Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:
Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!
Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!
These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

It seems like it’s saying that new Pokemon fans will be able to experience the original storyline, by the wording.

if it was a remake, there would be a pronoun for the ” Ruby and sapphire” Antecedent. So it would say, “ITS dramatic story line.” but instead it says “The”, which implies that it’s a separate thing.

I feel like the only way the trailer could have been better was if they had music playing in the background. Even if they arent remakes due to all the theories out there, they could have done maybe a remix of a popular song from a battle or route. Other than that, i was super happy to it this morning.

Impyling that the new generation is children who were not able to experience the original storyline. Remakes.

It doesn’t say “THAT” storyline, “that” meaning that of the old R/S. And also there are lots of things in the vid to support sequels.
Nobody said that a remake has to have a cloned storyline.

I think it would be ridiculous if they took 2 gens to REMAKE a game with different graphics. I think if they took this much time, they would have a different storyline too. AND Kyogre and groudon look so different!!!
