Scans are surfacing of the latest CoroCoro issue and it’s a doozy! Mega Evolutions of Sceptile, Swampert, and Diancie have all been revealed along with other misc information 🙂
Details
Pokémon
- Mega Sceptile is Grass/Dragon with the ability Lightning Rod
- Mega Swampert’s ability is Swift Swim
- Mega Diancie’s ability has yet to be revealed
- Groudon and Kyogre’s new forms can be translated to either Primeval or Prehistoric. These forms appear to come from “nature’s energy”.
- The subtext for Groudon and Kyogre suggests new moves.
Characters
- New character art for Brendan and May
- Steven returns and is researching Mega Evolution
- Archie and Maxie are still leading Team Aqua and Team Magma respectively. Their Admins also return. All have received redesigned character art.
- Players will still have access to the Acro and Mach bikes (whoo! mach4life)
- Brendan and May will use the new ‘Mega Bangle‘ that will be used for Mega Evolutions in battle

But they wouldn’t put a mega in a game that comes out before it is even playable right? Like, Mega Sceptile comes out in Nov, after Smash 3DS.
Who knows. They’ve showcased new Pokemon before being playable, like in Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, it showed Gen 4 Pokemon.

If Wallace is the champion, he should have Mega Milotic (Water Fairy), and then Steven can be the strongest trainer in the game and have Mega Metagross. That would be awesome.

So Ancient Devolution is the new mechanic as opposed to Mega Evolution. I wonder if this was the new thing that was set to change the battle scene, and how many other Pokemon will get ancient devo’s? Dialga (primal form), maybe Bronzong? (According to its dex, In ancient times it uses to reflect like a mirror). I think the title “ancient” and going back further supports XY getting a prequel game. Ancient Devo for Zygarde? I think yes.

yeah, because instead of saying “mega groudon” and “mega kyogre” you would say “atom”. I’ve been hearing the mechanic for america might be called Atom Devolution as well
I’ve also been hearing “Primal” as well which made me question whether Primal Dialga could be a thing now

Im seriously questioning people’s common sense. Game Freak will obviously bring back customization and all that jazz, so just change your character to how you want them to look, its called a DEFAULT.

Lightning Rod is absolutely useless. Nobody will use an electric move if Sceptile is alive. And you have to reveal it to mega evolve it.
