Am I the only one who feels they should change the daycare so that the pokemon you put in don’t learn moves as they level up? Or maybe at least have the option? That would solve the problem of them overriding egg moves you want to pass on
It would be nice, but I could also see it being a coding nightmare. Here’s hoping though they have done something like that for Sun and moon, given they clearly have been putting resources into the features and not the engine this time around.

I don’t think so. Just add a flag to the day care as to if it should learn moves. If the flag is true, don’t learn moves through level up, if false, do learn moves
But Egg moves will always be passed down when in the day care
It only changes when you take out the Father of the egg moves after it learns new moves in place but that doesn’t occur unless you remove the father
But if it’s like a level 1 father with egg moves won’t the daycare just get rid of them quickly? I thought that’s how it works? So you’re saying as long as you keep the father in there the whole time the egg moves will still transfer even thought they’re overwritten?

You leave a lvl 1 3IV Gible with Iron Head in the day care with your Ditto in hopes of getting 5-6ivs
It manages to grow 16 levels in the time you check on it
all Offspring will still know Iron Head unless the Gible is removed because only after its out its move set would fill in by naturally learned moves
I.e. The now level 17 Gible It would now know Sand Attack, Sandstorm Dragon Rage and Take Down
Daycare never delete Eggmoves by growth
There’s still the problem of when you take it out you’ll have to go to the move relearner and waste heart scales. I feel it’d just be easier if they don’t learn moves at all. -shrug-

I’ve wanted this for a long time, it would mean using way less Heart Scales, or not having to level up the parent Pokémon until they can’t learn any more moves. At least you can evolve stone evolvers at level 1 and they largely don’t learn anything new naturally after that.

So what are people expecting in Corocoro apart from Type:Null info? I’m expecting the fossils and maybe a new Alolan form or two. Not expecting a blowout or anything though because GF have been toning down pokémon reveals in favour of features recently, which is great.

Sorry if someone has already purposed, but What if those four possible guess weren’t randomly selected. What if one of them is the evo for Salandit, and the other three are yet revealed pokemon. We already have a hint at this given were assuming that the water starter line is going to end up as a Siren. Just my random thoughts.

I see where you are coming from, but look at the previous things he’s leaked: litleo and zubat before solgaleo and lunala were revealed. These mascots could have been anything, any troll leaker could have said they were dragons and it would have beeb more believable. Pikachu covered in a sheet, again is pretty specific. When asked about bewear’s english name before it was revealed, he simply replied “beware of fake leaks” and once more, awfully specific. I dont doubt this guy one bit, but i do think he’s a bit too inconspicuous sometimes.
I haven’t heard a single good argument against the riddler. He’s gotten plenty of things correct that weren’t just guesses.

Its like saying its design is inspired by it to some degree, like saying that you could see Infernape connect to Sun Wukong. Is the pokemon a freaking monkey god thing? No, but it clearly is based off of it, and you could say that it relates to it. As well, you have to keep in mind that these hint are coming from someone who speaks Chinese. Translators will do their best to make sense of it, but sometimes they’ll use poor choices of verbs.

What if they introduced the concept of inbreeding in S/M? Like if you breed a parent with an offspring (like you do sometimes in IV breeding and such) its stats are actually worse or maybe it has deformations lol. That would be an awful yet slightly more realistic take on breeding.
That would make breeding much more irritating, especially if you’re trying to go for perfect IV distribution.

Yeah it really would only be fair to give Special attack an equivalent nerfing status. They should also introduce an Intimidate variant that hits special attack IMO.

For physical, we have abilities like Tough Claws,Huge Power,Strong Jaws.
Easily accessible coverage moves like earthquake,The Elemental Punches,and priority moves.
Great boosting moves in swords dance and dragon dance shift which almost every pokemon has

Most special moves are 80 and above well the physical moves of the same type are generally stronger excluding ice water and electric.
Plus that doesn’t excuse the fact that all special attackers have next to no coverage moves.
I always seen some kinda Asian Mythology feel with Crawdaunt DDance (don’t forget its in the same egg group as some dragons)

You say that but it’s still damned hard, I still only have 1 shiny, and that’s from Gen 3, and I didn’t even know it was shiny till I used it.
I’d like that very much, but I’d also like the Shiny Charm to accompany those odds. That way, there’s still a substantial reward for completing the ‘Dex, but don’t hunting is still immensely difficult.
0.00049 is only about 5 times higher than that with shiny charm. The shiny charm is a great reward for people who put the time into completing the dex. 0.00024 without it is a fine probability. Masuda method I think is a bit ridiculous though tbh, I wouldn’t be too upset if they got rid of that.

It would seem that GF got a little confused or rushed with their timing though.. something. I mean did hoopa even have a small story in the game… Will this pokemon? It seems they left it to the movies to make them relevant and cut them out the games. I don’t understand. Maybe this is typical.
