With less than 30 days until the release of Pokémon Sun & Moon on the Nintendo 3DS, most of the new Pokémon have already been spoiled by datamining, but Alolan Persian has now surfaced on an official Pokédex for the new games. I take no pleasure in posting its bloated visage on my site, but some of you may enjoy this Garfield-esque evolution of Alolan Meowth.
Personally, I’m a little bit worried about what’s in the Alolan water, because I’ve heard tropical climates can sometimes have bacteria that causes your brain to swell and Alolan Persian may need immediate medical care…
Thoughts? Complaints?
FEATURED DISCUSSION: Preliminary Sun/Moon Teams
The fact they didn’t even want to give it time in a trailer is pretty fitting
Just you wait until that beautiful face graces us on the 27th :p
More news to come on that day?
Yup.
I find it entertaining that Persian is finally an actual Persian Cat. I really do like what it’s based on/poking fun at, but I also feel like they could have made the cheek floof look more like floof than just a disproportionate head.
Also this is my first ever post here c: Hi guys~
Welcome to our distinguished list of people who have posted at PokéJungle 🙂
*bows* Thank you! I’ve actually followed the site for a long while; I link back to you guys a lot on my own blog, but I figured it was about time I actually joined chat proper.
And what a magical, controversial article to start my chatting on.
I’ll need to research and find out what your blog is now haha
Lol you actually changed you pic to a leak lol
Haha it’s a hybrid Pokémon/ Zelda blog that’s very much in its babby stages. Definitely didn’t make that comment to promote it though since that’s a jerk of a thing to do as a new member on someone else’sending site though so, whoops ^^;
Also your Leek needs more Farfetch’d!
*Uncontrollably laughing inside*
THERES A LEEK IN THE COMMENT SECTION

Hahaha
? welcome to the jungle! ?
btw, i also like Alolan Persian, it looks very very spoiled from all the luxury its been getting
Welcome to the Dark side, we have shiny legendaries.
I never got mine! Lol
I think it would look less disproportionate if the rest of the body would actually fit the head.. I even think if they had made the rest of the body more chubby I could like the design… maybe… probably..perhaps.. OTL
Right, that would work, too. Bulking out the rest without it turning into Purugly 2.0 would make it look more like a Persian cat, too. I think the fact that it’s still short haired on its body throws it off big time.
Poor Persian, this is ridiculous :/
It’s basically Garfield now.
Shame the Shiny isn’t bright orange.
im disappointed its not pink either because i wanted meowth to be pink for the pink panther
Da dada dada dada dada dada dadaaa dadadadadum
I don’t hate it. I don’t care for it either, but I definitely don’t hate it. It’s a chubby faced Persian……..That’s about it. lol
I really don’t like this thing. Pains me to say this, but a lot of these Alolan Formes are lame.
They are just another excuse to not make new cross-gen evolutions
And fan service for genwunners
Yep, they literally admitted that one
Mhm
Yep yep! And also another reason not to make a lot of new Pokemon. Alolan Formes were a good idea, just badly done imo.
Finally, someone agrees with me
we all know alolan dugtrio was only made as a joke nothing more
Honestly I don’t even understand that one
“Dugtrio wanted hair… so it got it” best reasoning
i read something on reddit that dugtrio’s hair is actually pele’s hair; a fiber-ish lava mostly found in hawaii
im hoping as a start to regional variants that the next region does alot better logical reasons and better design outputs and knowing that it wont be strict to gen 1
I agree 100%. When Alolan Formes were first announced I thought was it a dope idea, a great way to reinvent old Pokemon. But this was badly executed, GF really dropped the ball here.
yea me too! when i saw marowak (Even tho random ghost typing) i thought it was dope. i feel like after that we noticed a drop in quality of the forms
you know whats sad, during gen 4 people complained about cross-gen evos now when they were removed those same people complained that they were gone and wanted them back
Gen 5 came with alot of new pokemon, people complained that too much, gen 6 gave us very little and guess what THOSE PEOPLE WANTED MORE. its a endless cycle my friend
People actually complained there were too many Pokémon in gen 5!? Smh
alot of people thought the designs were lazy because there was too much
Hmm…
I don’t care about how many Pokemon are introduced, the number of evos etc., all I care about is that it’s a new installment in a series we all enjoy
i personally think gen 5’s designs were among the best
nobody cares, NX is all the news we need
this guy gets it
Alolan Golem is still the worst These alolan forms were so poorly executed. Just awful.
honestly im curious how it grew a gaint taser on its back
Yeah wtf is that thing.
Maybe it lives close to the volcano, and when the volcano is active it causes volcanic lightning which influenced the Geodude line to evolution to become a giant rock taser.
Still better than pancakes lol.
i swear they are butchering so many Ground types this gen
I only like the mudsdale line.
Wiglett Wig Wiglett Wig Trio Trio Trio
Whaaah? I love Alola Golem.
Let’s be honest, there’s nothing worth than dugtrio and her wig collection
Worse*
Dugtrio, Sandslash, Raticatte… arghh. There are so many better kanto pokes for alola forms. Golduck, Dodrio, Primeape, Rapidash, Arbok, DRAGONITE..
Sandslash was at least designed well,
Sandslash deserved some love though
And this…thing is a dark type. But regular Persian, the far more sinister-looking one, isn’t.
well they were pampered by royalty for who knows many decades,
thus birthing a strain of a more selfish spoiled breed of Meowth
but the evolution into Persian made it even more haughty
But how do you get a fat head by being spoiled? XD I mean if it was pampered with lots and lots of food I would understand if it was a chubby cat as a whole.. but not a slender cat with a balloon head… 🙁
I guess you could say that all that pampering…went to its head.
*insert weird Steven face here*
This god awful design didn’t even deserve an official reveal.
So…. Nothing ever happened to Dragonite and Zubat?
they were part of the “found in alola” also they could be one of the 11 unique z-moves who knows
Maybe the Dragonite, but not Zubat(Golbat, now that’s a different story)
Imagine the battle going dark and swarm of zubats attack you and its called “Gen 1 caves be like”
Hahahahahahahaha….No, No, Nooo, God please NO!
Yes.
Wait. Is there a reason behind Persian’s watermelon head?
ever see a Persian’s head?

