Although the official new trailers are expected tomorrow, someone it seems has gotten their hands on an early version of the video and leaked some of its contents.
- Pyukumuku is the English name for Namakobushi and is a pure Water-type with the ability Innards Out
- Alolan Raichu is now Electric/Psychic with the ability Surge Surfer which doubles its speed on Electric Terrain
- Morelull is a new Grass/Fairy-type Pokémon with the abilities Illuminate & Effect Spore
- Team Skull keeps its name from the Japanese versions and is led by Guzma, with Plumeria being a Team Admin.
- Alolan Meowth is a Dark-type with the abilities Pick-up & Technician
- Wishiwashi is the English name for Yowashi and its new ability is Schooling which activates when something reaches a certain level (HP? Stats?)
- Alolan Marowak is now Fire/Ghost-type and has the abilities Lightning Rod & Cursed Body

Yesss! So far the Water types shown are pretty coolio, and I can’t wait to use em.
I want to play through it so many different ways. Dx But after the first playthrough I want to do a Nuzlocke. I love it because it adds to difficulty, and it gives me a reason to use and start to like pokemon I would never use.
I could do that too, though if I failed I will just continue and finish the game and nuzlocke again when I get to the other game.

Yeah, this community’s great. It’s been a few years since I’ve been really active here, but I always have it in my mind.
Right I think I was last active when mega pokemon were being introduced lol so that should give an indication as to when that was. Plus my avatar is from back then… I miss the talks about pokemon we all would have so I will most likely become active agai, if not already trying to be.

I’m indifferent to Bruxish. My only issue with it is the flower appendage. I’m perfectly ok with the shocking pink, the snarling jaws and the psychedelic patterns.

Those are likely. Could be any of the more minor pokemon like Cutiefly, Bounsweet, Wimpod (could be like clauncher), Pyukumuku. They’re not gonna make oricorio, comfey, mudsdale, etc. version exclusives since they all serve a purpose or are gimmicky and too special. The others I mentioned aren’t exactly the most special compared to the others.
I ask about that many time ……stupidly no the previous dex leake didn’t metion that I didn’t y we believe in it.

I’m so happy 🙂 so much new information! I’m excited to say that this will be my first time raising a marowack so I’m looking forward to all its cool new moves. It’s design is so bad ass. I think I’m also going to end raising a psychic raitchu. I don’t think the typing makes much sense but it looks really cool. Alolan pikachu confirmed 🙂 i will use a sandslash this gen depending on what other steel are available.

So I just thought of something! In the screencap with Guzma and Kukui, Guzma says to Kukui “Fellow rejects who never could become captains”
What if Guzma and Kukui have a history together? Guzma using the term captains and rejected leads me to believe that the two of them tried to become trial captains at some point in their past and both failed. However Kukui took his failure in stride and eventually became a Pokemon professor while Guzma took his failure badly and founded team Skull. It could be a lesson in how we should learn to learn from our mistakes and failures blah blah blah

However, I know some people brought up that he might be referring to Team Skull itself, that all of them are rejects of the trial challenge.
I’m still more partial to him talking about the both of them, though, it just looks that way to me.
Hmm could definitely see all of team skull being trial captain rejects but seeing as I’d love a story where the professor and evil team leader used to be buds in leaning towards that lol. It could have such cool moments everytime they meet up!
Yeah, I feel there is definitely more story potential if they have that history together :3 And I love the idea of them being foils, like they both had the same thing happen to them, but both went different paths. <3 I really love foils in any story really, shows how different people can be similar yet different at the same time 🙂

I am really TURNT UP off of these unique abilities! I know it’s a lot of programming or whatever but I think Pokés should have more unique abilities, and I’m happy that almost every Poké revealed so far has a niche.
And hopefully the terrain moves get a buff/become useful. Raichu is a step in the right direction

I’m wondering…do you think that all 1st gen pokemon in the islands will get an alola form? I mean, we saw a meowth in our home in its normal form and we now know that it has an alola form so the fact that we saw a normal gyarados and dragonite does not mean they will not have a new form. It would be really cool if we get 151 new old pokemon styles and types.
Maybe not all the family line (like exggecute) but all final evolutions. Also I would leave out pokemon that already change type with mega evo (like gyarados) but those megas who doesn’t change type will get an alola form and a new mega type (like Alakazam).
I was wondering that too. But will probably be too much. I do hate the fact that it feels like they do these things randomly/popularity contest (a bit like mega evo).
