one sense, there is also cruelty in the way it casually brings others to ruin”

  6. I’m surprised they changed Decidueye’s type from Flying to Ghost. I wouldn’t have thought they’d do that. It’s not like flying type would have been a bd fit for its theme. It’s a good change, but certainly an odd one lol

      • The name is also hinting at death a bit, as “Deciduous” is a tree or shrub shedding its leaves annually, which in a way is sorta like death in the sense that you have dying leaves. I believe its’ name is a combination of Deciduous and Deadeye. The latter part being a reference to a sharpshooter, which matches the archer theme, being based around precision aiming.

  7. Do you think that since Primarina is double effective on Incineroar, they all will be double effective against each other like the Kalos Starters therefore meaning Fairy could gain a GHOST weakness, or am I just crazy…

  9. Did anyone notice the ’96 on Red’s shirt! Also, I kinda wish the other trainers got redesigns for Alola. Just to match the warmer climate.

    • @ cynthia wearing BLACK FUR in one of the hottest regions in pokemon history. Which is kinda sad because we know she has summer clothes based on the black and white anime

    • I think I have a good idea of the Pokemon timeline. Red is 11 in R/B/Y/G. R/B/Y/G = R/S/E > 2-3 years > G/S/C/HG/SS = D/P/Pt > 2-5 years > B/W > 2 years > B2/W2 > 1-2 years > S/M

      • R/G/B/Y/FR/LG=R/S/E/OR/AS 11
        3 Years
        G/S/C/HG/SS=D/P/Plt 14
Unknown time probably 3 years due to the ex rocket grunt with a kid thats no more than 2.
        B/W 17
        2 Years
B2/W2=X/Y 19 (Though his sprite doesn’t show it, in fact he didn’t seem to have aged at all)
        Then 2-3 Years
        S/M
        If 2 years then he’s 21.
        If 3 years then he’s 22.

        • Either way, Red and Blue are definitely adults! I’m glad that they aged. Yet, Wally should be an adult as well if this was followed. He obviously seems like he’s not in the trailers. Pokemon and continuity, I swear.

  10. I’m glad Incineroar is part Dark type. That means all I need is for Wimpod2 to STAY Water type and I think I should be all good for my team lol

  11. Uuuugh loving the Fairy variety brought single handedly by the Tapus

Koko and Bulu aren’t feminine appearing whereas the feminine ones actually act like folklore fae who were morally ambiguous and quite self centered

  12. Hey, guys! 🙂 I translated what Lillie says in the Japanese trailer, and here’s what she said mostly.
“Name-chan…Cosmog came from a far away place and is a rare Pokemon.” (she used a type of sentence that ends with ndesu (which I just learned!) that is used for feeling and providing a silent explanation for something. From this one sentence, I can’t fathom what it could be yet, but just letting you guys know) What puzzles me is that Cosmog came from far away. From another dimension? From another world? So many questions just from one statement. I am so puzzled and curious, I honestly can’t wait to find out 😀