Ok. No. The proportions of its head to its body are off. That cat’s got a fat head AND body. Persian is like Garfield without Lasagna.
Except it’s not orange
i honestly don’t care atm
it’s a stupid genetic miscarriage
This. This. THIS. SO MUCH THIS!! AAHH!
so is the nx trailer just being posted at 10am?
Assuming so. 40 more minutes.
Nintendo prepping this, they just released a new breathe of the wild trailer. I think its possibly we could see trailers upload by them of launch titles during day
they have 3 minutes to convince me they still know how to make home consoles
lol either you’re throwing money at your screen or rocks
Omg Paul your avatar :’)
Embarrassing thing is I did not even pick it because leak = leek, just was sick of looking at my face and wanted random image
am i pretty yet PJ?
hmmm give a twirl

You’re welcome~
thank you, the hype made me forgot how to read time
I actually really e enjoy Alolan Persian. At first, I thought that it was a gimmicky design, but when I look at it now, I just think it looks super sassy and spoiled like the backstory suggests. I can’t wait to see what kind of move pool it will have and the stat spread that it will receive.
Yeah the more I see it the more it grows on me. I still hold that they could have bulked out her body a bit or otherwise made the cheek floof more like floof, but I don’t hate it. When it was first shown I think I was more shocked by it than anything, but I’ve taught myself to not compare the new ones to their original designs, which I feel is part of the reason some people don’t like many of them.
That said some like Alolan Exeggutor are entertaining precisely because you do compare it to the original.
Ok. I’ve decided. This is definitely my team. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/6a671586f3f8bb51b14d59bedd36df58ecdceb75f887bd9635d2c86bbc79dbbf.jpg
Tsareena and Brionne are the bomb
Are you not evolving it into popplio3?
Well, this was supposed to be for @SomeGuy lol
100% agree
Persian needs to have a cool anime episode so people will stop hating it
isnt it crazy in 17 minutes we are gonna discover finally what the NX is
We’re about to see the future of games.
and finally Emily Rodgers can shut up lol
Im hoping NX has gamecube VC its time it finally gets some
Hopefully it’ll actually have games to play, nothing on the Wii U caught my eye until late 2014 (excluding Mario Kart 8)
Software library is something that everyone agrees will be a strong suit for the console. I just hope that’s true for both first party and third party.
Well, it’s practically got sales guaranteed since it’ll probably have a Mario Kart and a Smash Bros at some point in the future but I am hoping for more
Bayonetta 3 Bayonetta 3 Bayonetta 3I’m sure that will happen. I have Bayonetta 2 but I haven’t played it yet. I got the standalone version so I think I want to play Bayonetta on the X360 first.
I’d definitely recommend them, they’re amazing games
And thank goodness you’re not getting the PS3 version, its the very definition of ‘bad port’
I made sure to do my research 😛
Alolan Persian definitely needs medical attention. Preferably by doctor who administers lethal injections…
Before we transition to a new generation, let’s take a trip to the forest…the Forest of Hope.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSbWPES-87g
this to transition to the breathe of the wild trailers theme
I’m goona need a forest of hope
Anyone else have a Livedex? I just had to sort out space for the Alola Forms and its an absolute nightmare
Yes, but I’ll probably put the alolans in my “forms” box.
These flutes look awesome……….according to Z-move and mega evo button screen u can’t use together, so wat should happen in Mega Rayquaza case?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArNdThqpWMw
They might make it where Rayquaza has to hold a Mega Stone, or even the meteorite, to Mega Evolve.
I thought Alolan persian was going to look similar to mine, and just seeing it in the data mine it just disappointed me as a whole.

Alright crappy work wi-if don’t fail me now!
