Yup In hoenn they did not have the dance, the costume change, or the three judges
You could lose points in the hoenn contests
So basically Hoenn contests have only an appeal to see which pokemon people like the most and had one judge, and you could lose points
Ahh, I presume they’ll draw more inspiration from the Sinnoh ones then in the remake.
Lol. I used to get so angry when i do an amazing move, get loads of appeal points, then one of them uses a move that makes me lose half of them….
OMG YES. Or when the judge only needs 1 more star to be wowed and someone selects the same judge as you and WOWs them. Argjhjhhh

My internal battery’s been dead for awhile.

When I was around 13 or 14… I told myself Gen 3 would be my last Pokemon series. I legit didn’t have ANYTHING to do with Pokemon… until I was in Walmart one day and saw for NDS “Pokemon Platinum”, and thought the mascot looked really cool. I never even heard of D/P. Platinum had brought be back into the world of Pokemon when I said I would leave.
Ever since then, as a young adult I’ve been more immersed in the world of Pokemon than ever. XY is truly the best games for me. Been playing Since Red,
I value your decision, but I know it won’t be definite. Gen 7 will come and bring some awesome, ridiculous, & amazing new content & Pokemon and you’ll be right back to square 1 haha.

Q: Did Gamfreak leave any strong hints of new generations in previous games? The gen 6 hiker is just too big if a hint for a new gen, maybe 6.5? Were old hints as big as this or more subtle?

Gen 1 hinted at Politoed & Munna.
1st episode of Indigo Series hinted at Gen 2 by showing Ho-Oh
Gen 3 had Shellos inside of the game’s coding.
And now just discovered from that meme below, Mega Gyarados was hinted at in Master Quest anime.
XY has had the most hints at a new generation though.
When I was about 9 or 10, my best friend at the time used to get these magazines in the mail that his Mom subscribed for him called “Nintendo Power”… and one of the Mag’s had an insert/pic of Professor Oak with a conversation bubble saying “This world has over 1,000 Pokemon”. I still remember that picture like it was yesterday. It’s sat with me ever since.
Tbh, the Mega Gyarados wasn’t planned back then. They only planned gens 1 and 2.

He could of been planned but scraped then found the perfect way to bring him back
Because I believe the XY Anime Series will be the last of “Ash’s Journey Series” in the anime, I believe that the final season should have Brock and Misty fighting against Neo Team Flare (because that’s totally the villanious team in the last Gen VI Main Series Games), and they use M. Gyarados and M. Ludicolo. :3

Like Ash just travelled to the Gen 7 place then his pikachu gets stolen by Team Rocket and Ash has no pokemon with him, then it ends
So long as it’s not the “Pikachu is seriously injured” cliché (which the XY Anime finally broke BTW) then I won’t mind so much. I still don’t want it to happen though.

I love the word “neo” remember when Gen 2 first came out I used to call them Neo Pokemon XD
I still feel like Team Flare won’t be the villainous team in the final Gen 6 game(s), since XY has hints that they were a team around before them (perhaps a prequel) but I love your idea. Ash/Brock/Misty fighting again for old times sake, and all 3 with Mega’s, hell yes.
I do love the word “neo” as well. I feel like the word was hyped from Neo Bowser City in MK7, and then by Neo Team Plasma.
It was also hyped when people referred to the TR in GSC as “Neo Team Rocket”. And the 1st ever TCG for Gen 2 was called “Neo Genesis” XD
there was also Neo Revelation I believe.
