Today’s the day! Or, it was supposed to be until new Pokémon from Sun & Moon were leaked and then officially revealed yesterday. Even so, we’re still expecting a modicum of new Pokémon information in addition to an English trailer! The Japanese and Western trailers have all differed so far, so we may just see something we didn’t see last night! The official English site contains new details about last night’s Pokémon!
We now have the official English trailer and some new updates:
- Charjabug has a new ability, Battery: “Charjabug has the Battery Ability, an Ability not seen before in any other Pokémon. The Battery Ability allows it to raise the power of allies’ special moves.”
- Vikavolt has the ability Levitate
- Tapu Koko has the ability Electric Surge which creates Electric Terrain when it enters battle. It also knows the brand-new attack Nature’s Madness which decreases opponent’s HP by half. It’s closed form is teased to be used at certain special times… It is also the guardian of Melemele Island
- Bruxish is the Gnash Teeth Pokémon and has the abilities Dazzling and Strong Jaw. The former is a new ability which prevents opponents from using priority moves that strike first (appears to block only offensive moves from description)
- Cutiefly is the Bee Fly Pokémon and has the abilities Honey Gather and Shield Dust
- Drampa is the Placid Pokémon and sports the abilities Beserk and Sap Sipper. It’s Sp. Attack will increase by 1 if its HP drops below half for the former ability, a new addition to the game
- Komala is the Drowsing Pokémon and has the ability Comatose which keeps it asleep and safe from other status conditions
- Rockruff is the Puppy Pokémon and has abilities Keen Eye and Vital Spirit
- Togedemaru is the Roly-Poly Pokémon (omg, how adorable) and has the abilities Iron Barbs and Lightning Rod
- We also have confirmation that Zubat will appear in the wild!

I think it’s just part of the blue comet effects. You can see the circular sparkles on the green one clearly, so I’m just guessing it just went on top of the blue one and makes it seem like a unique Pokeball variant.
It’s the lighting. I know your talking about the upper left corner. It’s a regular Pokeball. Remember, these are some weak early game Pokemon their trading.

I………WANT…….TO……..PLAY…….THIS……..GAME………NOW!!!!!!!!! Everything we’ve seen has been amazing. I had my doubts about some of these new Pokemon, but I don’t mind them anymore! I just want to play and explore then entire region! The Alola region and gen 7 as a whole may end up being my favorite one yet if the rest of the Pokemon and the story are as we’ve already seen lol

I have a feeling an ability as good as this might be lost when it evolves (Kind of like Charjabug’s battery). Where Komala’s evolution is like Vigoroth to slakoth.
At the very least slakoth has Giga Impact
If Charjabug has enough stats, Eviolite will be viable on it. And even if it isn’t, Focus Sash can be used.
I can see it being Doubles support in Battle Maison (or its replacement), if it at least has Protect, Helping Hand or Endeavor.

It might be charge beam, I’m not sure because I don’t remember the X/Y animation for that move. Nevertheless, with all of the new electric Pokemon it is very likely for there to be a new electric move coming up.

I’m of the opinion that we always should get at least one per generation (mandatory, you know?)
We should get a Dragon. It’s the last of the remaining Special types, and Eevee has always been a Special type.
I for one would like smth more physical, but I’d like to see how a dragon type eevee would look like.
Even if that’s true, a few of the eevees are offensively prone.
That’s because of the Physical/Special split. But the types have always been those that used to be classified as Special, and I even think Fairy would be a Special back in the days.

I always thought even number gens were the ones that we get evolutions in, they are also typically a smaller number of pokemon in them. Which I found weird as to how gen 6 broke this in a way by only having sylveon, and gen 3 I don’t count because the only pokemon that fit in this category were wynaught and azumaril

I think mega evolutions were part of this trend. They are basically new Pokemon designs and we got dozens of them.
you know what, that is very true if we counted the megas then that would make it fit the pattern again but that would also mean less megas this gen, if any. I am confident we will get tons of pokemon this gen though just based on the pattern

exactly, I must say though there is a certain feel I get from pokemon in the gens, like they either feel like kanto-esque in design (being Kanto, Hoenn and Unova) or Johto-esque in design (being Johto, Sinoh, and Kalos) but for some reason I do not get a Kanto feel from these pokemon but more of a johto feel in their designs, I know I’m probably not making much sense but it makes sense to me lol, there are just certain elements and colours and such that just give off this similar vibe

I suppose when more pokemon are revealed it’ll give a better picture, but looking back now I retract my statement, they do give off a odd gen vibe with the exception of Drampa, Drampa in design seems very kalos/kanto vibe
