Four Pokémon per Elite Four member. Unova had it, Kalos had it. At least in Unova, you could rematch them and they’d have a stronger team.

1st visit normal Pokemon
1st rematch higher levels and more/different Poke
2nd Rematch a Mega Pokemon per team and way higher levels (reaching a mid 80 level)

and its a fast pace battle of Fire and Water
Holy crap! Mega Sharpedo might actually look like a full-bodied shark… or like a Banzai Bill XD
and the battle rages on but Camerupt is a slight disadvantage with the sea battlefield that’s why it uses eruption and lave spews out everywhere making a semi-giant land form with little ports of water for Sharpedo to swim through
