For those with a keen eye: the trailer appears to tease a new bird Pokémon with a similar appearance to Fletchling.

  1. I know this is a small feature, most likely won’t return, but I would LOVE if the medal system came back from B2W2. I love doing after game achievements so much, it feels like there is more to do

  2. Considering Cynthia’s liking for tropical areas, maybe this region is where she’s from…? I know, I’m just profusely picking the short end of the straw by now… XD

  3. I only have a few more core Pokemon games to own before I “catch them all”. Ruby, Sapphire, Leafgreen, Diamond, Pearl and SoulSilver are all of them. I’m going to make it my new goal, in honor of Pokemon’s 20th anniversary, to complete this collection before Sun and Moon release.

    • Soul Silver might be pretty hard/expensive to get. Last time I checked, it (along with Heart Gold and Emerald), were comparatively priced pretty high. I guess if it’s used, it’ll be a lot cheaper, though.

      • Yeah I know :/ I’m going to do it in phases though. Probably one of these games per month for the next 6 months. There’s no way I would get them all at once.

  4. Remember when Junichi said that Pokémon Sun + Moon would take all of what Pokemon’s offered so far and combinemake use of it into the new games…. Well

Both the Sun + Moon control different things.
    Sun – Seasons
    Moon – Tides
Then we have Lunar and Solar eclipse’s.

But then we have the Moon affecting Tides and gravity causing lanj and sea conflicts.

The Sun+ Moon affects Seasons So this could mean that Pokémon Sun could have a much heavier focus on the Spring and Summer Seasons . While Pokémon Moon is heavily focused on Autumn and Winter.

I have a BIG FEELING that lunar and Solar eclipses will play a part in the story. Causing the Sun to be blocked out or the Moon being blocked out can be devastating for the ecosystem if done for a prolonged period of time.

  5. Told myself I would catch every Shiny Legendary in Omega Ruby before the new games were released.

Not living up to that right now. And now I have a time limit.

  6. Wasn’t Machamp able to learn Fissure in Red/Blue? And since you can transfer pokemon from Red/Blue to Sun/Moon.. No Guard Machamp w/ Fissure new meta?

    Reply
      • In Gen I, right? But I’ve read that abilities like No Guard completely ignore OHKO moves’ accuracies, unless they change that in Sun/Moon which they’re free to do since it is possible that it’s a new gen

        Reply
        • Well For starters Abilities don’t exist until gen 3
And OHKO moves are always have a set accuracy, trust me, if not Fissure Machamp would already have been popular

          • Yeah I knew that, but wouldn’t abilities be added onto a Pokemon upon transferring from R/B to S/M? And my guess as to why no one uses Fissure Machamp is that it’s illegal, since it’s only available in Gen I and you are unable to transfer Pokemon from Gen I to the lastest games up until this point

          • Yup, read it off Bulbapedia haha but yeah it’s likely they’ll change how No Guard works in Sun and Moon. Unless they forget.. *cough* Steel Wing Elgyem

          • Yes never mind you are correct My bad, It would in fact work, Im sorry. But my guess the mach amp would have guts ability not No Guard.

  7. I find it interesting that they didn’t give a release month for these games yet. For both XY and ORAS, they said what month we would see them from the first time they were revealed. Maybe they haven’t quite come to a decision yet.

  8. All this talk about the environment, the Sun/Moon, and how flowers fit into the equation is compelling and is like a puzzle you know you can solve because of its simplicity but because of the many variables in play, it’s still immensely adversarial to put your fingers on it. HYPE!

    • Oh yeah! I forgot about the flowers…hmmm…I thought about this before, but I thought, maybe the country the region is based on has a lot of gardens? I looked some nearby European countries that could fit, and the one I thought fi the best was Spain, considering the architecture we see, so HYPEEEE

  9. As for the question, I’ll definitely be buying Pokemon Moon because that sounds so ethereal and captivating! And… I like feminine things! 😀 XD

  10. Since tomorrow is the anniversary, think there’ll be a snippet of something? Sorry but my hype level is over 9000 right about now haha

  11. Not that likely but considering the Moon/Sun theme, could we possibly get Zodiac based Pokémon? Constellations are visible at night but these twelve are on the sun’s eliptic so it’d sort of fit both? I know we already got a Leo and Taurus, for example, but GF has repeatedly used the same based animals for different Pokémon? Just living the dream while we’re out in the dark. I would LOVE a centaur Pokémon.

  12. I made a reply with the flowers thing, but one day I thought about the flowers clue, and I was thinking maybe the country the region is based on has a lot of flowers/lots of gardens. I don’t remember all the ones that had a potential (keep in mind, I searched nearby countires to France), but the one that has a lot of gardens that has a similar architecture/feel is Spain, so maybe it’s something to keep in mind? I dunno.

    • It is interesting, but there are a TON of moon and sun gods and goddess in every culture. Maybe they are making it worldwide but taking in details fromn most of them? I dunno.
And I feel it would be a step backward to focus on Japan and not worldwide. There was a tribute in XY at the credits that showed how connected we are. I feel it would go back on that, in a way. I understand focusing on a domestic audience, but I feel they can do that without focusing back on Japan in the new region/mythology.
      But that’s my two cents.

    • I finally had the time to come and watch this and I do like the idea a lot! Even if I’m quite wanting to believe the Hawaii theory. Either way, thank you so much for letting me know about it! I appreciate it.

  13. As part of the implied improved graphics that will come with the 7th generation, I think we should raise our expectations even more. Could we see 3D throughout the entire game, like every other 3DS game is able to manage? I’d say that’s almost a certainty. If they could somehow pull off 60fps at the same time, we’d have some amazing-looking content.

  14. I’m fired up for the idea of a Red Hot Ox Starter
(My naming skills ain’t what they used to be)
    Pyrox Fire
    Tempaurus Fire/Ground
    Infernox Fire/Ground

They are my kin with a frothing temper, when they get so worked up their body reaches temperature over 200 Degrees, Once angered they run rampant burning everything in their path

  15. Hey all, I’m sorry if this has already been asked elsewhere, but who are the three pokemon in the green truck/ute? The one in the foreground is furfrou, the one behind it is Wobbuffet, but what’s the tall pokemon? It kinda looks like either Hawlucha (possible Hawlucha evo, I’m 99% certain Hawlucha itself is too short) or Machoke/Machamp.
