How To Find Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Mega Stones

Welcome to the “How To…” series for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, to help players identify some of the harder-to-find aspects of the games. Now, without further ado, let’s jump right into today’s topic, which will cover Mega Stones. These Mega Stones will only be the Mega Stones that are present in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and I will only be covering half of them. The remaining half will be covered in Saturday’s article.

First up, we have the Diancite. In order to recieve this, you will need to head to a Pokemon Center after transferring Diancie over from Pokemon X or Pokemon Y. This can be done at any point in the game, but keep in mind that you will need to recieve the Heat Badge from Flannery before it obeys you.

Next, the Audinite. In order to recieve the Mega Stone of the only Generation V Mega Evolution to date, you will need to complete the main story as well as the Delta Episode, and you will find a certain Detective at the Battle Frontier who will give it to you…

Next we have the Galladite, which you might remember from your last battle with Wally at Victory Road. In order to recieve this, you will need to head to Fallarbor Town after the Delta Episode to recieve it from Professor Cosmo.

To get the Lopunnite, you will need to head to Mauville Hills and stop a conflict arising between two men. One of those men will reward you with this Mega Stone after helping him. This can only be done after you have caught Kyogre or Groudon in the Cave of Origin, but can be done before you defeat Wallace’s Gym.

Now, it gets a little bit more complicated. For the Latiosite and the Latiasite, you will recieve the Latiosite in Alpha Sapphire from your mother after the Delta Episode has been completed, and you will get the Latiasite on Southern Island after being escorted by Steven on Route 118. The exact opposite will occur in Omega Ruby. Hmm… isn’t it interesting how you will catch the Pokemon whose color is opposite to that of its version. Sound familiar? Anyways, although you are able to recieve both Mega Stones in either game, you will need the Eon Ticket to obtain the Eon Pokemon that is opposite to your version. For more information how to do that, check out an article that our fellow moving posted a while back- http://pokejungle.net/2014/11/29/get-eon-ticket-pokemon-omega-ruby-alpha-sapphire/

To recieve the Metagrossite, you can do one of two things. You can participate in the Beldum Event which runs until January 14th, 2015, where you can recieve a Shiny Beldum as well as a Metagrossite. If you happen to miss out on this event or want to grab an extra one, you can get one from Steven after rematching the Elite Four once.

And finally, you can recieve the Salamancite from Zinnia’s grandmother after you have completed the Delta Episode.

Well, that’s all for this week! Let me know in the comments if this is a series that you guys feel would be useful and you’d like for me to continue. Tune back in this Saturday for the second half of the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Mega Stone locations!

  1. For some reason when I right click in a profile’s picture to get into a profile on disqus it shows a user called null… Anyone else having something similar? It tends to happen on my tablet more often than my computer.

I’m currently working on catching the new dexnav pokes that came back to Hoenn and then I’ll proceed to pacifidlog town

          • Sr for shiny regi’s. I’m not gonna go to any mirage spots either until I beat the game and settle down. I already SR’ed for both of my shiny lati’s. Got Latias after 14 cutscenes/battles, and Latios after 200 something runaways

boufallant was a bish to get to appear lol

you don’t need the shiny charm to hunt shinies haha. the odds are still low. I got a shiny wynaut from lavaridge without even trying

          • OMG! Thank you!! I forgot about mirage spots!! Do they work with areanav and show the crowns!? I need to do those

          • Yeah I always get the messages but I completely forgot plus I think I may be missing one Pokemon for soaring flying types. The birds you find while soaring. I think just Murkrow tho

  5. Heavy maybe sometime next weekend or any day after next Friday if you have your competitive Pokemon in your ORAS would you like to battle. I want to see how my team would fare. I haven’t battled you in forever or at all in that matter.

    • Yeah I suppose. I’ve transfered over a team I used a lot in XY with only like 1 or 2 differences in it, but once I get settled in after I beat oras I’m gonna work on building an entire new team.

I look forward to our match ^_^

      • Awesome! And same. I say next weekend because after next Friday I have 2 week winter break so it will be the best time for me. I look forward to it. I may make some tweaks on Pokemon due to return of move tutors but idk yet. One includes possible heal bell on clef able since I didn’t Breed it XD
