Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Announced

Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!

These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

ps- Personally I cannot be more excited about these games. I don’t know what a heart attack feels like, but I think I had one when I saw these announced.

  1. When X and Y were announced, there was another 9 months until the games released. Now, there are 6 months for these remakes. That means we are at the equivalent of April for X and Y coverage, which means we should already be getting into the thick of things.
    This weekend could be something special!

  3. I have a theory.

    Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are NOT traditional remakes, they are some form of sequel.

    Reasoning:
    Firered and Leafgreen were remakes, and their mascots were previously-known Pokemon.
    Heartgold and Soulsilver were remakes, and their mascots were previously-known Pokemon.

    Pokemon Black and White 2 were sequels, and their mascots were previously UNKNOWN Pokemon.
    Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are “remakes,” and their mascots were previously UNKNOWN Pokemon.

    WHAT DOES THIS TELL YOU? Pokemon ORAS are not your traditional remakes, and could as well be sequels, no matter what any official things so far say. We are too early in the announcement of ORAS to confirm whether or not they are remakes or sequels. I don’t care what announcements were posted, but it all comes down to the gameplay, which I feel will be altered similar to that in BW2.

    I might be crazy, but if you put the pieces together, ORAS will be different.

      That I wholeheartedly agree with.
      I want this to be true, but in the end, I’m okay with just about anything Hoenn.
      Even if it is a game just of the Trick House.
      ESPECIALLY if it is a game of just the Trick House.
      I would buy that game so fast, not even joking.

    ….
    If this is a remake….then Brendan comes back.
    With 3D models….
    Will we finally stop making the mistake that his hair is not white but is actually black with the white being his hat?
    Cause serious, as a 12 (around there) year kid, I totally thought that was his hair.
    Only a couple of years ago did I realize my mistake.
    I felt stupid. I still feel stupid.
    I was a stupid child.

  6. Seriously, I’m going to Bounce now. But before I do, here’s something to think about. Sure, we all know that the anime has made a few mistakes with its Trivia in AG, especially with the infamous “Arbok Evolves into Seviper” one. However, there is one piece they were right about that I refused to believe until Mega Evolutions were announced.

    A: Mawile

    Ash was right all along! 😀 This is during the Hoenn Frontier BTW. I think it’s the one where Ash battles Morrison.
