How To Find Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Mega Stones

Welcome to the “How To…” series for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, to help players identify some of the harder-to-find aspects of the games. Now, without further ado, let’s jump right into today’s topic, which will cover Mega Stones. These Mega Stones will only be the Mega Stones that are present in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and I will only be covering half of them. The remaining half will be covered in Saturday’s article.

First up, we have the Diancite. In order to recieve this, you will need to head to a Pokemon Center after transferring Diancie over from Pokemon X or Pokemon Y. This can be done at any point in the game, but keep in mind that you will need to recieve the Heat Badge from Flannery before it obeys you.

Next, the Audinite. In order to recieve the Mega Stone of the only Generation V Mega Evolution to date, you will need to complete the main story as well as the Delta Episode, and you will find a certain Detective at the Battle Frontier who will give it to you…

Next we have the Galladite, which you might remember from your last battle with Wally at Victory Road. In order to recieve this, you will need to head to Fallarbor Town after the Delta Episode to recieve it from Professor Cosmo.

To get the Lopunnite, you will need to head to Mauville Hills and stop a conflict arising between two men. One of those men will reward you with this Mega Stone after helping him. This can only be done after you have caught Kyogre or Groudon in the Cave of Origin, but can be done before you defeat Wallace’s Gym.

Now, it gets a little bit more complicated. For the Latiosite and the Latiasite, you will recieve the Latiosite in Alpha Sapphire from your mother after the Delta Episode has been completed, and you will get the Latiasite on Southern Island after being escorted by Steven on Route 118. The exact opposite will occur in Omega Ruby. Hmm… isn’t it interesting how you will catch the Pokemon whose color is opposite to that of its version. Sound familiar? Anyways, although you are able to recieve both Mega Stones in either game, you will need the Eon Ticket to obtain the Eon Pokemon that is opposite to your version. For more information how to do that, check out an article that our fellow moving posted a while back- http://pokejungle.net/2014/11/29/get-eon-ticket-pokemon-omega-ruby-alpha-sapphire/

To recieve the Metagrossite, you can do one of two things. You can participate in the Beldum Event which runs until January 14th, 2015, where you can recieve a Shiny Beldum as well as a Metagrossite. If you happen to miss out on this event or want to grab an extra one, you can get one from Steven after rematching the Elite Four once.

And finally, you can recieve the Salamancite from Zinnia’s grandmother after you have completed the Delta Episode.

Well, that’s all for this week! Let me know in the comments if this is a series that you guys feel would be useful and you’d like for me to continue. Tune back in this Saturday for the second half of the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Mega Stone locations!

  1. I have to painstakingly go through the Battle Maison in XY to get an upgrade to obtain a Porygon2 for the completion of my National Dex in ORAS. I had to breed a competitive Porygon so I don’t have to go through this hellhole ever again. ;~;

    • Slow and steady. I haven’t made a team yet xD I just started one, but I need to wait to get an Everstone since I accidentally sold it.

        • I have one, no worries, in my X and Y. I just need to wait for my bff to come over so I can get both my Everstone and Destiny Knot (since that couple rematching then you might get it concept sucks). Also, I’m borrowing one of her level 100s to get Reshiram and Zekrom.

          • I looked it up and that’s the one way…unless you have a secret pal thingy which I don’t xD No worries, I’ll find a way to get it.
            For both? xD
OR: Swampert (Axol), Shiftry (Tengu), Manectric (Rai), Walrein (Candice), Camerupt (Vesuvius), Metagross (Event one, but I secretly nicknamed it Aurelia in my mind)
AS: Blaziken (El Diablo), Gardevoir (Athena), Ludicolo (Fiesta), Banette (Alma), Aggron (Trahern), Flygon (Mindy)
I finished my last final Wednesday so I’m back home on winter break hang in there

          • I looked it up too and you can get it from your fans if you do master rank contests
Anyway I’ll get it somehow too.
I think AS is your “Main”. You have great teams 😀
            My AS team is :
Sceptile (Evergreen), Altaria(no name), Sharpedo(Courtney), Manectric (Laxus), Camerupt (Flare) and Claydol (Bickslow)
I don’t start the winter break until the next week.

    • There are. Just most of us haven’t had time to work on stuff. I work 8-5 and 6-9 Tuesdays and Thursdays and class every other day. There are reasons.

  2. While mega beedrill is fun to use. It’s annoying that I have to waste a move slot for protect to get the mega speed boost.its easy to predict around . However, it hits like a truck

  3. I don’t really understand the whole doubles/VGC arguement for mega audino. Why would you use your mega slot for a support Pokemon when you could use it for mega mence, bro, Mawile or kangaskhan. Also Cresslia, florges and clefable slyveon are a thing. Mega audino is garbage

    • That’s the point. It isn’t affected by common typing like Ghost and Dragon, but has great support moves. It isn’t offensive so it sucks. I may try using it eventually though.

      • Yeah it’s a great support Pokemon. It would be good for a regular evolution but for a mega, nah. There’s competition for a team’s mega slot and I think most people would want a power house ( mawile, mence or gallade) over audino

  5. It has come down to this.
All of my pokemon have beaten every one of his pokemon.
    Manectric defeated Skarmory.
    Shiftry defeated Aggron.
    Gardevoir defeated Armaldo.
    Altaria defeated Cradily.
    Delcatty defeated Claydol.
And now, Mega Swampert vs. Mega Metagross.

I went on my Sapphire earlier today to transfer a Regice to ORAS (I don’t want to catch it b/c I want to hunt for a shiny one, but my Ds is being annoying and is making me wait 24 hrs ;~;)
Anyways i found a Box called “FEEBAS” with ~15 feebas (all caught in route 119), one of which was level 31, another level 34 (I guess I failed at making them evolve?), and one lvl 30 female Milotic :3
