Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Trailer and Details

Nintendo’s Digital E3 was broadcast earlier today and with it the company has shared a handful of details relating to new Pokémon games. Below you can find our coverage of the news, expect more throughout the day with in depth coverage just around the corner!

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

And full trailer has been shown for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, showing Hoenn completely remade with 3D environments. Launching worldwide on November 21 in the US and November 28 in Europe!

In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Kyogre and Groudon are able undergo a process known as Primal Reversion. This allows the two Pokémon to revert into Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, and allows them to draw back power from nature and gain an even larger power boost. When undergoing Primal Reversion, Kyogre receives a boost to its Special Attack stat whilst Groudon become Ground/Fire type and gains a boosted Attack stat. Both Pokémon also seem to gain a boost to their abilities, although it’s not possible to confirm this yet.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will bring players even closer to discovering the secrets behind Mega Evolution, with players seeking out Pokémon capable of Mega Evolving and unlocking their incredible potential. More Mega Stones are said to be hidden across the Hoenn region. It also appears that there may be a link between Mega Evolution and Primal Reversion.

Below are a selection of screenshots and artwork showing the updated Hoenn region and the two legendary Pokémon undergoing Primal Reversion.

  2. Sorry, I want to be all excited and happy, but why the fuck does Europe get these games a week later than everyone else? This is so unfair!

  3. If I ever became a professional Smash Bros. player, my nickname would be Xatu. I like to think of it as my nickname.

  4. I’m going to buy a Nintendo 64 this summer if I can find a composite cable switch with an HDMI output. That must exist in some corner of the Earth.

          • There was one before that tho on Pokebeach traced back to Italy releasing images of the stones place, the inside of Pokemon Center, Greninja, etc. (iirc)

          • Regardless it is rather crap of them to call it a worldwide release when in fact one of the largest continents is getting it a week after the rest of the world when it has been proven that a worldwide release does work well (a few snags here and there but overall fairly well). So much for their wish that everyone gets to begin their journey at the same time 🙁

          • Maybe it’s based on sales numbers from XY, which regions sold the highest? I have no clue the numbers or reasoning behind this tbh

          • It just doesn’t make sense… if it was longer then there may be a valid reason but what could be the reasoning behind a week?? I guess we will never know but it certainly is very disappointing that they want to treat their fans like this. Looks like i along with many of my fellow junglers will not be able to participate in launch week with everyone else 🙁

        • Maybe they think Europe is dumb? So by setting the release date there later, this time when they release it early, it’ll be on time? 😀

        • Maybe they figure you guys will get it early again, so they spaced it out so we all get it at the same time hahhahaha

          • Its still not fair though- European fans getting it a week later than literally everywhere else makes no sense.

          • No I gotcha. It’s a shame really. Especially since they basically are still calling it a worldwide release

          • I watched Marriland’s video and he mentioned Canada doesn’t have a release date mentioned. They will be probably in the same boat as you, maybe even later.

          • Its just horrible for those of us that will not be able to participate on launch week here on Pokejungle along with everyone else. It wouldn’t be so bad if we hadn’t been able to do it for XY. Its like saying “here have £1,000,000” then two minutes later saying actually “have £1”.

          • Already preorderd…its just when they said worldwide release i assumed they actually meant worldwide like with XY.

  5. Anyone else notice that where the Battle Frontier is located is conveniently covered in clouds. That makes me excited. I’m kind of bummed out that we won’t have a big city like Luminous or Castelia. I would have thought for a while that it would have been Lilycove, but I guess not. Can’t wait to play this game.
