It’s that time of the month again! The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel has just dropped a new trailer for Pokémon Sun & Moon showcasing information on Silvally, Kommo-o and even more Pokémon

- Type: Null evolves into Silvally, a Normal type Pokémon. Silvally has the RKS System ability that allows it to change type while holding certain items, it can change to any of the 18 types.
- Silvally’s new move Multi-Attack matches the Pokémon’s current type
- Hakamo-o and Kommo-o are Jangmo-o’s evolution. They are both Dragon/Fighting type with the Bulletproof/Soundproof ability
- Kommo-o has a unique move: Clanging Scales
- Steenee is Bounsweet’s evolution, which evolves into Tsareena
- Tsareena has a new ability called Queenly Majesty and move Trop Kick
- Cutiefly evolves into Ribombee the Bug/Fairy type Pokémon, with the ability Honey Gather/Shield Dust
- Grimer and Muk both have Alola Forms and are Poison/Dark type
- Mega Kangaskhan’s ability Parental Bond has been adjusted so that the second move now does 25% damage
- Olivia is the Kahuna of Akala Island, she specialises in Rock type Pokémon, one of which appears to be Nosepass
- Ilima is a Trial Captain who specialises in Normal type Pokémon

I like how its combined words are Tsar (ruler in Russia) and ballerina. Pretty fitting.
Well, Tsarina is also the word for the Tsar’s wife. :p

I love Olivia’s design, I guessed Rock type from the moment I saw her due to this crystal things on her.
And Illmia looks like a normal type Trial captain, looks alright to me.

So what exactly are Kahunas? Are they the Gym leader replacements or should I see them as elite 4 equalivents?
More or less their the leaders of trial captains, and it does seem that they have specialty’s. Like it seems that this new lovely lady loves her rocks, and Hala’s likely the fighting specialist. I’d probably classify them as super gym leaders.

Yes and no. Context is everything. He might use Tapu at a later point in the game as a special fight, but when fighting him during the island challenge, we clearly see he has a level 15 crabbrawler among his 3 pokemon.
Neither, really. They’re just strong trainers you fight, not everything needs to be equivalent. But since they are four and are the strongest trainers on their island, I’d say E4.
It seems like each island has a Trial Captain, who has a specific task for you to complete, and a Kahuna, which is more akin to Gym Leaders with a straight forward battle. Four islands with two of these trainers each would equal eight trainers, so it’s similar to how the amount of Gym Leaders we needed to defeat in previous generations.
Actually, Mallow, Kiawe and Lana have all been predicted to be on the same island, so it looks like some islands have multiple trials.
If that is true, then I wonder how many of these Trial Captains and Kahunas we’ll be facing.
Seeing as we have a Kahunas and Trial Captains, I was thinking about 12-14 captains? Seeing as Akala has 4 (starter types and maybe Sophocles due to Electric being a fourth ‘starter type’ and him being revealed at the same time) and the biggest island will probably have more, I don’t think 4 is too farfetched.

we know that there are 4 Kahunas, one for every island. 18 types – 4, brings it down to 14 possible trial captains. We now know of 5 trial captains, so we’re down to 9 possible captains.
Neither, they are Kahuna’s. it’s a very Hawaiian tradition in fact. They’re essentially the leaders and protectors of the islands.

Then a central figure in charge.
Cutiefly’s evo is perfect, I hope it evolves one more time to be honest just to have a more complete design and get rid of Honey Gather.

The Pokémon usually do… which is why it always amuses me when people make negative and dissenting comments about a design they’ve only seen in blurry corocoro leaks 😛
in the past the pokemon looked better in the artwork, but for some reason the artwork these days seems rushed and doesnt fully showcase the beauty of the pokemon
Their official artwork don’t do them justice because I really didn’t like Kommo-o when I first saw it.
Man, it’s like Attack of the Girly Pokemon this gen. They’re really making up for lost time it seems. Also, 72% sure Ilima is a dude. Haven’t seen anything else saying otherwise.

Well, Olivia is a type specialist and it only follows Hala is too. And he uses a pure fighting type.
I’m not questioning the specialist part. I’m questioning the type. Hala uses Tapu KoKo so i assumed if anything he would be fairy or electric. But people are saying fighting now. I haven’t seen said screenshot that showed him using said fighting type yet

Tbf, the bounsweet evos actually have great colours and a sleek design. It’m just really dissapointed we’re getting humanoids rather than more plant-like stuff.

New trailet new Pokemon and information. I am hyped for these games. I didn’t expect Bounsweet ti be a 3 stage evo. Nor did I see Type: Null get an evolution so similar to Arceus and Genesect in a manner. This gen seems to pull surprises for me, but I wonder, will we have to battle these trial captains after completing the trails as a of recognization?

Multi-attack looks really underwhelming, and has nothing to do with it’s name. It sounds/looks like it should be called charge claw or something.
I agree. Either have a name that matches what it does or have it attack more than once. RKS Claw wouldn’t have been a bad name for it.
It’s meant to literally be a knock-off of Arceus. The move would end up being pronounced Arceus Claw which might as well mean God Claw.
Today’s trailer was phenomenal. Originally, I loved Type: Null albeit I thought someone made an error in the trailer resulting in the interesting name. But, with the introduction of Silvally, he’s secured a position on my team. The Bounsweet is a very interesting to say the least, albeit I hope that the gender ratio is leaning towards a full female population, since its a Queen figure among its people. Overall loved the music in the trailer, which is Gladion’s theme, and am hyped for Sun and Moon.
Which version are you guys getting? I’m getting both, one for me and the other for my sister.
I’m telling ya, Type:Null seems to me like a pokemon you’d get in the post game or after you defeat team skull/AF. Not good for a first runthrough, imo. They’re not just gonna be running around in the wild 😛
Hopefully. A friend of mine calls it the “Poor Man’s Arceus” and it seems powerful. I wish this things stats were more physical, as its main attack sounds special, much like how Judgement is special.

Gen 7 introduces 2 Pokemon that are immune to priority moves. Pretty crazy if you think about it

The ability to block priority is powerful. Imagine setting up and not being able to die to priority? Its amazing, considering as though this pokemon is gonna be fast according to the description on the website.

To finish things off, yes. Especially if its faster than it. With Bruxish it doesn’t look as fast, so it doesn’t really help it. But with the Queen, it could be high UU/OU
