The next batch of Pokémon Sun & Moon news has been confirmed for September 14th! As usual we’re expecting another brand new trailer that will most likely lineup with whatever new info we get in this month’s CoroCoro (which could leak as early as the 9th).
At this point it’s all up in in the air on what we could get: Starter evolutions? More Ultra Beasts? The secret behind Rockruff’s evolution? Gary Oak’s Alolan form? Another evil organization?
Either way, the news drop will happen on September 14th at 10PM JST – which is 6AM PST, 9AM EST, 2pm BST, and 11pm AEST! So stay tuned because we’ll be sure to be here to cover it the moment it drops!
UPD: In addition to this, TV Tokyo has confirmed that a big announcement will air alongside next week’s anime episode. It’s unknown what the announcement will bring but we’ll update as and when it happens!

Tbh I don’t think we’ll get the starter evolutions until October, but I think it’s damn time we see Rockruff’s so we can see if these leaks saying it has a split evolution is real lol

Whatever we get on the 14th will most likely be the same as what we get in CoroCoro.
CoroCoro is always released the 15th of each month, but we can always expect leaks starting from the 9th of each month.
Honestly, getting the Starter Pokemon Middle Stages wouldn’t be too much of a stretch, considering XY’s Middle Stages were shown in the October issue of Corocoro, which did release right around this time.
Plus, it’s a little strange that we’ve gotten so much crazy new info, but one of the biggest and most desired bits of news has gone unannounced still. (That being the Middle stages of the starters.)
But XY were released early October. Sun and Moon won’t come until mid November. I wouldn’t expect to see starter evos just yet.
People have been saying that for weeks.
I just hope there are still surprises left when the game comes out!

Same bro. If kitten is fighting, it’s a no go for me. Only because I won’t be able to fathom why game freak would make a 4th fire/fighting starter when there’s 16 other possible combinations for dual typing. But if litten does [and please god let this be true] become dark type then I’ll love it forever and we will live a happy life
even if it isn’t, the design just screams “might as well be fire/fighting” ive always used the grass starter in every game and none of them have ever disappointed in the design department but damn did that litten evo ruin it for me.

Has anybody ever noticed, that behind the Sundial in Anistar City are a group of islands and an ocean, but that doesn’t make sense at all because Anistar City isn’t on a coastline or near the ocean on the Kalos map. Its located near mountains.

It’s not so obvious on the in-game map, but the official artwork shows that a river runs by it, and widens out around Anistar. Although proportions still seem off, it does make the imagery make a bit more sense. Mountains could be the league in the background judging off of the official artwork.

The problem with comparing real world maps to in game maps is that because the games are traditionally tile based they always locked the game to a single north-facing view so the in game map never seems to match up with the art version 😛
But yeah, they’re probably in the river.
I mean, I will admit, a lot of the locations in XY had me confused in the beginning, especially with the images no longer being locked in a consistently north-facing position.
Coumarine City still confuses me sometimes.
I must admit, splitting a city in two was a weird idea.
But to be honest I never revisited Coumarine, so I kind of forgot about it 😛
I was leaning on more towards Moon before but I don’t really like playing the games during the night (I even change my 3DS clock so it’s always sunny). I just hope Sun has the exclusives I want. I need the whole pokedex to leak already so I can make my team!

Would it be possible that Sugimori/pokemon designers are actually redesigning the final evolutions of Litten Popplio and Rowlet? I mean Sugimori blocked several people on twitter who sent him leaks of the final evolutions – and tbh i wouldn’t be too upset if they did redesign them…

I don’t think it’s possible. We’re two months away from the release, I don’t think at this point they would scrap three Pokémon and create three new ones from scratch, build models, fully program them and what not.

The next news update will show Rockruff’s evolution, a few new Pokemon, covering a few new characters, and potentially starter evolutions. I feel like we will see the evolutions in September!

Honestly it wouldn’t bother me. I didn’t mind the small amount of Pokemon in XY. What bothered me was the empty world they put them in. Sun and Moon seem to be teeming with all kinds of tings so I don’t think that’ll be a problem lol

I personally don’t believe it’s made from specific parts of other Pokemon and I’m shocked that so many fans are reaching to make these connections… I’ve heard everything from vaporeon to poplio to arceus to dialga to skatmory, rowlett, dusclops and yanmega. Aside from the fact that this is NOT how dna works (read: you don’t just mix up Dna and get specific body parts from the original strand) , how would the creators of Type Null ever get the Dna of fucking Arceus?? He’s more of like a man made mutant creature. A hodgebodge of creatures.
