Bond697, Slashmolder, Kaphotics, and SciresM from Project Pokémon have posted stats for the new Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Take these with a grain of salt, but based on their track record with X/Y ROM information they are plausible. They have also posted a what is supposedly a form change for Hoopa.

Mega Lopunny is a better Mega Manectric;better defenses but with alot of weaknesses. One is base on Attack and the other on Spe Atk. Lopunny can easily be OU.
Lopunny also has a way to actually boost it’s attack. But Manectric has intimidate.
Lopunny is really good.

Pokemon that are definitely strong with their mega evolution. Mega Metagross, Mega Salamence (Classic but that Defence is too much), Mega Gallade is just strong and quite fast, he gets some defence Mega Gardevoir seriously lacked. Mega Audino, Sableye and Altaria are best for support. Altaria is mixed for me. Mega Rayquaza is simply GOD. Too OP for this game!!!!

If you intend to do a team based on Distortion, Mega Camerupt is perfect, on Sand Mega Steelix iis perfect (he can be good for a distortion team too). Mega Beedrill is good but too risky with no defence, any priority move can destroy him. Mega Pidgeot can an amazing Mega, it all depends on moves of the move tutors.

BTW Mega Sceptile can be the perfect counter for Mega Salamence since he is faster and hits on Spe. def which Salamence lacks of. Even Garchomp will have a hard time beating Mega Salamence with that crazy def. Maybe Mega Altaria is there for it; lol.

For a valid experiment you need a mega sceptile a life orb sceptile and a neutral pokemon like snore lax
have 2 separate battles one with life orb sceptile
one with mega sceptile
in both battles have both use dragon pulse on that snore lax and see how much damage snorelax took

I’ve done some calcs and I’ve personally come to the conclusion that Sceptile has everything it needs to do its job.

Maxed Speed Mega Sceptile can outspeed +1 Adamant Mega Gyarados. It out speeds and beats all of Greninja, Azumaril and Keldeo with a neutral speed nature (such as modest or rash)….which then gives it more power than the Life Orb Timid Regular Sceptile.
Rock Slide can be used on predicted Talonflame switches or any flying, Fire, or Ice type switches.
That sounds great. I’m using it regardless. Lightningrod is great for Volt Switch predictions which happen all the time lol
Not to mention once Mega Evolve it can switch into a Thunderus T-Wave and KO it at +1 with Leaf Storm after rocks.

The thing is it does not learn some annoying moves other Grass Pokemon usually learn, which is bad. Mega Venusaur is just way better and more annoying and fit in many teams. Sorry Septile, I like your design but IDK!

Steel Wing, Air Slash, Heat Wave, Hyper Beam, and just any move in general in case of lowered accuracy from opponents, which is hardly targeted in the meta game.

Guys if you are gonna use mega sceptile, don’t use + speed nature. Eving mega sceptile is not a simple 252/252 spread. play around with how many evs are necissary to outspeed what you want

I usually go 252/200/56 for my Pokémon. Why those numbers? Makes horde training easier.
I’m more of a fan of single attack with about 100 EVs on Attack/SpecialAttack and Speed and the rest evenly spread throughout the Defenses.
