UPD: Full (and new) scans have surfaced!

An advertisement for the November issue(next month) of Corocoro, from Shonen Sunday, has surfaced, along with the actual October issue of Corocoro!

  • First image leaked(the one in black and white) reveals that a serial code will unlock a trial version of Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire that starts you with the middle evolution of a starter in the November issue of Corocoro
  • Claims that you will obtain a new Mega Evolution in this demo; the words used leaves room for the fact that it could be a never before seen Mega Evolution
  • Mega Sharpedo gets Strong Jaw for ability, get’s a basic stat boost with no particular stat getting a big boost, typing does not change
  • Mega Camerupt gets Sheer Force for ability, gets a speed decrease and boost in everything else, typing does not change
  • Mega Kyogre gets Rain of Beginnings(“strong rain”) for ability
  • Mega Groudon gets Land of Endings(“strong daylight”) for ability
  • No details on Mega Gallade ability or boosted stats yet
  • Groudon’s new move is called “Cliff Sword”

Day 2

  • Kyogre’s new move is called Origin Wave, hits multiple targets
  • Groudon’s Cliff Sword also hits multiple targets
  • Rayquaza is connected in some way to the mystery of Mega Evolution
  • Corocoro ORAS demo to feature a never before seen Mega Evolution
  • Corocoro ORAS demo also set to feature a special storyline exclusive to the Corocoro demo if you play the demo everyday, with other secrets teased for next issue
  • You can bring over items obtained in the demo to the actual game
  • Mega Gallade gets Inner Focus for ability. Corocoro does not specifically say what stat is boosted for Mega Gallade, but it does imply that it could be a frail sweeper(“It’s a the-first-attack-wins-the-game type of Pokémon”).  Typing does not change

  1. So, anyone notice on the Hoenn map that there are NEW Dive patches in the Route 129 and Route 130 area? I think this moment of Diving we saw in the trailer on the 4th is where this is! Notice the colony of Corsola. They say Corsola appears in the southern seas. I can see them not having seaweed patches in the area like they do in the other Diving route portions for this new section so that you can still only catch Corsola around the waters in Pacifidlog Town.   7. So, with Mega Gallade, Sharpedo, and Camerupt all revealed this month, there only remains two Mega Evolutions I want on my Top 5 wishlist: Machamp & Milotic!
    I hope to god they give Machamp one (I think Milotic is a given)! Please Game Freak! Please! You gave Gallade a Mega Evolution and Gallade is a counterpart to Gardevoir. I also consider Alakazam and Gyarados the counterpart to Machamp and Milotic respectively, so please make my wishes come true! *Prays to Arceus*

  15. So, upon staring at Mega Sharpedo’s CoroCoro scan for hours, I found out that it has tiny little back fins (I circled them in black) and that it’s in-game model is larger and longer than the regular Sharpedo’s, so we sorta have a full body shark I guess.

  17. I find it really interesting how Scizor has a Mega Evolution, Gyarados has a Mega Evolution, and as of ORAS, Altaria now has a Mega Evolution. These are all Pokemon that the Kalos Elite Four have, Wilkstrom, Seibold, and Drasna respectively. I honestly think we’ll get a Mega Torkoal in the future (Malva had a Torkoal on her team). And that in Z/X2/Y2/or whatever comes out as the next Kalos installment, these Pokemon will Mega Evolve in rematches with the Elite Four in the future game(s). That would make for a great challenge! 😀

I think with more Mega Evolutions and improvements to the overall Generation VI engine as of ORAS and the groundwork of X and Y setting up for future games, Z/X2/Y2/whatever comes out is gonna be really awesome! I hope we get a southern Kalos section! Because man oh man is that Volcanion background thing about it being revered as a nation building Pokemon in southern Kalos such a tease! I feel there is so much to Kalos than there was in X and Y. And I feel that ORAS will have a stronger post-game than XY. I’m very optimistic toward the future!

  21. So, counting Mega Sharpedo, Mega Camerupt, Mega Gallade and the Lati@s twins, we have 43 Mega Evolutions in total. I think we’ll have two to seven more revealed in ORAS, bringing the total to either 45 or 50. What do you hope that these Mega Evolutions leftover to be revealed will be? I hope for Milotic and Machamp of course, as I said before.
